Monday Oracle – 18 December 2017

“When we get impatient because something is taking too long, we should remember that Life waits on us a thousand times more than we wait on Life. – Laura Teresa Marquez

Hello, Lovelies!

December is a month for counting our blessings, filling ourselves with what nourishes us and speaks to our souls, and celebrating the relationships that make our lives worthwhile. You can read more about that hereKeep that in mind as we look at the gifts which the oracle card Impatience brings us.

So, what awareness does Impatience bring us this week?

Right now we are entering an interesting period. 2017 energies have swung away and 2018 energies don’t kick in until 14-16 January and then we’ll move into a year that is much more about simple living, and about relationships and love and family and friendship. But for now we’ve now entered an energetic period known as The LULL.

It’s a quiet resting space between two bigger more defined energies. It’s an energy that suits rest, play and time for yourself.

So that’s what is best for you to do.

Don’t feel in any rush to get started on anything. Take some time out to recover from the onslaught that has been the past few years. Let go of impatience and surrender to the slow down.

Create endings and thank-yous and gratitude for relationships shared this year. Make some space for everyone, including yourself.

Forgive yourself if the year didn’t pan out the way you’d intended, or if you found that you didn’t give things the effort and commitment you’d initially planned.

Let it all go, leaving room for the new.

We’re in the LULL now.

It’s a time for pause. For rest. For sitting back and relaxing.

It’s time for a break.

Put your work away. Go have some fun. Be with the ones you love. Dance, read books, meet for coffee, celebrate life. Dream a little.

It’s not a great time for study, work planning or ‘catching up’. Please, don’t even try. You won’t be missing out. There is nothing to be gained by going against the current energies.

There will be plenty of time to plan, act and make magic in 2018.

Supportive crystals this week?

Clear Quartz lifts your vibration and opens you to flow. A clear quartz cluster will be extra supportive for you and your loved ones this week!  Green Aventurine opens you out into possibility, tapping you into the joy of living and that wonderful feeling of gratitude. Larimar will help you to let go of guilt and move into relaxation and a sense of inner harmony.  Unakite opens your heart to love, and draws love, friendship and helpful people to you. It helps you to overcome feelings of isolation or loneliness and is a super meet-and-greet or party companion.

Helpful essential oils?

I’m loving Young Living’s Peace and Calming this week. It’s an oil blend I often use to promote calm and deep peace. It also helps me to sleep well after having had a stressful or particularly wired day. Nervous traveller? A few drops in a tissue or hanky or that you can breathe in, or rubbed into your temples will make your journey more peaceful.  Dab a drop on your Crown Chakra, over your heart, wrists and the soles of your feet, inhale directly or add to your diffuser. It is also beautiful when massaged into your feet before bed.

Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this week, but they’ll also make a delicious combination for diffusing. Frankincense will calm and connect us, promoting emotional balance, Lavender keeps us in flow and relaxed, Ylang Ylang opens our hearts and is supportive when we feel anxious or overwhelmed, and Orange brings calm, gratitude and optimism.  To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

The Lull is also a beautiful time for gently planning the year ahead as we reflect on what has been, and where we want to go next.

PS: Monday’s oracle card, ‘Impatience’, is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman. I use any cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book.

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Once again, so pleased with your readings and insight. I have purchased a YOM planner and started the pdf version. I have noticed that your technique is so original, personal, focused and centred on the individual. Similar to motivational interviewing, with so so much more. I have had a trying time this month, and your amazing guidance has pulled me through. I wish you and everyone in the community all the best for 2018.
