Hello, Lovelies!
The tradition of Boxing Day originates from the United Kingdom, and dates back hundreds of years. It was traditional that on the first workday after Christmas wealthy households would make up Christmas Boxes with gifts, money, leftover food and to acknowledge and reward service throughout the year. These boxes were distributed to staff, tradespeople, services and those leasing land or property from the household.
As we move towards 2020, and the fresh new energy it brings, I encourage you to make your own Christmas Box. It could be for a charity, a thrift shop, a friend or relative in need, or as a donation to a community group.
In this way you can begin to clear clutter, and to make room for new energies and opportunities to fill the spaces your create. It will also help you to realise the wealth and abundance that is already present in your life.
Over the week ahead take time to find some items to put into the box. These items should still hold value and use for others. If the items are soiled, damaged or outdated in a way that makes them unusable please put the items into the rubbish or recycling bin instead.
When the box is full, gift it forward or take it to a charity.
If you feel inclined, and enjoyed the process, start a new box. Keep going. Declutter during the months ahead until the things that surround you are things that have a real function in your life and/or that bring you meaning and joy.
