Transit of Venus, Solar Flares, Polar Shifts, Eclipses and Sensitive People

So, you’re a sensitive soul?  If you’re not sure, you can read more about ‘sensitive’ people here, to see if you identify with any of the common characteristics:

Living as a Sensitive Soul

One thing that sensitive souls will be noticing right now is how all of this astrological shift and change can affect us. What makes us sensitive – that ability to feel and sense energies and information that might not be so readily apparent to others – is also the thing that can make us more vulnerable to astrological and energetic phenomena.  We are more influenced by the energetic shifts and changes, and can be affected in a number of ways, not all of them pleasant.

We may experience a sudden draining of our energy, feel heavy and fatigued, or ache as though we are coming down with the flu.  We may find that we feel depressed or anxious for no reason, or that our sleep patterns are disrupted.  We may feel unbalanced, not quite in our body, suffer from headaches or fuzzy thinking, or be irrational, teary, angry or upset – once again with no apparent cause.  We may become highly over-sensitive – to foods, people, weather, noise and light.

It will always pass.  But when you feel this way, check things out.  Is there something happening with the planets or sun? Are we experiencing geological shifts within our own planet? Are you in close proximity to a lot of electromagnetic energy?

What to do when you’re affected:

If you’re feeling light, vague, airy, disconnected, anxious, fretful or scattered then do what you can to ground:

  • favour foods that are dense; such as grains, root vegetables, dairy, meat and eggs
  • eat larger portions, less often (no less than three meals a day though!)
  • take a powdered magnesium supplement
  • avoid sugar and stimulants such as caffeine
  • spend time in nature – sit, stand or lie on the ground, barefoot if possible
  • rest
  • avoid crowds, wind, lots of noise, and places that are busy or frenzied
  • choose and wear or hold grounding crystals such as jasper, garnet, hematite, pyrite, howlite, bloodstone, sodalite, dessert rose, tourmaline, tiger eye or tiger iron

If you’re feeling exhausted, angry, disoriented, achy, drained, depressed and flat you need to raise your vibration.  Things that help with this include:

  • eating a predominantly plant based diet, and eating lightly and often
  • consume fresh juices that favour a combination of fruits and vegetables (at room temperature)
  • get moving – some yoga, tai chi, qigung or walking will help
  • rest
  • drink plenty of water and herbal teas
  • take a powdered magnesium supplement
  • keep warm, or find ways to generate warmth within your body
  • avoid cold foods, including ice-cream, dairy and cold milks such as soy
  • avoid the news, and things/people/places that are likely to upset or depress you
  • favour crystals that uplift our energy, such as rose quartz, amethyst, smoky quartz, clear quartz, citrine, agates, jade, aventurine, fluorite, carnelian and amber

Know that sensitivity is a blessing.  You just need to know how to manage it.  Know that you’re not alone, and that what you’re feeling is perfectly normal – for a sensitive soul! Bless ♥ xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. I used to have strange intuitions or feelings years ago as a child and teenager, but over the past 10 or so years I have basically lost it. I felt like I have lost my soul. Then on Tuesday June 5th, 2012, I had an overwhelming sense of happiness and love, my heart felt like it was going to pound right out of my chest. It was like I couldn’t consume it and I didn’t know what to do with it. Before that date I was have other physical and emotional feelings, but nothing that strong until that day. It has calmed down slowly each day, but around 5am today (3rd shift employee…) I felt my heart pounding out of my chest again, but not as strong. The past week I have felt like I have found my soul again and that I’m trying to find my purpose in life. I had no idea it had something to do with the solar system and all that jazz. I have always had strong feelings every once in a while. I decided to google what I was feeling. I never had before. I found your link and thank you very much for it! A lot things are starting to make sense! Well, that’s it in a nutshell.

    1. Chelsea, I’m so happy for you! Embrace this sensitivity in you. It’s an important part of who you are. I have no doubt that from this re-awakening it will all start to come together for you. Bless xx

  2. We are on the same page. I’ve known about my sensitivities for at least a decade and a half now. Definitely feeling the planetary transits! My cycle is messed up too. I’m wondering how the Venus and Moon eclipses are affecting our hormones. Good advice for sensitive people.

    1. And it has.

The other part of this is that I noticed people’s adrenaline is more pumped up now and their stress levels will increase due to the amount of tension from these planetary transits and solar flares, which alone is enough to bring insanity.

With cortisol levels hitting the roof, it would not surprise me that we would experience hormonal imbalance. I totally recommend meditation and listening to relaxing music, and spending time in a natural setting.

Definitely, don’t hang out in crowds because that increases stress levels.

  3. Now why had I forgotten what you said before about these things and sensitive people? It is so true…I’ve been out of sorts for a couple of weeks now…this has definitely made an impression I will remember now! It’s so good to know I’m not a ‘case’. And yes, I know it will pass! Thank you Nicole! I tuned out so much I didn’t connect the dots with Venus in transit and solar flares. All of this I say while still in jammies at noon wondering what the heck is wrong with me. 🙂

  4. Wow. That is so amazing to read. I have been just feeling all of everything you described since Thursday. Just fuzzy headed and unmotivated, frustrated and depressed. And starving! All the time. I was actually wondering if it had to do with the transit of Venus. I mean, humans are affected by all kinds of planetary movements (I live above a bar, so I know when it’s a full moon!), so why not this?

And then when I read this, I felt so much better. It’s not me, it’s the universe! Which I know sounds a little goofy, but it did make me feel reassured!

  5. Hey nicole..last night i felt so out of sorts..really sick…dizzy.bad aches..bad headache…but just not right…i couldn.t sleep….then i read your advise on geolocial shift in energies..thankyouh

  6. Gratitude for the information. Presumed some of the happenings physically and mentally were to do with the planets. Yours, Mx

  7. 🌈Mmm, really have been feeling sensitive..my heart has been having wierd palpatations over the last 3-4 days to and have been really noticing how much I take on others stuff.. but have found a quick tool to help…. I scrunch my face muscles up and stretch my jaw ( not really a good look) and take some really deep breaths Put my shoulders back.. while repeating to myself… this is not my stuff… it really works… thought it might be helpful to others.. thanks Nic… for your post very good to know.❤❤❤

  8. I’ve been feeling good in ‘myself’ but have been unwell quite suddenly and off work since Friday. Since we are home we’ve been out tracking the path of venus 🙂

  9. Yes, this Venus transit only happens once every 80 years, I think. And from 20 May – 6 June it is said that the Venus transit causes some people to be irritable, not wanting to do their usual activities, confused, etc.
