Gratitude is the best attitude. ~Author Unknown
Congratulations! You’ve reached Day 2 of the Gratitude Challenge. Already you are beginning to make valuable deposits into the Universal Bank Account of Good that has your name on it.
Each time we give thanks, each time we feel and acknowledge gratitude for the many Blessings already present in our lives, we invite the Universe to send us more. We create a state of positive receptivity that renders us magnetic to what will bring us further joy and abundance.
Each time we bless others, and give thanks to them, we are making a deposit into their Universal Bank Account of Good as well as making a deposit in our own!

As you are sharing this journey with others, you are helping each other to grow and prosper. You are sharing love, Light and Kindness with the world with each act of Gratitude.
Today we will start by Counting our Blessings. If you need a reminder of the process, you can review it here in Day 1 of the Gratitude Challenge.
- List five Blessings in your journal, explaining why you are grateful for each one.
- Count your Blessings off on the fingers of one hand, summoning positive emotion about each Blessing and saying Thank You from your heart for each one.
- Tonight before you go to sleep, hold your Gratitude Rock and affirm I am richly Blessed. I have an Abundance of Good in my life. Hold in your mind one or more image of a thing you have been grateful for today. Swell that positive energy up in your heart like a beautiful golden light, and give a heart-felt Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to the Universe, then visualise a tiny shower of golden light travelling from your heart into your Gratitude Rock.
- Still holding your Gratitude Rock, bless your fellow travellers on this Gratitude Journey by sending them golden light, and saying Thank you. I Bless You. I intend for you Love, Miracles and Abundance. Know that as you are saying this for them, they are also saying this for you. Feel that connection and gratitude and know that there is real love and support for you here. Place your rock back beside your bed, and go to sleep, cocooned in this good energy.
If all you do is these first four steps that is enough. But if your heart is all bursting with joy and excitement and you feel inclined to do a little more, then complete the additional exercise below:
Embroidering small details of gratitude

An ordinary meal of a mug of tea and homemade sandwiches is still reason to give thanks. Image from ocaoimh.ie
Often we eat without any great pleasure or even awareness. During one of your meals or coffee breaks today, allow yourself to truly live in the moment, savouring each mouthful of your food or drink. Notice the temperature, the texture, the flavours. Eat or drink slowly. Allow yourself to relax, giving yourself the gift of time and mindfulness as well as of nourishment.
So many lives, so many actions have gone into producing this nourishment that you now hold in your own hands – farmers, drivers, grocery store shelf packers, bakers, retail assistants. There has been sunshine and rain and time and care. When you are finished your meal, feel gratitude in your heart and say Thank You to the Universe that meets your needs in such graceful and complex ways. Show clear gratitude to the people involved with preparing or selling that meal by thanking them too. Sharing gratitude is a precious gift that benefits us all. Don’t forget to thank yourself as well, for taking such good care of you.
Thanks for completing Day 2. Today I wish for you every good thing. See you tomorrow for Day 3. Well done – you are changing your life by changing your thoughts! Bless ♥ xx

Thankyou Nicole for helping me understand just how much the universe and what’s in it means to me. <3
Kellie! {{{HUGS}}} You just made me cry…
We do live in the most awesome Universe, and this life is a Blessing beyond what most of us will ever consciously appreciate. I’m so glad to be a part of it, and to share some of my journey with you. xx
Oh now I’m crying again.. Today is obviously going to be emotional, This is so good for me. Just not in public places though i hope..I’ll probably buy the paper and break out in thankyou tears and they’ll be like “what the”? I’ll have to say it’s your gratitude course lol Thankyou for sharing. xx Have an awesome Friday <3
thanks Nicole, imagine my surprise when I went to work yesterday and a work colleague, out of the blue! said ‘I have bought some clothes in a bag you might be interested in’!! I was stoked, and yes the clothes were a perfect fit and my style! xo
What a magical example of manifestation, Vicki! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I love how this energy is building xx
Being grateful for the small things in life seems to shift the energy. I’ve been worried about money over the last little while as I’m not well enough to work right now and yesterday some money came to me that will put my body at ease so I can heal without worry. Soo very grateful to the universe.. Her lessons are sometimes beyond me but I always know there is a reason in the long run
Worrying always brings more of what we don’t want!
Myra, I’m so happy to hear your news about that small windfall for you. Wishing you nothing but healing, ease and flow. Bless xx
It’s amazing, once you start writing down the things you are grateful for you realise so many more as you move about your day, I could write a whole page worth. Thank you.
I agree – it’s exciting isn’t it, the abundance which we mostly take for granted. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. Much love to you xx
Thanks Nicole. I began with an open mind and excitement. The challenges of late have felt like a one armed climb of Mount Everest! Today there was a real warmth inside despite the chilly morn and bubbles of emotion popped up when I staggered around making that glorious cup of Earl Grey and climbing back into my bed cocooned in warmth inside and out. Thank you for a beautiful start to my day. The first in an age. Susan. Bless>3
Oh Susan, that gladdens my heart. There is so much love and positive energy being generated by all of the wonderful souls here, and I’m thrilled to hear that you are feeling the effects already. {{{HUGS}}} xoxo
Nicole — Am I too late to start? Hopefully not … should I start with day 1 and combine to catch up with the journey?
Becca, it’s never too late to start. Just go back to the beginning and… begin. No need to catch up. There are many others just starting too. It’s perfect timing for you. Bless xx

Thanks, Nicole. I’ve been sinking deep of late, and you’ve made me begin to feel there is hope. I went into a beautiful shop yesterday and bought a lovely pale pink healing rock, and on the spur of the moment, I had a psychic reading. I feel so much better now. Bless you <3
Sounds like a super start to your Gratitude Journey. Hooray for pink healing rocks and psychic readings. Much love to you, Carol. Of course there is hope. Hope and love and all sorts of other good things. xoxo
I was really grumpy when I woke up this morning, after a poor night’s sleep and feeling pain. I thought about your challenge and, despite my grumpiness, somehow the thought of being grateful cheered me up. Then, when I did my 5 things to be thankful for, I started to feel better and the thought that I am going to fill my day with tea just tops it off nicely. This was a brilliant idea of yours, thank you!
Tea just fixes everything, I think. Well, perhaps tea and cake if it’s a bigger sort of grumpiness…
Big, big hugs and love to you, Lorna xoxo
The peacefulness of early morning watching the sun come up; a few precious moments to talk on the phone with a dear friend; listening to classical music; the unconditional love of Annie, my fur-baby, nestled against my side as I sit and savor a steaming mug of coffee ….. it soothes my soul and takes me away from the sleepless night and pain-wracked body, if only for a while …. and I am grateful. Sending out waves of gratitude, healing energies and love to all – and especially to you, dear Nicole; thank you for your generous and beautiful heart. ~ Love, Julie xoxox
Music, fur-baby love, a cup of something hot and comforting – such simple pleasures, and even on our worst days, they can bring us pause to find gratitude in our hearts. Much love to you, beautiful Soul xoxo
