Day 10 – Gratitude Challenge

“Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart, it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.”
~ A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

Our future is not fixed.  It is mutable and constantly changing in response to our thoughts, actions and beliefs.

When we believe that our Universe is abundant, and that it is a kind, safe and helpful place – indeed, that the Universe can be utterly delightful – then we start attracting more and more of that kind of positive energy into our lives.

From that place of Abundant Thinking and Gratitude we start to find ourselves expanding. We begin to feel more uplifted, more upbeat.  We gain confidence.

We begin to believe in possibilities. We begin to allow the Grace of the Universe to touch our lives. We get ourselves out of resistance and back into flow.

And from that place of flow, our lives change forever.

But how do we get to that place? Abundant thinking is created by counting our blessings.

Count Our Blessings and Use our Gratitude Rock

If you need a detailed reminder of the process, you can review it here in Day 1 of the Gratitude Challenge.

  1. List five Blessings in your journal, explaining why you are grateful for each one.
  2. Count your Blessings off on your fingers, summoning positive emotion and saying Thank You from your heart for each one.
  3. Take yesterday’s picture or name from underneath your Gratitude Rock. Hold it in your hands and say Thank You for all the help you have given me. I trust that the Universe supports me in every way. Really feel that energy and gratitude in your own heart.
  4. Now think of something where you need help. Write your request on a piece of paper like this: Universe, I am now open to receiving help with ___________ Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Place your request under your Gratitude Rock.
  5. Tonight before you go to sleep, hold your Gratitude Rock and affirm I am richly Blessed. I have an Abundance of Good in my life. Visualise one thing you have been grateful for today. Swell that positive energy up in your heart like a beautiful golden light, and give a heart-felt Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to the Universe, then imagine a tiny shower of golden light travelling from your heart into your Gratitude Rock.
  6. Still holding your Gratitude Rock, bless your fellow travellers on this Gratitude Journey by sending them golden light, and saying Thank you.  I Bless You.  I intend for you Love, Miracles and Abundance. Know that as you are saying this for them, they are also saying this for you. Feel that connection and gratitude and know that there is real love and support for you here. Place your rock back beside your bed, and go to sleep, cocooned in this good energy.

If all you do today is these six steps, know that is enough.

Our Daily Gratitude Challenge

Today I’ve prepared a short guided meditation for you, to really allow you to connect to the Abundance and Blessings of our Universe. All you need to do is take ten minutes, sit back and relax, and let the words open you to new possibilities.

Nicole Cody’s Guided Meditation for Abundance and Blessings

Trust in a Universe that is benevolent and kind.  Trust that dreams can can true. Trust that the future is brighter than anything you could have ever imagined for yourself.  And know that right here, today, your life is Blessed with an Abundance of Good.

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Nicole, what a beautiful meditation! I’ll be listening to this again before I go to bed tonight, thank you! I didn’t realize I’d fallen so far behind, so will print out the rest of them so I can get back on track again. Oh, and I just LOVE Winnie the Pooh! Just delightful! ~ Love and hugs from Julie xoxox

  2. Oh Nicole! I listened to your lovely and powerful meditation, and made some smart decisions afterwards!! I’ve been battling binge-eating for a while now, and today I wanted to have a really big irresponsible dinner, but decided to meditate first and I chose to eat healthily and enjoy my food. I think I will be listening to your guided meditation often. Thanks a lot for this life-changing challenge :D.

  3. I’m exhausted, today… but a very grateful exhausted! I’ll be listening to your guided meditation before I go to sleep, Nicole, which should be very soon, now, as it is nearing 11:00 pm and I don’t intend to stay up late (yeah, right… good intentions… we’ll see, lol).

So here’s my blog post for Day 10… where I talk about being grateful for a Lazybones Package:

Peace & Love & Dreams Come True
    Lazy Mudd

  4. Oops…posted this on Day 8 by accident (Ergh!)…so here it is again… :0)

This challenge came at just the right time for me, thanks Nicole. (And thanks to Lorna @ tearoomdelights for including it in one of her posts, otherwise I wouldn’t have known about it.) I’ve been going through an avalanche of changes in my life these past several months–nothing “bad” per se, but quite overwhelming, nevertheless. What a blessing it is to remember the utter power of gratitutde. I can feel my focus shifting already and, as my husband puts it, I seem to be getting my mojo back. You’re all in my prayers every day, my fellow pilgrims. Onward and upward! –Lucinda xoxo

  5. I’m building up quite a collection of Nicole Cody meditations! This is another cracker, thank you. It’s interesting how certain things have more of an impact than others, depending on where you are in life at the time. Towards the end of your meditation, I really felt some of the affirmations quite strongly, whereas others didn’t seem to impact in the same way. I think there are times when we feel we don’t deserve certain things, or feel despondent about them, and so we can’t embrace them as we’d like to. I’m going to try your meditation again later today and see if I can manage to feel those things I was perhaps not letting myself feel first time round. I’m amazed that we’re already a third of the way through by the way, you’re doing an amazing job of keeping us all motivated and encouraged, thank you.

  6. I posted this Winnie the Pooh picture to my daughter’s wall last night, and to my sister’s wall this morning before reading your blog. It means a lot to me…as does your beautiful gift. Thanks, Nicole <3

  7. Nicole you always seem to bring to me that which I need, exactly when I need it. After having a huge meltdown regarding my finances, I listened to your meditation. It brought me the energy I need to feel confident about my abundance, that all I need will be brought to me, in the perfect way and time – thank you once again for your help – Blessings to you…

  8. Hi Nicole thank you for the beautiful meditation anf for your love support and friendship. This is a wonderful patyu to be sharing with you and so many around the world. It is such an empowering expereience and my heart is singing today Namaste xxoo
