Day 30 – Gratitude Challenge

Image from heathermhunter.com

“Expressing gratitude is a natural state of being and reminds us that we are all connected.”  ~ Valerie Elster

There is a natural flow and inter-connectedness within the Universe, and we are part of that energy too. No matter how ordinary and mundane we may feel from day to day, the truth is that we are incredible BEings – we are Souls having a physical experience here in this lifetime.

Each of us is Blessed with a way to tap into that interconnectedness of all things.  It’s called intuition. If you doubt this, think for a minute: Have you ever thought of a friend and then they called you? Have you ever had a hunch, a positive feeling about something, an insight or understanding without knowing why?  Has your body ever communicated with you by showing you what makes it feel good, and what doesn’t?

We are strongly guided. We are deeply loved. And each of us has the ability to use our thoughts and emotions to influence our reality. In truth we are all Lightworkers. The more we release feelings of fear and lack, and move into a place of gratitude, trust and abundant thinking, the more our inherent intuition and spiritual connection will strengthen – acting as a compass to guide us through life’s journey.

Today, take a moment to tune into the music of the universe, and the wisdom of your own heart. Be grateful for your sensitivity, your energy, your intuition, the Infinite Love that surrounds you, and for your connection to that Love.

Counting Our Blessings and Using our Gratitude Rock

If you need a detailed reminder of our daily process, you can review it here in Day 1 of the Gratitude Challenge.

  1. List five Blessings in your journal, explaining why you are grateful for each one.
  2. Count your Blessings off on your fingers, summoning positive emotion and saying Thank You from your heart for each one.
  3. Write the following words on a piece of paper, feeling the truth of this energy in your heart,  and add this paper to the ones already under your Gratitude Rock : I am connected to all things, and I honour and claim my spiritual and energetic connection with the World. I am grateful for my intuitive gifts.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
  4. Tonight before you go to sleep, hold your Gratitude Rock and affirm I am richly Blessed. I have an Abundance of Good in my life. Visualise one thing you have been grateful for today. Swell that positive energy up in your heart like a beautiful golden light, and give a heart-felt Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to the Universe, then imagine a tiny shower of golden light travelling from your heart into your Gratitude Rock.
  5. Still holding your Gratitude Rock, bless your fellow travellers on this Gratitude Journey by sending them golden light, and saying Thank you.  I Bless You.  I intend for you Love, Miracles and Abundance. Know that as you are saying this for them, they are also saying this for you. Feel that connection and gratitude and know that there is real love and support for you here.

If all you do today is these five steps, know that is enough.

But if you’re ready for a little more, why not join me for our final gratitude challenge?

Thank You For Our Connection!

Get comfortable and close your eyes.  Visualise all of the friends across the world who have been supporting you on this 30 Day Gratitude Challenge.  Each night, before they go to sleep, they have been sending you positive energy and intention – they have been sending you the energetic vibration of Love, Miracles and Abundance.

Today, flow positive Energy, Love and Gratitude back to them.  Imagine it as golden light flowing energetically from you and travelling all across the world, blessing these souls with your intention and emotion.  You don’t even need to use specific words if you don’t want to – just energy and emotion. Remember to say Thank You, Thank You, Thank You from your heart.

Really feel the inter-connectedness and Oneness of all things.  Feel your place in the world and this invisible energetic bridge that links our hearts and souls.

Allow a feeling of connection to flood through you.  Open yourself up to it. Trust in it. Know that you are a Spiritual BEing having a physical experience and that this energetic connection is your birthright.

Give Thanks for your spiritual nature. Give Thanks for your spiritual connection.  Really feel the Love and Energy that is always around you and flowing to you.  All you ever have to do is connect in with your heart.  It’s as simple as that!

This is a practice you can continue now that our Gratitude Challenge is concluding. Know that I’ll still be here daily, sending my love and good intentions to you. ♥ Why not join me in the energetic practice of flowing Love and Light to the world?

