We’re nearly at magical 2 Million!

“Sometimes the most scenic roads in life are the detours you didn’t mean to take.”
~ Angela N. Blount, Once Upon an Ever After

When I first started blogging, on December 11, 2011, I didn’t expect that anyone would read what I might post.

Cauldrons and Cupcakes was an experiment. An online journal in the true sense of the phrase ‘web log’. I’ve kept a journal since I was a small girl, and it seemed a natural extension to then create one using technology rather than a book and pencil.

Every day that I write a new entry, I sit in meditation for a moment, and then in prayer, and then I hold my community in my heart and ask ‘What do my readers most need to know right now? How can I best support them?’ Those simple questions have led to all manner of posts, some of which have taken me by surprise as much it might you.

My blog has evolved into this crazy kind of living memoir. My farm and my doggy family and my cows and my psychicness (LOL – awesome english, Nic!), my philosophy, the inside of my head and all those heapingly tender vulnerabilities, a snippet of my metaphysical and self-development teachings, simple recipes and my journey with lyme disease.

It’s a strange combination, I know. But it’s how I roll. My life is made up of the very ordinary, the ordinary made magical through love and gratitude, and the other kind of ordinary – the things that are commonplace for me as a psychic and channel.

As we edge towards the magical two million views mark, my sister has been constantly asking me if I’m going to have a party to celebrate (I love you, Simone!). And I think I will. A proper one, with cupcakes and gumboot dancing and pots of tea in the garden.

Of course there will also be presents. I’ve decided to put together a little gift pack that represents the themes of my blog. Won’t that be a crazy, joyful combo! And then, of course, I shall give that gift pack away to someone here in my beautiful community, to say Thank You for your love and support. More details on that in the next few days. 🙂

In the meantime, I’d love your feedback. Is there anything you’d like me to write about? Anything you’d like more of? Anything you’re just dying to know?

Because I’m here for you.

Thank you for being part of my life. Thank you for supporting me and my funny little blog.

Nicole <3 xoxo

My first ever selfie, taken in the garden. Later that day I learned to look at my arm as I snapped the shot. LOL!

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Congratulations…you have given so much to so many people, not just by your blog, the variety of ideas and support, but also by just being your amazing self. I look forward to reading each day, miss you when you need time out and relish the information you share. There are times when I think you must have read my thoughts, for what you post that day is so very relevant to my life at the time. Your courage and determination a wonderful example to us all. Much love and gratitude to you.

  2. Congratulations Nicole! There isn’t much I can add to what has already been said. I agree with everybody! I love the mix! I would also like info on faeries, aura’s, look forward to more auntie stories, and just reading about the cafe dog and nurse Burt. I do utilize your guided meditations, so maybe some more? One day I would love to get to Australia and do a retreat. In the meantime, I will just look forward to your next blog…..and perhaps soon, your book!

    1. You’d be so welcome at one of our retreats. Book? Fingers crossed for soon. Guided meditations? There will be some new ones with this next journal challenge I’m starting on Sunday, so stay tuned! Much love, Nicole xx

  3. Congratulations!!! I was just introduced to you through a group I belong to The Mojo’s Lab Inner Circle by Victoria Smith. I am excited to meet you and excited to be a part of the new upcoming 30 day challenge. (I’m not sure if I signed up correctly, I don’t want to miss out on this) I am new to blogging and reading your blog is so inspiring. Blessings.

    1. Hi Masha! Welcome. 🙂 Thanks so much for joining us. If you hit the ‘subscribe’ button on the home page my posts will come straight to your email inbox. So glad that you can make it. Much love, Nicole xx

  4. Dear Nicole – congratulations on all the Light you are spreading around the planet! I love reading your random thoughts and observations. There is so much magic and beauty in the mundane! Your blog makes me pause for a few minutes to just look around and breathe in the amazingness of this beautiful planet. It’s always perfectly timed, and exactly what I need to hear! I especially love your descriptions of nature and the farm. I can always seem to smell the rain, hear the whisper of the wind, and feel the kiss of sunshine on my skin. It’s very grounding. I love thinking about the possums visiting your roof, the cows and their babies, your trips with Ben and cafe dog for some delicious treats, a cozy fire and a pot of tea, and Harry and Bert! I also love your oracle posts. And I love how you gently remind us that regardless of the circumstances we find ourselves in, we ALWAYS have a choice in how we perceive life. You are truly a wise old soul – thank you for sharing the journey with us. Here’s looking forward to the next 2,000,000 views!

