Fairy Magic!

“That’s the thing about magic; you’ve got to know it’s still here, all around us, or it just stays invisible for you.”
~ Charles de Lint

I have a special necklace that I often wear when I am working. It has a small rose-gold cross, a Phantom Good Mark (yep, truly – Ghost who walks and all that) that Ben had made for me, and a St Raphael medal (St Raphael is known as the healing angel).

When we came up to the city last week I accidentally left it behind at the farm after taking it off and leaving it beside my bed the night before we left home. How frustrating. I’d really wanted to wear it overseas.

So you can imagine my surprise when I opened my glasses case yesterday. I have two pairs of reading glasses that I only use when my eyes are playing up from Lyme. I keep one on my desk in Brisbane, and one at the farm. I haven’t used either pair for months but yesterday my vision was so bad that I needed them.

There was my necklace, hidden beneath my glasses! I should have known that might happen. Strange things like this are quite the regular occurrence in our household.

Thank you, Sokli.

Of course it was fairy magic.

How else could I explain it?

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. I am coming more and more to the realization that there are angels out there looking after me (or fairies, but I prefer angels) and quietly making things work out. Little surprises along the way encourage me to remain faithful that things will fall into place.