Touch of Friendship by Elizabeth Malara Wieczorek

To finish up your 30 Day Gratitude Challenge, tomorrow gather all of the pieces of paper that have been sitting under your Gratitude Rock this last week.  Put them into an envelope, seal the envelope and write on the front Thank You Universe – My Life is Blessed with Abundance and every day I draw more and more Positive Energy to me.  I Thank You that all my Dreams are coming true.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.  Feel the truth of this energy in your heart.  Then  place the sealed envelope in your Gratitude Journal, and know that with this simple and heart-felt intention you are powerfully transforming your life.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Thank you SO much for joining me and our beautiful community of Lightworkers over the past 30 days.  I am grateful for each and every one of you, and for the unique energy you bring to our existence. My hope is that through this practice of gratitude you are opening to your own magnificence, that you are finding flow, and that you are celebrating being part of creating positive energy in your own life and the lives of others. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Day 29 – Gratitude Challenge

“We are each gifted in a unique and important way. It is our privilege and our adventure to discover our own special light.” ~ Mary Dunbar

If there is one thing I have learned in this lifetime, it is this: When I love myself, when I am kind to myself and encouraging of myself, healing happens, doors open and life falls into place.

One of the singular most powerful acts you can perform that will transform your life is to have gratitude for YOURSELF.

Appreciate your own efforts, acknowledge your work and your growth, be gentle with yourself when you fail, and praise yourself when you pick yourself back up.

Image from positivelypresent.tumblr.com

When we treat ourselves with love and respect, we are sending a strong message to the Universe – what we give out is what we attract back into our life. By respecting and loving ourselves, we attract respectful and loving relationships.

Do I need to add that by running ourselves down, selling ourselves short, heaping criticism upon ourselves, berating and blaming ourselves – we attract negative, exploitive and abusive relationships at home and at work?

Image from positivelypresent.tumblr.com

There is only one you in the whole of creation and there will never be another soul with your unique blend of DNA, thoughts and experiences.

You bring something special to the Universe.

This life is a great gift, and your existence is no accident…

YOU – your unique talents and your very life are Blessings.  It’s true that this can be a challenging perspective at first, but I promise that the more you look at yourself through eyes of love and gratitude the more satisfying your life will become.

Today, think kind thoughts towards yourself, and cultivate an attitude of gratitude for this wonderful journey we call life!

If all you do today is these five steps, know that is enough.

But if you’re ready for a little more, why not join me for today’s gratitude challenge?

Mirror, Mirror!

Go find some quiet place with a mirror. Stand or sit in front of it and close your eyes.  Think about your body for a moment.  Think of how it always works to serve you – so much going on inside you to keep you well and healthy – your body always doing its best for you.  Think of the gift of your mind – that ability to think, imagine, learn, visualise, problem-solve and create. Think of your heart’s ability to connect, to care, to love.  Think of your Soul’s wisdom. You truly are amazing.  Really swell that sense of gratitude for all that you are, and feel it building in your heart.

Image from venusvision.com

When you’re ready, open your eyes.  Look into your own eyes in the mirror and say I Love You, You are Enough. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

It’s okay if this is difficult.  It’s okay if you feel emotional. Just allow for some space in your understanding to know that it is true.

Today I honour you.  Thank you for being you. Bless ♥ xx

Day 28 – Gratitude Challenge

So Precious by Georgina Hart

“What we really want to do is what we are really meant to do. When we do what we are meant to do, money comes to us, doors open for us, we feel useful, and the work we do feels like play to us.” ~ Julia Cameron

“Money is usually attracted, not pursued.” ~ Jim Rohn

Money is not wealth.  Some of my most affluent clients do not have wealth- they just have bucket-loads of money.

So what is wealth?  Wealth is a measure of your true state of abundance.  Wealth is having a richness that supports your value system. What we value is what is important to us – what gives us pleasure, satisfaction, meaning and contentment. If your highest values in life are family and community, then your wealth will come from having a life filled with family and community-centred energies, activities and relationships.  If your highest values in life are financial security and travel, then a wealthy life for you will be about money in the bank, investments and having the money to take vacations away from home.

