“For things to change, you have to change.”
~ Jim Rohn, The Art of Exceptional Living

There’s change in the air. We’re finally shifting away from those old energies, those old patterns, and into the beginnings of a new space.

Change is always a little chaotic, and it can be unsettling and uncomfortable. But change also gives us our best shot at growth and at creating lives that are more satisfying and meaningful.

Today, we’re going to welcome the energy of change into our lives. We’re going to invite it in, and then dance with that energy.

Are you ready?

Over the next eight weeks we will work together to embrace this change, and to make it work for us. I’ve designed this program so that as you work with positive change you begin to anchor it into your lives.

Let’s start with our Embracing Change Toolkit.

1) Take out your large journal (or the electronic device of your choice!). On a clean page write the following:

Dear Universe,

All of my life I have wanted to move in this new direction. I have felt it calling me, I have felt it just beyond my reach, although I have not always been able to clearly define that place or what it might mean for me.

I have always known that I was destined for more – being more, loving more, sharing more, having more.

Although I am uncertain, although I still cannot name all the changes I desire, my heart is open to them if they be for my Highest Good.

Today I honour my yearning for change, and I offer it up to you, trusting that I will be guided to discover the next steps, that I will be drawn to inspiration and opportunity, and that I can create a life for myself which is more expansive, more aligned to my purpose, more in flow.

My commitment to you is that for the next 8 weeks (and beyond) I am willing to explore and open to the possibilities of change, and to celebrate the many Blessings I already enjoy.

With love and gratitude,

This large journal is where we will do all of our musing, exploring and pondering. It’s also where we’ll write our homework answers, and place our inspired thoughts and ideas.

2) Now take your small journal (or electronic device). On a clean page write:

This Blessings Book is the property of

_____________________________________

(insert your own name here)

Each day, write down three blessings in your life – three simple things that you are grateful for. The Blessing can be anything for which you are thankful.  It can be a big thing or a small thing, it can be from the present or the past, but you must be sincere in having gratitude for this thing in your life. You can do this at any time during the day, but do it every day! Try to come up with new things each day. The more you look, the easier this gets.

Write them like this: Today I am thankful for (the blessing) because (write down a simple reason). eg: Today I am grateful for my dog because he always gives me so much love.

When we count our Blessings we are inviting positive energy into our lives and putting ourselves into a receptive and abundant state of mind.

3) Using your eight little rocks: (PS: Don’t you love these little heart-shaped rocks that were given to me by my beautiful friend Nerida!)

2013-08-11 10.49.20

Select your first rock as an Affirmation Stone. This week you can carry it around with you, or place it somewhere where you can see and hold it every day. Each week the process will be the same, but using a different stone.

Pick your first rock and hold it in your hands. Now think of something in your life that you want to change. Affirm that as a statement of declaration to the Universe.

Here are some examples:

I choose Health.

I choose to have Boundless Energy.

I choose Abundance.

I choose Positive Cash Flow.

I choose to be Loved.

Each day hold that stone in your hands and repeat your declaration, out loud, or in your mind. You can do this just once, or as many times as you like. Say your declaration with enthusiasm and commitment. This simple act of declaration begins to align you with this energy, opening you to more of this thing in your life.

4) Working with your Gratitude Rock:

The Gratitude Rock anchors positive energy and gratitude at the end of every day.  You can carry your stone with you, or leave it beside your bed.  At night, before you go to sleep, hold your Gratitude Rock in your hand.

As you hold the stone say to yourself I am richly Blessed. I have an Abundance of Good in my life.  Then hold in your mind one or more image of a thing you have been grateful for today.  It doesn’t matter if your review your Blessings from your Blessing Book, or add in something new.  Swell that positive energy up in your heart like a beautiful golden light, and give a heart-felt Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to the Universe. Visualise a tiny shower of golden light travelling from your heart into your Gratitude Rock.

Now here’s the fun bit – imagine all of the other people who are taking part in this Positive Change Program with us – people from all over the world, just like you. Once again build up a strong positive energy in your heart, and then imagine shooting a stream of golden light out into the Universe to those people.

Say Thank you.  I Bless You.  I intend for you Positive Change, Love, Miracles and Abundance. Know that as you are saying this for them, they are also saying this for you. Feel that connection and gratitude and know that there is real love and support for you here. Place your rock back beside your bed, and go to sleep, cocooned in this good energy.

5) Homework

Change works best through action! To complete this Program allow a window of thirty minutes each week to complete your homework, plus five minutes at the beginning or end of every day. That will give you time to work on any activities I set you, to record your three daily Blessings, and to use your Gratitude Rock and Affirmation Stone.

This week, explore these questions in your journal. Don’t over-think it. Just let the words flow onto the page. Write as little or as much as feels right.

I need change in my life right now because:

One thing I would change about my health is _______ because ______:

One thing I would change about my work is ______ because ______:

One thing I would change about my personal life is ______ because ______:

One thing I would change about my thinking is ______ because ______:

One thing I’m really stuck on is:

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.
