♥ The Healing Message and Gift of each Image ♥

Each butterfly image has a message for you. I have also selected a crystal to best support the message and energies of change in your life.  You could wear or hold this crystal, pop it in your pocket, under your pillow or beside your bed. (If you’d like to know more about working with crystals click here) The Power Word is a word to remind yourself of the quality you most need right now.  You can turn it into your own personal mantra by saying “I choose ___________ ” (insert your Power Word). Your year can also be supported by an Australian Bush Flower Essence, chosen to enhance your positive transformation this year.

1.  Australian Painted Lady Butterfly:

♥ Message – This is the year for you to trust your creativity, to fill up the well that feeds your ideas and inspiration, and to start truly honouring your journey as an artist, no matter what your creative medium might be. If you need to polish your skills find a mentor, a class or a book, but most importantly BE creative.  Make music, make art, write, and don’t be afraid to experiment with expressing your creativity in a variety of ways. Let this be the year where you create what’s in your heart and express your soul’s magic.  ♥ Crystal – Amazonite  ♥ Power Word – Creating  ♥ Australian Bush Flower Essence – Pink Flannel Flower

This is a year for simplifying your life, for finding time for rest and play, for sleep, and for movement.  Look to create a routine and some structure in your life so that you can make time to allow your well-being to become a priority.  Whether it’s getting help with diet and nutrition, joining a yoga class, seeking health practitioners to help you heal, or just having more time for yourself and being out in nature, it’s time to put yourself first for a change.  You’ll be amazed at how transforming your well-being changes your life in ways you can’t begin to imagine.  ♥ Crystal – Jasper – whichever one you’re drawn to!  ♥ Power Word – Well-Being  ♥ Australian Bush Flower Essence – Sunshine Wattle

♥ Message – You have wonderful ideas, you’re a true innovator, and in 2013 you need to find ways to develop and honour your leadership abilities. It’s time to stand out from the crowd.  Look for promotions or ways to start your own business, back your own ideas and respect your intuition in regards the opportunities and relationships around you. Teaching, coaching, leading, managing, writing and developing resources, problem solving and turning things around – that’s what this coming year is all about for you.  ♥ Crystal – Citrine  ♥ Power Word – Solutions  ♥ Australian Bush Flower Essence – Macrocarpa

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Chrysalis

    Where are you?
    Right here, little one.
    It’s very dark.
    Yes, it is.
    Are you cold?
    No, not really, are you?
    No, well maybe a little.
    Be still – it’s easier.
    I know, but I’m restless.
    It won’t be long.
    Do you remember?
    Remember what?
    Remember the light.
    Of course I remember.
    It was warm.
    Sometimes too warm.
    Never too warm.
    Hush – go to sleep.
    I have pretty dreams.
    Yes, I do too.
    I can fly.
    So can I.
    It’s very beautiful.
    Yes, I know.
    Will we fly together?
    Of course little one.
    Where will we go?
    Everywhere I suppose.
    Can we fly to God?
    I don’t see why not.
    I’ll be good.
    You are good little one.

    I’m tired.
    Then sleep for a while.
    Will I wake up again?
    Certainly you will awaken.
I hope that you will be here.
    I am here, little one.
    I was beautiful you know.
    What do you mean?
    As a caterpillar.
    Of course you were.
    Did you see my spots?
    I saw them every day.
I think I crawled rather well.
    No one crawled better.
I liked the way you crawled too.
    Thank you my dear.
We crawled nicely together, didn’t we?
    We made a fine couple.
    Will we be beautiful again?
I have no doubt we will.
    Will we have spots?
    Yes, we will have spots.
    What color will they be?
I don’t know, wait and see.
    Will we be the same?
    Go to sleep little one.

    Yes, I am sleepy.
    Let yourself go – dissolve.
    I am dissolving.
    Let your wings grow.
    Wings – how wonderful.
    Yes, it is wonderful.
    I love you.
I love you too, little one.
    We will fly together?
Yes we will climb very high.
Where will we come to rest?
    In the heart of God.
    Oh – I thought so.
Now hush – dissolve – grow.
Will you be there when I wake up?
    I will always be here.
    Good night my love
    Sleep well little one.
    Good night.