Money is just energy. Money is neither good nor bad – money is neutral until we put a charge on it based upon our own beliefs and attitudes. A dollar note has no value in and of itself – a dollar note is simply a convenient form of energy storage.  In fact, inside our bank accounts we don’t even have real money – instead we have numbers that represent the dollars that represent stored energy.

If you have positive beliefs about money, and respect for the value of the stored energy it represents, you’ll have a healthy and positive relationship to money.  If you have negative beliefs about money, or about the sort of people who have money, then you’ll find that you and money don’t get along so well…

Today, spend some time thinking about what makes you feel wealthy. Let go of needing to have money. Let go of judging wealth by the numbers in your bank account.  Forget the stereotyped images of what being rich is supposed to look like – mansions and mega-yachts won’t make you happy if they have no place in your value system. Focus on that luxurious feeling of abundance that is generated by having enough of what you want and some to spare.

For me, wealth is about having true friendships and people I love gathered around my kitchen table. Wealth is about having time for myself, and time to do the things I love.  Wealth for me is having enough money to cover my expenses, and to be able to buy things based on wanting and appreciating them versus buying things because I can afford them. I feel wealthy when I am giving and receiving love, engaging with my art, using my talents and gifts, and contributing to community.

What does true wealth look like for you? (If it is mansions and mega-yachts, good for you, but as the old adage says be careful what you wish for!)

Image from casasugar.com

When we fill our life with the things that make us happy we are wealthy beyond measure!  One way to get more of that good stuff in our lives is being thankful for what we already have.  Let’s start by counting our Blessings…

  3. Write the following words on a piece of paper, feeling the truth of this energy in your heart,  and add this paper to the ones already under your Gratitude Rock : My life is filled with riches.  I have an abundance of all that is good and precious to me.

Today’s gratitude challenge is about showing the Universe what we want our lives to look like…

What we think about and thank about, we bring about!

Whatever we think about and add strong emotion to, we begin to draw into our lives.  When we are grateful for the blessings we already have or have had in our lives, our thoughts and emotions align us to these experiences and relationships, and we become magnetic to other positive things with a similar vibration.

Sit back and close your eyes and then just allow yourself to daydream, focusing on experiences, relationships or possessions that give you a sense of wealth in your life.  Think of the places you’ve been, the weather you’ve known, the things around your home, the people in your life, the treasures within your community (sports fields, coffee shops, libraries, hospitals etc) You can use any of the things you have already listed in your gratitude diary, you can choose any moment from along the timeline of your life, and you can even move forward into the future, visualising positive situations that have not yet occurred but that you desire for yourself.  Steep yourself in this wealth.  Let its images wash over you, and sink deep into you.

Feel how many amazing blessings have already graced your life. Let that feeling of wealth, gratitude and joy build up inside you. Know that you are magnetising yourself to more and more good with this energy of appreciation. When you are ready give a heart felt Thank You to the Universe.  Thank You for my Abundant Wealth. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

My wish for you today is that you know how Loved and Blessed you are. My wish for you is that you see the world today through eyes of Gratitude and Love.  Bless ♥ xx

Day 27 – Gratitude Challenge

“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”
~ George Bernard Shaw

Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is more people who have come alive ~ Howard Thurman.

Life is not a career path! Life is a glorious opportunity to explore, to grow, to learn and to become.

No matter whether our lives currently reflect the way we want to live, or whether we have a long way to go to realise our dreams, we can begin to be happy where we are.

The more we find to be grateful for, the more good stuff starts to show up in our lives.  Transforming our energy and our attitude is as simple as cultivating that attitude of gratitude.

If you were to ask me what your purpose was for this lifetime, I could answer this in just two words – Be Happy.

If you needed a longer explanation, then I would say to you that happiness comes from using your natural talents and gifts to express yourself in the world.  Maybe your talent is to be a surgeon, maybe it’s to sew incredible curtains, you might be a natural parent, a brilliant writer, a nutty inventor, or a magical gardener.

In each twenty-four hour period, are you devoting ANY energy to doing things you enjoy and are good at?

