A Flock of Aunties

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hi, Lovelies.
I’m leading a Retreat right now. Retreats are always a time of self-work and life-work, mixed with a little magic and a few miracles.

Yesterday was one of those magical moments.

Just as we were heading to dinner a huge flock of black cockatoos flew overhead. I had never seen such a large group collected.

We all stopped to watch, and to listen to their calls. They flew directly above us, and circled the hall where we had been working. My skin was a mass of goosebumps.

Some of you will know that my Aboriginal Aunties come visit me as black cockatoos.

When I ran a channelling session for the group after dinner, Silith, an Ancient Elder Fairy, told us that the Aunties had sent all the cockatoos to remind us that these are calamitous times, and that now, more than ever, we need to look after each other and the Earth, and to be custodians of the land.

It was an incredibly moving session, and that message is important for all of us. Connect, care, look after each other, look after ourselves, look after the planet and everything upon it.

I’m sending so much love to you today, from the bushfire smoke-drenched hills of Byron Bay, Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.