  2. I love this. I had trouble choosing among the butterfly beauties. The Australian Painted butterfly and the Morpho Butterfly landed in first and second place. I like your divination posts.

  3. Nicole, absolutely beautiful oracle and the butterfly i chose was perfect for me of course. I chose 5. Malachite Butterfly and then followed closely by #1 and #7 which were totally wonderful too…
Very excited about this coming year… Both feet are in!

  4. Thank you, Nicole! I love your various forecasts and predictions you do with different pictures. Number 1 and 6, in that order, called me. Number 3 repelled me-I read it and knew why! It called for leadership abilities and taking lots of risks…not my ‘thing’ at all! lol

  5. Thanks Nicole. I always find your blog inspiring. The Blue Morpho Butterfly (#6) jumped out at me, and coincidently, I used an image of this same butterfly to represent the metamorphosis I am currently undergoing in my life journey presentation for the final session of my Gestalt Therapy course at the end of 2012. And the message of freedom and adventure is very appropriate for me at this time. In fact, I have had a growing urge over the last few weeks to spend a couple of months walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain this year, and I am considering taking up an opportunity to do some walking in Nepal with friends later this year as well. 2013 is shaping up to be my year of adventure. Mike

  6. What a lovely selection of butterfliles. I think I was most drawn to the Tiger Swallowtail because it looks old-fasioned, like a piece of parchment. I was just thinking before I read your post that I need to factor in a bit of play every day, so that’s bang on for me, thank you. Incidentally, I’ve never seen or even heard of the snake butterfly before, what an exquisite creature!

  7. Thanks Nicole! Painted lady for me… and is sooo spot on. Only five days into the new year and I’ve already attended workshops, watched tutorials and felt the rush of artistic creative drive. I want to really open up to my creativity in 2013!
But thank you also to Jesann for her great first question… because I too was repelled by a butterfly: the snake. And after reading your advice on this Nicole, I read it’s description and what do you know? It’s about personal power … which is what I chose as my power-word for 2013 from your recent post … CLEARLY something I have mixed energies around, so will sit with both for a while. Thanks again! xxx

  8. Hi Nicole that was fun… and incredibly accurate… I went for#1 first and #3 as my second choice… and I’m already combining them fairly dynamically. I’ve had an awesome start to the year with a project called Creativity Lab that we created last year. It has grown wings in the past few weeks…(we’re going global – invites to run the events in 5 other countries so far for 2013) with sooooo much more to come! Thank you! Happy new everything 🙂

  9. Nicole that was amazing- I was immediately drawn by the blue of #6 on the way down the page #3 caught my eye and my soul- the patterns I think My theme I have chosen for the year is shine- step up and play a bigger game so when i read that I felt I was on the path. my word is abundance and so the power word of balance is important as yesterday I felt right out of balance, I was not looking after my inspiration. I am writing my story too love and light Suziexx

  10. Hi Nicole loved the post. No 1 and no 7 were my choices and both work in beautifully together for me with 1 supporting 7. Thank you. Love Anita

  11. Lovely oracle and beautiful pics; I chose the Australian painted lady butterfly.
It harmonises with my intention Love Expression. Thank you, Nicole. I love you. This helps me to live my intention

  12. This may be a strange question, but what if you’re actually repelled by one of the pictures? I did find one I’m drawn to (#5, and it was totally appropriate), but another picture made me recoil (#3, possibly because that red spot reminds me of a nasty bug here in Southern California). Should I assume it’s just the association with the bug, or is there anything else I should be looking at? The description for #3 describes a lot of what I was starting to do in 2012, if that helps. Thanks.

    1. That’s okay 🙂 – the main thing is letting go of the energies around #3. I think they are all beautiful in their own way, but of course one is going to be a clearer ‘better-fit’ message for you. I love how #3 is saying to you, Hey Jesann, can we just spend a minute here please, before we charge forward with the energies of the new year. Let’s tidy up 2012 first!

    2. A great question, Jesann. Sometimes what we are most repelled by also holds an essence of what we need to pay attention to right now.

Go with #5 but do some work with letting go of the energies around the meaning of #3.

Much love to you, Nicole xx

    3. Thank you, Nicole. What you’re advising feels right. Interesting how the one that stopped me (in not-a-good-way) had a big red spot, like a traffic light. 🙂 The one that drew me in had that nice breezy blue.