Life doesn’t have to be a career path, although for some people it turns out that way. Sometimes a job is just the mechanism that provides the security and pays the bills, so that you can devote the rest of your time to doing what really makes your heart sing.

What makes your heart sing?  What makes you come alive?

Today, give thanks for those energies in your life, and do all you can to incorporate a little more of that activity on a daily or weekly basis.

And for some people, the thing we love and give attention to, grows to be able to support us financially anyway…

Image from desktopia.net

Now let’s build up some more of that delicious attitude of gratitude with our regular practice…

  3. Choose from one of the following phrases, write the words on a piece of paper and add them to the ones already under your Gratitude Rock : I embrace my passion.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. ~ My dreams are becoming clear to me.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. ~ I am open to happiness and flow.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.  ~ I understand that I deserve to be happy.

Today’s gratitude challenge is about energising yourself to actions, activities and opportunities for you to feel good…

Living Happy!

Close your eyes, and think of a time when you were really happy in your life.  What were you doing?  What music did you listen to?  What food did you eat? Who did you hang out with? What was it about this time in your life that made it so magical?

Dwell on that time for a moment, and really feel the happiness, really feel that strong emotional connection and positive energy. Then build up a sense of gratitude in your heart.  Say a heart-felt Thank You to the Universe for the Blessing of happiness.

Image from daniel-wong.com

Now think of an activity that always engages you, relaxes you, makes you feel good…  It could be surfing, sewing, singing, writing, cooking, dancing, bushwalking, researching the family tree, painting or renovating, solving complex maths problems…  It doesn’t matter what it is – it only matters that you enjoy that thing!

See yourself doing that activity.  Feel the pleasure and satisfaction, feel the usefulness, feel the mental engagement or the sense of freedom. Just absorb yourself in thinking about this activity in a pleasurable way, so that it leaves you wanting more. Remember to say Thank You to the Universe for this gift in your life.

Image from blog.babazeka.com

And when you’re done with day-dreaming, take your diary and schedule a little time for reconnecting with this activity in your life.  Plan to buy fabric, or go to the library and get a relevant book, or make some time to simply DO this thing in your life. Just for the love of it.  Just for how it makes you feel.  Life is for living, and for enjoying the journey. Make sure you make time to do something that you LOVE.

Bless  ♥ xx

Day 26 – Gratitude Challenge

Image from zimbio.com

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” ~ Rumi

Human hearts are built for love – to give it, to receive it, to radiate it out into the world…

If you’ve discovered anything during our time together on this gratitude challenge so far, it is this – whenever we develop an attitude of gratitude toward something, we become magnetic towards that energy in our own lives. When we can find areas to be thankful for (even if the blessing feels very small), it opens us to receiving more of that good thing.

So today our focus is on love, and in particular on love relationships.

Love is literally all around us. It is the theme of countless songs, books and movies, it’s at the core of much of our television drama, and it’s played out in our families, with our friends and workmates and in our own lives.

If you are in a love relationship, today, give thanks for that. Think back to when you were first together, and the special moments you shared, think of the love and support you’ve had through the hard times, and the bonds you’ve created together. Celebrate and give thanks for your partnership. Tell them Thank You for loving me.  I’m so grateful to have you in my life. This works a kind of magic on relationships that need revitalization too – whatever we appreciate grows dearer to us, and gains more life and positive energy.  I have seen tired and stagnant relationships blossom under these small attentions.

If you are single, or in a relationship where there is no love, then put your attention on those who have the sort of relationship you would like for yourself. Not to be envious of it – to be thankful for it. Swell that feeling of gratitude in your heart that there are people in the world who have the love you are yearning for.  See them in their happiness and commitment, think of their compatibility, their chemistry, their devotion. Then give genuine thanks for that example of lasting love. Be grateful that such love exists.  Feel excited and uplifted by the possibility of a similar energy of love in your own life. Say Thank You for showing me that True Love is possible.  Thank you for strengthening the energy of Love in the world.

Most of all, practice and give thanks for loving yourself. When we love and treat ourselves well, we attract loving partners who treat us with similar kindness, care and respect!

