The Magical Healing Qualities of Being Home At The Farm

A quiet secluded life in the country, with the possibility of being useful to people to whom it is easy to do good, and who are not accustomed to have it done to them; then work which one hopes may be of some use; then rest, nature, books, music, love for one’s neighbor — such is my idea of happiness.

Hello, Lovelies.

This past couple of years I have spent much less time at home here at our farm than I would have liked. It was just what had to happen. We were busy looking after Ben’s mum, who still lived in the city.

I was unwell at times and needed to be near major hospitals.

And there have been times when I have needed better internet than the limited bandwidth and interminable buffering that is our farm connectivity.

But things are settling down, solutions are being put in place, and finally I can be home here at the farm and stay here for most of the time!

Here, I have time to slow down and be part of the community.

Here, I am surrounded by gardens, and green paddocks, and forests, and wild spaces, and big skies, hidden lakes, the ocean, rivers, and the cries of the black cockatoos.

Here, I can cook, and share food with the ones I love.

Here are my books and my crystals, my essential oils and my journals, and all of the simple things that make my little farmhouse feel like home.

It’s so very good to be home. I am filled with happiness, and I feel like you should be able to see the little sparks of joy that are shooting out from me in every direction.

Much love to you, Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.
