“Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb.”
~ Winston S. Churchill

In the end, it went well with my lyme doctors yesterday.

Thanks to everyone who sent me well wishes and support. It means so much to me. 🙂

Here’s the good news. I AM stronger. My organs are functioning better. My brain is working better. My heart health continues to improve. My immune system and hormonal systems are slowly coming back to life. Some are still not looking great, but overall my upward trend is clear.

I was close to dying when I finally began treatment, and there is much collateral damage done after thirty years of undiagnosed lyme disease. It’s still a long road, my doctors stressed. But they stressed this as they smiled and talked about how far I’ve come and what my next treatment steps will be.

We’re giving my body a rest from treating lyme and co-infections now. Instead we are rebuilding. Strengthening my body’s natural functions and defences. Rebalancing and creating a healing space. Improving all of my detox pathways.

There will be time in the future for more aggressive lyme treatment, but not now.

And when that time comes I will be stronger still. My body will cope better. It won’t need to be so brutal.

One way or another, I am winning this fight.

Slower than I would have liked (I’m in a hurry to get my health back. Wouldn’t you be?), but I’ll take slow progress over no progress any day.

I have my eyes firmly focused on the road ahead. No looking back for me.

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Life is good, life is sweet. . .may all of you be nurtured and healed in right timing for the process and with loads of extra love to support along the way. Slow walks in the orchard to restore you, chai tea to warm the bones, home as safe harbor. . .each a lovely path to healing. I celebrate you. I’m so happy.

  2. Hooray! No stopping this wonder woman! Spend more time on the farm and with your aboriginal aunts. Now is the time for healing, for returning to nature…for returning to YOUR nature.

  3. Hip hip hooray …been thinking about you Nicole . You have given me the tools in my tool box to look after myself , I never go anywhere without them . Now please get that toolbox of yours and cling tightly on to it . Look after yourself Nicole . Sending heaps of love over the water .

  4. Peace, love and light Nicole. I am so very happy to hear of your progress. I’ve prayed for your health many times, not saying my prayers were the solution, but I will give thanks now that you’d heard that your tests reflect your feelings-that you are indeed healing. Enjoy the break from Lyme treatment. I’ve been off treatment for about two years now, I’m 6 months pregnant, and feeling like a completely new person. Wishing you continued health and happiness.

  5. Such fortunate tidings… “Yes” , is the word I believe for progress, … So then ,Yes! You will get better… We are all counting on it. Lots of Love….

  6. Yay!!!! Wonder Woman wins again!!! So glad you are winning the battle! Here’s to a brighter and brighter road ahead ! much love to you Nicole. <3

  7. Dearest Nicole, the seas have calmed a little for you and I send you lots of love and strength to draw upon for the journey ahead. As you have navigated the stormy seas you have constantly provided a beacon of hope, love and direction for everyone else through your amazing insight and writings. Your ability to transcend your own personal extreme pain and be a guiding light for others, is a direct reflection of the beautiful human being that you are.
On this cold winter morning I offer you a warm and loving hug. Blessings to you always. Doone

  8. Oh Nicole! This is such good news!! I am truly so happy for you! When I first discovered your blog back in 2012, I believe you were just starting your treatments or at least your treatments were really hitting you hard. Your eye wasn’t working, you would be down for days….you know…you were living it! At that time I was towards the end of my own year long battle with cancer, and had just lost my mother. I was waiting on tests to find out if I also had thyroid cancer as well as brain cancer (I had neither) You are such a realistic, down to earth, woo woo woman that has so inspired me as I follow along your journey. Your humanness is beautiful. I was so happy for you when you DROVE. Thinking of you with a big grin on my face and so happy that you have the energy to have all light talks with your husband, be able to help tend the escaping cows, and most importantly, be able to do what you love to do. Write, be a healer and a guide (not a guru) …and all that other awesome beautiful woo woo stuff that you do. 🙂 cheers to you!!!!!

  9. Hi Nicole,I’ve been following your post for awhile and today’s email immediately brought to mind an essence producing company:  Perelandra (in Virginia, US).  Given that you work with flower essences, you may have already heard of them, although flower essences are only one part of what Machaelle Small Wright, founder, ‘produces’ there.  She works as a co-creative partner with Nature, to create a perfectly balanced garden that is in complete harmony, which many of the products are made from, or at least the environment they are made in.  Not to mention the co-creative processes, the latest one being PIC, a virtual re-vamp of much of her previous work, and much simpler.  And, oh, so much more…… Perelandra came into my mind as perhaps offering you some further choices in your healing journey now that go beyond the physical dimension, yet work with the human body – also animals, plants, and “soil-less gardens”. For example:   ETS+ for Humans, EoP, the MBP (microbial balancing) solutions, etc.  You can easily get in depth information from their website.  Hope this might be helpful or of interest. Infinite blessings and Love and Light on your journey towards full recovery and radiance.  You already have brought so much healing and beauty and joy to the planet. Namaste,Sharon