    1. Gee, Kat! Thanks so much. 🙂 I’m so happy to have you with me as I wander the farm, drink coffee out with our Cafe Dog, or give Nurse Bert an extra big cuddle. I’m grateful that you’re here, sharing the journey. Love and hugs xx

  5. What a special Lady you are Nicole! How I wish I could meet you and give you back one of the hugs you are always giving us. I see the 2 million becoming 3 as time goes by. What would I like to see more of? Anything you care to share – we love your blog as it is. May you continue to defeat your illness and shine your very bright light in all our lives.
Sending love and crystal sparkles, XXX

  6. Hello Nicole …… I’m new to your family of bloggers …. I came upon your blog by accident about a month ago ……. And have not put it down since…. Yes keep writing and much of the same…. I love it….. Daisy…….

  7. There is something magical and real about you at the same time. I personally love your posts because you are a wonderful voice of reason – an anchor point when the world starts spinning crazily out of control. That anchor is LOVE – and sometimes I really wonder how you can possibly embody so much of it – I guess thats why you appear to shine – it kinda radiates from you – flows through your words.

I have always been fascinated by the way you see auras and translate them into an amazing story of someone’s journey. If I were to put in my request it would be to hear more about that. xxxx

    1. Hearing about auras? Sure, I can do that. How do I embody LOVE? That’s easy. We’re all cut from the same cloth. The energy that flows through me flows also through you. To love myself, I must therefore also have love for you, because we are all connected. All one. And having known so much suffering, it has truly broken me open somehow, to be a better, kinder and wiser version of my younger self. Because we all walk a hard road. I don’t want anyone to feel alone in that journey, because it’s a damaging illusion. Love and big hugs to you, Luisa xx

  8. I love reading your blog. Every time a a new message pops up in my e-mail I look forward to reading it. Thank you for sharing your life with us all, you’re a huge inspiration. If you’re willing to write about it, I’d love to know more about fairies and dragons. Resources on them are a bit sparser than angels and crystals. Love, light and blessings to you xxxx

    1. Fairies and Dragons? You must have been listening in at our last retreat! I’ll see what I can rustle up for you, Heather. Thanks for the suggestions. Love, light and blessings to you too xx

  10. Two million posts is beyond my wildest imagination. CONGRATULATIONS !!!! How many years does it take to do two million?? I’ll have to calculate that. Then there are all the comments to read and respond to! My word, how do you do it all?? I’m pretty new here but everyone has already said it so well. I’ll let more experienced heads prevail. I’ve loved everything I’ve read so far and hopefully will get more of the back posts read soon. i love your selfie. 🙂 You’ve hidden the jamies quite well. 🙂

    1. Imagine how amazing the world could be if comfy jamies prevailed. LOL How do I do it all? Oh dear, once you’ve read with me a while longer you’ll know there are times when I DON’T. Life is gloriously messy, and even the best-made plans go awry. It still makes me shake my head in wonder. What a funny thing, this journey is. And I’ll tell you a secret. This psychic’s top post ever is my Nana’s curried sausages recipe. That makes me feel gloriously, naughtily happy. Go, Nana! Go, me! Thanks for being here. (((HUGS))) xx

    2. Hugs right back at you in my jamies. 🙂 I’ll have to find that recipe though I’m not much of a cook. I often joke that the only reason I have a kitchen is because it came with the house. I’d turn it into an extension of my library if I could.. Yes, life is messy and oh so interesting. 🙂

  11. Congrats deary!!!! You deserve to celebrate this milestone, you showed yourself and all of us the patience and heart through this time. So have fun and rejoice on behalf of all your sisters. And coming to what we want to know , your always on time at our time of doubt and need.Thank you from my heart. : )

  12. Wow that is bloody great, I don’t think anyone who starts a blog has any idea where it will go most of us don’t think anyone will read their blog posts and we are surprised when we discover other people like what we read

  13. Congrats Nicole! And I love it all! & I too would look forward to posts on the moons. Thank you with much gratitude for all that you do and share with us! And yes!!!! a party with cupcakes & tea mixed in with gumboot dancing is definitely a top priority in my eyes! Keep blessing us with your magic!

