Unplugging for the Super Moon

“Sometimes I feel like if you just watch things, just sit still and let the world exist in front of you – sometimes I swear that just for a second time freezes and the world pauses in its tilt. Just for a second. And if you somehow found a way to live in that second, then you would live forever.”
~ Lauren Oliver, Pandemonium

Last night the pull of the moon was strong in my heart.

There were so many opportunities for me to be with others, and to be out in the world, but with the moon bright in the sky, and the scent of red dust and the memories of my old Aboriginal Aunties at the forefront of my mind, all I wanted to do was unplug from the world for a while, rug up and watch the night sky, and then turn in for some meditation and an early bedtime.

There is much to be said for the restorative power of the moon.

And of meditation.

And of sleep.

I’ve woken refreshed and peaceful in my skin today. Loved up and ready for the world again. And oh, how I flew the bright skies last night. Oh, how I flew…

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. The moon was old gold and very full the night before last . It was the night I did your wonderful meditation , with the crystal etc … I felt deeply moved by the whole experience ..It almost felt like I was together with my mum again .
Yesterday we were clearing out the shed, my husband found an old torch of my dads , and it worked …it felt like the sign I’ve been waiting for …together the showing me a light a passage . Weird I know but it felt good to me and isn’t that what is important .

  2. Yes, wow. Me too. Of all the things I could be doing last night, I chose meditation and an early night. Strangely, as I readied myself for meditation, a group of Aboriginal people came and sat with me in circle. They wanted to help me with an energy issue I have around my house. It was very unusual for me to work with Aboriginal energy. And as for your quote (wow) I was just preparing a seven part Inspiration series, beginning with Eckhart Tolle’s Power of Now. One of the things he talks about that has made a huge difference in my life is putting space between the perception and your thoughts about that perception. That space is a doorway to the Divine. Awesome huh?

    1. yep….yep….I meditated whilst knitting, dozing and finally to bed early…and time alone is so precious I know…now off to the beach, with my chair, hat & knitting to watch the whale show in the bay! Happy Sunday sweetheart…and Mr.Cody too!
