Blowing Up Everything I Touch

“I am somewhat exhausted; I wonder how a battery feels when it pours electricity into a non-conductor?”
~ Arthur Conan Doyle

The past few days I have blown up almost everything I have touched.

It happens occasionally. I don’t know why. I reach out to turn on a light switch and the bulb explodes. I host a webinar and instead of looking normal on the screen I look like a cosmic green disco figure with energy waves radiating off me. All green. All cosmic. So unprofessional. After which energy spikes render my webinar recording useless. The technicians can’t tell me what went wrong. They haven’t ever seen anything like this before. My computers melt down. My phone screen freezes. Electric doors at shopping malls refuse to open for me, or else go haywire. Street lights blow when I walk beneath them.

It’s confronting. And messy. And embarrassing. And expensive.

‘Don’t touch that!’ my husband will yell at me. ‘Let me turn that on. You go and sit down in the corner. Read a book or something. Have a nap.’

It always goes away eventually, this strange accumulation and disbursement of energy. But until it does, I am a liability to all things electrical.

Has that ever happened to you?

My life is so odd sometimes…

Today I shall work with pen and paper, and drink tea, and wait for this to pass.

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Oh Nicole this has been happening to me for years, bulbs always blow and lights always flicker. I’m super sensitive to electricity and can tell when I pull into the driveway if the TV is on, kind of like a sixth sense. Can’t sleep if the lights or the wifi are on. With you in electric shocks 😉

  2. Ok there are times when being able to touch something and have it blow up would be appealing to me because I am a little strange and because at times the bitch next door annoys me and I would love to blow her car up to just make like difficult for her, yes I have a nasty streak that suffers from time to time.

  3. It happens to another good friend of mine. But I break things. My Man calls me “The Breaker of Things” and often tells me to stand down and he jumps in for me. I always listen to him, he often knows best. Enjoy your rest and being unplugged, go hug a tree, he won’t explode 🙂

  4. You’re ELECTRIC! (Boogie woogie, woogie) I’m sure it’s a build up of all that energy you attract. It’s good you’ve got your husband looking out for you and understanding that “these things happen”. Ironic – because you are a shining light. Take care.

  5. Hi Nicole,
I have done the same with light globes and electrical appliances for most of my life. I put it down to my psychic energy interacting with those things. But thank you for mentioning the electric doors at shopping malls😀 I am always relieved when someone walks through in front of me so they open! Otherwise 50% of the time I stand there – or jump up and down – haha – waiting for them to open. So good to know it isn’t just me! Xo

  6. Hey Nicole. I’d imagine that if you looked at transits or progressions to your natal chart, you’d probably find that you have some aspects to Uranus (electrical energy) or Mars (physical energy) …. or both, on those days. Not surprised that the electricity of the universe find its way through you!! xo

  7. Light globes, glasses, electrical distribution boxes. I’ve exploded them all. A sign to sit, withdraw, wait for it to pass. 🙂 Boring, but cheaper with less clean up.

  8. Yes I have this too 🙂 Makes life interesting and keeps you on your toes. Even when power is turned off I can get zapped, Closing car doors etc. other people often here the electric bolt and look around 🙂 I have learnt to have something between me and the switch/ door etc.Much Love <3 <3 <3

  9. Ah bigger so that’s why there is no webinar. I’ve been patiently checking every couple of days. Looks like you’ve got quite a few blog subjects for those of us who couldn’t do the webinar. Just a little advice – not too much writing – can’t have you getting RSI 😝 Xxx

  10. Oh My Gosh Nicole – no this kind of psychic phenomina has never happened to me. I can only imagine it feeling like a cross between Mr Magoo with his bumbling glasses and the bit where the Elven Queen holds the ring in Lord of The Rings.

  11. Though I did not have the experience as yours, but this year is the year I lost many things – little things fortunately – a most favourite scarf, a nice earphone, broke a long-used pot, etc. – such is life!