  14. Nearly 2 million people following Cauldrons and Cupcakes is amazing! I would like to say Thank You for sharing the fun times, sad times, very personal journey that is Nicole Cody. I was blessed that my sister in law follows you and through her have been able to also follow your daily journey. I laugh, cry, smile and pray depending on your day but definitely grateful to be able to share your journey and look forward to each and every blog. Don’t change anything your blog is perfect as it is. Much love Kerrie xx

  15. Congratulations Nicole!! I just love your posts, no matter what they are. For me, waking up to the wonder of “What’s Nicole written about today?” is wrapped up in anticipation (in your language, doing a little gumboot dancing in my heart!!) and if you haven’t, I say a silent prayer for you knowing that things in your world are not as you would have liked your day to unfold. I love your truth where you don’t gloss and make yourself out to be one of the perfect gurus, or Spiritual Goddesses who glitter with crystals and clothes that shout, “Look at me, I’m SPIRITUAL!!!” I can’t even express my gratitude in enough words to thank you for your insights, giggles, teachings and snippets of your personal life. Nothing happens by accident, so the day I found your blog, what a blessing! If I was to ask for something I wish to know, it would be how do you plan for the year ahead and what does that involve? Thanks so much Nicole for everything. You lift the hearts and vibrations of many which filter out wider than your two million community. xx

    1. Oh, that’s a great one, Joyce. I’ll be so happy to share information on that. If it wasn’t for forward planning I’d be sunk years ago. 🙂 And as to being a perfect guru, if I had to wear bling and crystals and shout out ‘look at me – I’m a Spiritual Goddess’ I’d run a mile. If I could even walk, for laughing! Thanks so much for being part of our wonderful community (((HUGS))) xoxo

  16. I feel so honoured and deighted to one of the 2 mill Nicole. Your blog is one of my daily ‘Go To’s’ each morning and I can’t count the number of times it has moved me and changed me. Much love Nikki X

  17. Wow, 2 mill ! It is definitely an achievement worth celebrating. I ‘lost’ you for a few years when you were quite ill, and only happened upon your blog when I did a google search for you about 2 years ago. I was VERY happy to find you again!! I do love your Auntie stories – you have me on the edge of my seat…. Of course love all your writings regarding psychic happenings. Your writing is also very descriptive e.g. just recently you wrote about it being early in the morning with crisp air and the peace and quiet, which just took me to that space of peace, quiet and calm – beautiful. I also love the ambles around the farm as I love being in nature and birds… and feathers of course ! Love the Oracle readings, the journalling challenges… In other words it’s all good – keep on keeping on ! PS I would like you take a break on a weekend (when you are well) occasionally – although I love reading your blog – a little mini break every so often is good for YOU (and Ben) <3 <3 Much love, Cherie

  18. I love your blog – it is the first thing I check on my computer each morning. If you have posted that is great and if you are having a little break I always wish you well.
I love that you are doing your life purpose, as you are – you are not waiting to be perfect before you start – this inspires me.
I love the hard earned wisdom, the whimsical pictures and the grace that always comes from your pages. I love the realness, the vulnerability, the magic and the mystic – a winning combo.
    Definitely celebrate –
Celebrate that you were brave enough to listen to that little voice that said to give it a go. Celebrate that you rose above lyme in order to do it.
Celebrate that you have shared something great with others.
Celebrate the community you have created on your site.
Celebrate the good ripples you have sent forth into the world.
Celebrate life – you site is prof that you never know what gifts life may hold.
HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE !!!!!