Image from mondayartday.blogspot.com

As you go throughout your day today, look for evidence of love everywhere. Be that love in your own life.

Now let’s build up some more of that attitude of gratitude with our daily practice…

Counting Our Blessings and Using our Gratitude Rock

If you need a detailed reminder of our daily process, you can review it here in Day 1 of the Gratitude Challenge.

  3. Write the following words on a piece of paper and add them to the ones already under your Gratitude Rock (and trust that I have a plan for these pieces of paper!): I now gratefully open to the energy of Love in my life. I am magnetic to a magical and sacred Union and I welcome it into my Life. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
  4. Tonight before you go to sleep, hold your Gratitude Rock and affirm I am richly Blessed. I have an Abundance of Good in my life. Visualise one thing you have been grateful for today. If all you do today is these five steps, know that is enough.

Want to join me for today’s Gratitude Challenge?  If so, here it is:

Heart Healing

Today’s challenge might be, well, challenging…

Today I want you to close your eyes, and hold an image in your mind of someone who has hurt you in a love relationship. Sincerely, and from your heart, I want you to say Thank you for this Learning Experience.  I forgive you, I wish you well, and I release you with Love. I am grateful for our time together, that taught me so much. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

You can do this process more than once if it feels right to forgive more than one person.

Now hold a picture of yourself in your mind. Sincerely, and from your heart, I want you to say Thank you for being brave enough to Love.  I forgive you, I wish you well, and I release you with Love. I am grateful that I have learned so much. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Finally, hold a picture in your mind of a couple who have the kind of love energy you would like to enjoy in your own life. Or if you are a strong visualiser, imagine yourself already in that type of love relationship. You don’t need words for this – just build a strong energy of love, gratitude, joy and appreciation.

If you are at a time in your life where you no longer desire a relationship external to yourself, visualise a strengthened sense of self-love and a heightened spiritual connection.

Finish this activity by saying I am worthy of Love. I am magnetic to Love. I give thanks for the Love in my life. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Day 25 – Gratitude Challenge

Healing Heart from mysticalpaintings.com

“All healing is first a healing of the heart.”  ~ Carl Townsend

“Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are.” ~ Rachel Naomi Remen

This 30 Day Gratitude Challenge is actually a healing journey.  By practicing daily gratitude we begin to erase old beliefs about lack and limitation, we over-write negative thought patterns and we learn to focus on what is good and positive in the world around us.  This aligns us with energies that bring greater good into our lives.

Something magical starts to happen when we focus on gratitude.

Every minute spent in gratitude is one minute less to spend on worry. It is impossible to be in that place of appreciation and at the same time feel anxious or stressed.

And when we stop being in the energy of stress and anxiety, even if just for a brief window of time, we allow our bodies, hearts and minds the chance to heal, and to become attuned to our nature rhythms and desires.

We begin to draw to us all manner of support, opportunity and flow. We step into abundance.

Let’s build up some more of that attitude of gratitude with our daily practice…

Counting Our Blessings and Using our Gratitude Rock

If you need a detailed reminder of our daily process, you can review it here in Day 1 of the Gratitude Challenge.

  1. List five Blessings in your journal, explaining why you are grateful for each one.
  2. Count your Blessings off on your fingers, summoning positive emotion and saying Thank You from your heart for each one.
  3. Write the following words on a piece of paper and add them to the ones already under your Gratitude Rock (and trust that I have a plan for these pieces of paper!): I now gratefully receive the fullness of the Blessings sent to me by friends both known and unknown. I am open to the Abundance of the Universe and I welcome it into my Life.
  6. Hold your Gratitude Rock up to your heart, close your eyes and feel the energy, love and blessings that have been sent by others now flowing into you.  You might feel this as warmth, or a positive surge of emotion.  You might connect with it as a healing or a spiritual energy, or you might just feel gratitude.  Pay attention to any colours, images, or messages you receive.  When you are done, place your rock back beside your bed, and go to sleep, cocooned in this good energy.

If all you do today is these six steps, know that is enough.

