I usually get up at 4am, meditate, and then write. Lately I’ve been blogging first and then writing (I classify writing as working on one of my books…).
But this morning I am gripped by the plight of one of my characters. I must get their story down onto the page. I have ample tea, the weather is cool and rainy and unsuitable for anything much outside. I have my index cards all sorted and the scenes unfolding in front of me.
And I have this compulsion to keep writing.
So, I will blog a proper blog when this chapter gets done. Or maybe I’ll keep writing. It’s such a good day for it. And I’m itching to find out what happens next…
Cool. Do YOUR thing. I love to read what you have to say when you have time to write 😉 Love the calf on your laptop. Cute fella melis
Thanks Melis! That’s Jack, our bull. He was just a baby there, and now he’s all grown up and gone to live at Peggy’s house. (one of our neighbours). I’m still in this crazy writing place. Luckily the house is well stocked with tea…
I agree with those sentiments above! We’ll still be here when you feel the need of a little rest from writing. 🙂 I only wish I could get the urge like you have, but I know it will come some time, it does now and then and it’s wonderful when you’re in full flow.
Thank you! I’m just filling my teapot for another brew and back to it. Nature is being kind and providing gentle rain as my background music. Perfect writing weather 😀
That does sound perfect. Rain is ideal when you’re indoors writing, it takes away the feeling that you should be outside and makes you feel warm and cosy inside. A pot of tea helps too, of course. 🙂
I will love to read your books!!!
Aw, thanks ♥ xx
Write! Write, dear girl write! And may your room host inspiration to the ceiling!
Oh it’s flowing so well. I love this feeling – when the writing just pours out of you. I know it won’t last so I am doing my best to make the most of this surge of inspiration.