    1. Sue! Wow. I am reading this feeling humbled and hopeful. Who ever could wait until they were perfect before they started? We’d be dead already and all that opportunity wasted. Thank you for being part of my precious and much loved community. (((HUGS))) xoxo

  19. Congratulations Nicole. Your blog is amazing and I love everything about it. It is always a joy to read and I save a lot of them so I can re read later. I love your auntie stories, your oracle gifts, your metaphysical teachings and health tips and I have appreciated having my eyes opened to Lyme disease. And it’s always a joy to hear cafe dog and nurse Bert. Thank you for all you do for us. Much love to you. 💕

  20. Congratulations Nic! I remember your first post after you started your blog where you announced “I blogged!” I laughed out loud! Been following ever since and love every sharing of your life, your gifts, your experiences, insights, memories, dreams, reflections and vulnerability. You are an inspiration to myself and many many others. Thank you for sharing with us all and thank God for you! Bless 💜💛💚💙

  21. Thank you for writing your “funny little blog”! Reading it every morning is a ritual I treasure. My dear friend onelittlestranger got me on to it and one day we are going to attend one of you retreats together. I love your psychic stories, your delicious, healthy (mostly!) recipes and the posts about wisdom – letting go, taking time for self-care, forgiveness, etc. Oh, and the journal challenges. I really love them! Keep shining your light through this beautiful window into your world xxx

  22. Congratulations Nicole. I love that you’re throwing a party to celebrate! Yours has always been my favourite blog in the whole world and still is. Always so captivating no matter what you post. I’m fact I feel like going back to the start and reading all the old posts again with fresh eyes!! I wish you many more years of joyful blogging xxx

  23. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I like the blog just fine the way it is. There’s a nice mix of healing, psychic stuff, recipes, motivation, etc. Congrats on 2 million! That’s incredible.

  24. You’re such an excellent scribe Nibabd Amazing teacher without whom I wouldn’t be able to strut my stuff. Yeah! I’m taking flight finally.
Is there anything in your bag of never ending advice to keep your mojo high and deflect criticism? I’d be super grateful and be unveiling. Myself very soon Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. Truly.
    Blessings. Susan 👼💗

  25. Congratulations Nicole!!! I stumbled upon your blog while doing a recipe search. And what a brilliant find it was!! I love your psychic stories, the aunties, your descriptions of your market visits (I smell the coffees and fresh food), the descriptions and pictures of your farm life. I just love it all!! But most of it I love it that it often contains a message at just that right moment 😊
What I would like to see in the future? More of the same…….. and mmmmmm maybe some guidance info on new moons? And how are things with your book? Hope it slowly but surely is coming along 😘❤️

    1. Hey Jem! My book is coming slowly. I am about to brave a rewrite of my memoir now I’ve figured out what’s important, and how to be brave enough to tell the really hard stuff. It has been good practice, all this blogging. Moons? I’m on it. Thanks for the feedback and support. (((HUGS))) xoxo

  26. Dearest Nicole

    Feedback, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Know what you share is perfect as it is, and share more of that.

I love the eclectic mix of experience you write about. It is so heartfelt, so inspiring, so encouraging and just so damn real, no need to mess with the recipe. It’s organic, ever evolving, full of the spirit of groundedness and the wings to fly. Thankyou.

I love how you always seem to know and share what it is I am dying to know, even when I didn’t know I was dying to know, no need to mess with the recipe. Your knowingness opens doors to secrets I didn’t know existed, stirs my own ancient knowingness into life, and paves the way forward into personally uncharted waters, all the while knowing I am not alone. Thankyou.

I love the daily anticipation of discovering what you have chosen to share. Your Invitation to always be more of who I am, just by sharing so candidly who you are, yes please more of that. Thankyou.

    Namaste & Nameh.

  27. Congratulations Nicole! So glad to be along for the ride. Re content, I always particularly enjoy reading about your past and present experiences with Auntie, that awakening time in your life and any psychic related topics. Keep doing what you do, you rock!!
