I sometimes joke with my students that my oracle and tarot decks are all broken, because the cards I pull from them for myself so often have one message.
Rest.
Of course today I expected something different.
And I got this:
I’d be lying if I told you that I didn’t groan and roll my eyes…
I so wanted it to be a different message.
But I also know it’s the message I need.
There’s a difference between hearing and listening. When you hear, you have a momentary engagement, which quickly passes without making much of an impression. When you listen, you take the message on board and pay attention.
I’ve learned that when you ask the Universe, the message keeps coming up until you finally listen and apply the wisdom being presented to you.
I’m ready for a new card. But that won’t happen until I’m rested. Time for me to listen.

Your recent posts have been just brilliant – thanks so much for generously sharing a guideline for our own little retreats – just what I needed to help get me to slow down and ground myself with all that’s going on on every level, every where!
I’m glad to know your Retreat went so well for every one!
I read alot of tarot and oracle, and the cards that persistently pop up for me are “Courage” and “Healing” – doesn’t matter which deck, the messages are the same – Gotta Love Life!
So if I want another picture, I’ll have to wait until I continue with the courage to keep listening to my body, feel into my energy, as tiring as that can be sometimes, and keep re-calibrating…I didn’t have alot of patience with myself lately and when you took the time to include us in your latest healing experience, it really helped me focus.
So thank you so much again Nicole, and all the Best to You and Yours!

Yes, I to often get the same card! And think the same thing. But then I giggle to myself and say “OK, I get the message, I will starting listening more”
so funny! and reassuring that someone else experiences the same thing.