Want to join me for today’s Gratitude Challenge?  If so, here it is:

Thank You for Uplifting Me!

Take five minutes and sit quietly.  Close your eyes, and bring onto the screen of your mind the face of a person who has been helpful, kind or loving to you in some way. Bless them with love and energy by flowing that feel-good feeling from your heart to theirs. Say Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to them, and know that energetically, they can hear and feel your gratitude.

Image from themeangirldiaries.com

Continue to imagine the faces of people who have helped you, even if they are people you have never met in person, even if some of them are no longer alive. It could be a teacher from your childhood, the author of a book that changed you, someone who stopped to help you change a flat tyre…  You don’t even need to know their name, or to be able to recall their face clearly.  Think of the other people on this Gratitude Challenge who are sending you love, energy and support each day. Thank them for uplifting you. Thank them for contributing positive energy to your life.

If you feel drawn to it, shower sparkles of radiant light and love down upon the planet – spreading your gratitude like a gorgeous field of golden flowers.

“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something.  I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.” ~ Edward Everett Hale

Today I give thanks for you. Today I wish for you health, love and happiness.  Today I wish that all your dreams come true, and that new dreams follow. I send you Love.  I send you Light.  I send you Peace in your Heart.  Bless ♥ xx

Day 24 – Gratitude Challenge

All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.
~ T.E. Lawrence

Throughout history, there have been souls who have dared to dream big, and who have acted with great courage to follow their dreams, even when the outcome was not assured, even when they themselves feared failure but still were compelled to try.

When men and women have acted this way, on faith and passion alone, driven by a commitment to that dream, they have often changed history.

Once upon a time, it was considered clinically and physically impossible for humans to run a mile in under four minutes.  Roger Bannister broke through that barrier on May 6, 1954 with a run time of 3 minutes 59.4 seconds. Within weeks others had broken the four-minute-mile too. All it had taken was one man who believed it was possible…

Oscar Pistorius was born without fibulas, and had both legs amputated between the knees and ankles at eleven months of age.  A few days ago he made history as the first double amputee to compete against able-bodied athletes at the London Olympics, reaching the Quarter Finals in the 400m.

Whenever someone has gone before us, their actions create space for us to join them at that leading edge of life.

An important question to ask yourself right now is Who is already doing what I want to be doing with my life?

Isaac Newton, one of the greatest scientists, inventors and mathematicians in history, stated that ‘if he could see further, it was because he stood on the shoulders of giants’.  What he meant by that was that he built his success on the efforts and ideas of those who had preceded him.

Look inside your heart. What is that dream of yours? A soul mate? Financial security? Your own business? A career vastly different to what you’re doing now? Success as a healer, artist, musician, writer?

Having gratitude for those who have already done or who are doing the thing you would like to do brings you into stronger alignment with that energy, making you magnetic to opportunities, ideas, resources and teachers.

Here are a few of the people I am grateful for:

When we focus on appreciation and gratitude, we move ourselves out of resistance and back into flow. And in flow, all things are possible…

So let’s start with our daily practice:

Counting Our Blessings and Using our Gratitude Rock

If you need a detailed reminder of our daily process, you can review it here in Day 1 of the Gratitude Challenge.

  1. List five Blessings in your journal, explaining why you are grateful for each one.
  2. Count your Blessings off on your fingers, summoning positive emotion and saying Thank You from your heart for each one.
  3. Find a picture of someone you admire, who already has the energy of something in their lives that you would like for yourself.  If you can’t find their picture, write their name on a piece of paper. Now write on that image or piece of paper Thank You, insert their name here, for your success with list that thing. I’m so happy and excited for you.  I believe that you are paving the way for me too. With your great example I am moving closer and closer to my own dreams every day.
Place your rock back beside your bed, and go to sleep, cocooned in this good energy.

If all you do today is these five steps, know that is enough.

Want to join me for today’s Gratitude Challenge?  If so, here it is:

Thank You for being You, because that makes it easier for Me to be Me!

Think of something you would like to have in your life – big or small – all that matters is that you have a genuine desire for this thing.

