Today, choose Kindness…

“Be kind whenever possible.  It is always possible.”

“When we feel love and kindness towards others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace.”

~ Both quotes from The Dalai Lama

Just for today, choose kindness.

Choose to smile from your heart.

Hold back any harsh thoughts, words or criticisms, and find a way to be gentle in your dealings with self and others.

Let kindness be both your journey and your destination.

Just for today, choose kindness.

Let kindness colour the way you see the world.

Put away judgement, and seek out things that can swell your heart with gratitude.

Look for the good in people, the beauty in your surroundings, the blessings at your feet.

Appreciate the simple things, and if you can, share those simple things with others.

A caring word, a gentle touch, a nod of support – none of these things will cost you a penny, but to someone they might be priceless gifts.

When we choose kindness, we ease the way for ourselves and others.  We become an agent for flow and abundance.  Our attitude affirms the goodness and connection inherent in this experience we call life.

We may become an Earthly Angel for someone for whom the Universe intends support or encouragement. God and good can only work THROUGH us. Why not be an agent for that good? Why not be choose to be part of a deliberate energy of love and positivity?

Whatever we choose to think and believe, whatever actions we offer up to the world, our energies come back to us, multiplied.

The kindness we offer today will find its way back to us when we most need it.

And through the act of living from our hearts, we are transformed, becoming magnetic to even more good-will and positive energy.

Just for today, choose kindness.

Let the energy of love transform your life.  Let the energy of love transform our world.

Just for today, choose kindness.

Today, in someone’s darkness, you can be the Light. ♥

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Thank you Nicole… heartwarming and soul awakening. Got me down to a pen and paper… beauty to affirm for myself and others. Much love and blessings 🙏💞

  2. Thank you for this post, TW, another wonderful one. Kindness…soooo sorely needed in our world today…in some circles it’s taken as a sign of weakness, but no, no…the very thought of it makes one feel better…but Theosophy always takes it one step further, reminding us what it truly means to do this consciously and consistently…so, it’s one thing to be kind because it just feels good to do it, but what mercy it is, both for the one giving and also the one receiving that being kind makes of us all agents for the Greater Good…kindness as a spiritual practice, just awesome…have to make a concerted effort in the coming week, and take notes…try not to get grumpy about the world’s events, or the ones in my little life… see how well I did or did not do, correct, start again…thank you, TW, you are SO KIND!!!….NAMASTE ALL!

  3. My topic for this week on my conscious connections bit on my facebook page is about kindness. This is chock full of beauty, advice, wisdom, truth, and connectedness. Thank you.

  4. Reblogged this on Theosophy Watch and commented:
One reason I admire His Holiness the Dalai Lama is that he summed up his religion in a single word. Tibetan monks at monasteries memorize long sections of text. As part of their training they tradition they practice the art of debating. Yet a single word summary? The Dalai Lama says “My religion is kindness”. You can carry that with you. – Reed Carson

  5. CiC,
Le Clown is finally hear! Blow the trumpets!! Ok. So it took me some time… But it’s all WordPress’ fault. In the spirit of your post, though, I won’t say anything spiteful out of spite, as it wouldn’t be kind. It would be spiteful. Seriously, happy to be finally reading you.

    1. Le Clown!!!!

Wait a moment, while I roll out the red carpet…

Wait a little longer, perhaps reclining on this stylish chaise, while I organise some acrobatic tumbles, a brass band, and some charming refreshments.

      There. I am ready…

Welcome, Le Clown. I am honoured!

It feels good to welcome you in the manner to which you really should be accustomed. Loving your blog, and I hope everyone pops over to check it out themselves!

  6. What is amazing to me is when you have the opportunity to be kind to a total stranger, they are often so surprized by the small act of kindness that it’s hard for them to contain themselves. Like they had forgotten that people are suppose to be kind to each other. When did we get like this? Or has it always been that way and I never noticed? My husband and I find this to be a game we play when we are out and about. It’s fun and heart lifting.

  7. I LOVE this so much Nicole. I think this must be the number one thing that I tell my children. “Be Kind” Xx

  8. You are brilliant, Nicole, and this is a fantastic post. I am accessing your blog via reader now as the stupid WP notification thing still isn’t working – sorry, should say the lovely WP notification still isn’t working (in the spirit of kindness to WP)
    Your blog is enriching!

  9. That’s gorgeous writing Nicole.. Thankyou sounds like a great plan. That picture of the teaset is so heartwarming, I search the secondhand stores all the time for one just like it. It reminds me of my nanna and keeps her close by. Have a beautiful smiley day. xxxx

  10. As always, in the darkness before the dawn, you find the message we need to hear. God bless you Nicole, you make my life at least, a little easier to understand and find a solid place to start from. Thank you. Susan x