Now think of someone who provides a great example of already having that energy in their lives.  For example, if you want to be an athlete, choose an athlete (from now or any time in history) who displays the talents and success you admire and would like to experience.

Take a moment and really focus on their life, and on the qualities and experiences you would like to see more of in your own daily world. Build an energy of appreciation and gratitude for their choices and their success. When you’re ready say Thank You for showing me my dream is possible! I value you, and I appreciate you.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Then spend a pleasant few minutes daydreaming, and imagining that you already have this thing in your life.  What are you doing?  How do you feel? How does your life look?

Savour this energy as though your dream has been achieved. Feel it in your heart, your mind, your body.  Let yourself overflow with positive energy and gratitude.  Know that as you are thinking about this thing, you are becoming more and more aligned with it.  When you’re ready, say Thank You, Universe, for this gift of _____________.  I am so very grateful for ______________. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.  Swell that energy up in your heart, and mean the words with every fibre of your BEing.

Your positive thoughts and energy are creating huge change in your life. Trust! Believe!

All is well. ♥ xx

Day 23 – Gratitude Challenge

Reach for the stars – by PridesCrossing

“Reach high, for the stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.”                ~ Pamela Vaull Starr

Congratulations! We have just 8 magical days to go on our 30 Day Gratitude Challenge, and we’ve been cooking up a storm of positive energy, love and support for ourselves and others.  Now that we’re into the home stretch we’re going to shift our attention to the creation of a glorious future for ourselves, using the energy of gratitude and appreciation to manifest our heart’s desires.

Gratitude is a wonderful thing – when it pours out from us, it makes us magnetic to more and more good in our own lives.

There are a host of powerful emotions that go hand-in-hand with gratitude, including love, excitement, empowerment, happiness, anticipation, benevolence, joy and wonder.

All of us have had moments in our lives when everything has gone well for us; when the stars have aligned, the Gods have smiled and life has blessed us with gifts beyond our expectations. In this Blessed Space we always experience a surge of positive feel-good energy.

Here are a few of my own wonder-full moments, in no particular order:

The gorgeous Bert. One of the best unexpected presents from the Universe I’ve ever had!

There is always so much to be thankful for in this life, and the more we look, the more we find…

Counting Our Blessings and Using our Gratitude Rock

  1. List five Blessings in your journal, explaining why you are grateful for each one.
  2. Count your Blessings off on your fingers, summoning positive emotion and saying Thank You from your heart for each one.
  3. Find a picture of someone you would like help or direction from, or write their name on a piece of paper.  If you don’t have anyone specific in mind, cut a face out of a magazine, using an image that feels friendly and warm to you. Now write on that image or piece of paper Thank You, Universe, for all of the Help that I am now Attracting. People are so helpful, supportive and kind. With their assistance I am stepping closer and closer to my dreams.

If all you do today is these five steps, know that is enough.

But if you’re up for more of a challenge why not try this?

All Those Unexpected Wins!

Take a moment and search your memories for some of your own wonder-full experiences; the unexpected prize, the dream promotion, the day that was perfect from start to finish, birth of your child, wedding day, amazing park right out the front of the shops on Christmas Eve, free dessert at your favourite restaurant etc etc…

Think about that experience for a moment, and swell this feeling of gratitude and appreciation in your heart as you remember the event, and how special that was for you.

Now create some NEW pictures in your head.  Think about the future and see yourself winning something you’d love to win, enjoying a magical holiday, having someone help you to achieve a dream, or anything else that feels good and that puts you into an energy of positive anticipation. Allow yourself to really feel and enjoy this event as though it’s actually happening right now!

Affirm to the Universe Than You for supplying me with a path to my Dreams.  Thank you for the many Blessings that flow my way. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Trust that with your thoughts, you are creating a positive future for yourself, manifesting helpful people and all manner of success, luck and fortune. ♥

“Life itself is the most wonderful fairytale of all.”

~ Hans Christian Andersen

“If stories come to you, care for them. And learn to give them away where they are needed. Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive.”
~ Barry Lopez, in Crow and Weasel

Stories are powerful things, and they come in many forms; books, movies, songs, poems, plays, ballets and operas, and even through letters and conversations.

In my life, I have been deeply influenced by stories that held a special message for me, or that helped me understand something important.  Stories have inspired, humbled, awed and entertained me.

Have you ever stayed up way beyond bedtime because you just couldn’t put your book down?  Have you ever felt sad and lonely when you got to the end of a book, or a series, and realised that you wouldn’t get to spend any more time with the characters?

Image from fineartamerica.com

Is there a song, or a record/CD that you’ve played over and over again because of how it made you feel?

Have you ever watched a movie that affected you deeply, or even changed your life?

Are there stories from your past that you remember fondly even now?

Is there a TV show or series that feels like an old friend to you?

Today, lets give thanks for the storytellers, and the many, many (often unseen!) people who help to bring those stories to us – the music producers, the animators, the scriptwriters and authors, the publishers and agents and book sellers, the backup singers and session musos (musicians), to name a few.

Stories are a rich Blessing in our lives.

If all you do each day is these first four steps, know that is enough.

Would you like to explore this energy of gratitude more? If so, why not join me for today’s additional gratitude challenge.

Story Time!

Today, give yourself permission to immerse yourself in a story.  Perhaps you might watch a movie, or a DVD.

Maybe you could spend some time reading a book.

You could close your eyes and listen to your favourite album, letting the lyrics create worlds in your head.

Or your could meet up with someone (parents and grandparents can be great for this!) and have them talk about travel, or their childhood, or something that you haven’t heard before or would like to hear again.

Our whole life is a story, and stories are the language that connect us, heart to heart. When we meet someone we share of ourselves by sharing our stories. When we share our life with someone we create stories together. When we die, the stories others tell or remember about us is what keeps us alive in their hearts.

Today, celebrate stories, and give thanks for them. Thank you for the gift of stories in my life!

All of this appreciation and gratitude around stories might even inspire you to create one of your own…

Bless ♥ xx

“Every time I have some moment on a seashore, or in the mountains, or sometimes in a quiet forest, I think this is why the environment has to be preserved.”
~ Bill Bradley

In the morning the city
Spreads its wings
Making a song
In stone that sings.

In the evening the city
Goes to bed
Hanging lights
About its head.
~ Langston Hughes

We are deeply affected by environments. Man-made or natural, each place we spend time in influences our own energies.

Whether we have travelled widely, or stayed closer to home, all of us can find environments to be grateful for.

I am constantly thankful for my farm, and the natural beauty of the Byron Shire.

Libraries are also a favourite haunt, as are good coffee shops – each has their own special magic for me.  I adore the tiny winding streets of inner-city Melbourne with its cafes and hidden arcades of treasures.

I have been moved by the wide open majesty of the Australian Outback, seduced by the sunshine and balmy breezes of tropical islands, and brought into contemplative spiritual spaces in churches, shrines and temples across the world.

What environments have moved you?  What places do you go to replenish your spirit? What places are like medicine for your Soul?

Truly, we have so much to be thankful for.

Gratitude for a Sense of Place

Think of a place that you are grateful for.  It could be something that speaks to you of majesty or freedom, it could be a place where you feel relaxed or safe, it could be a place where your creativity always flows…

Ponder for a moment what makes this particular place special to you.

Then ask yourself, how can I bring some of that magic into my day today?

Find a small way to connect into that energy. Celebrate and give thanks for that blessing of environment, and its gifts for you.

Here are some of my own paths to that connection:

  • Coconut scented body lotion to remind me of tropical holidays
  • A Thai meal, to connect me back to one of my favourite countries
  • Sitting in the sun at lunchtime, to remind me of the freedom and relaxation of a summer day at the beach
  • Coffee in a dark-walled local cafe that somehow transports me back to Venice
  • Flicking through photos or travel brochures
  • Watching clips of favourite places on youtube
  • Visiting a French boulangerie patisserie in Brisbane that evokes Europe every time

Life is a precious gift, just waiting to be unwrapped and enjoyed!
