When Love Comes To Town

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”

Pablo Neruda

If I was to think of all the ways in which I have been blessed, one of the greatest is being married to Ben.

After so many years together he still gives me butterflies in my stomach. We miss each other stupidly when we are apart. And we never run out of things to talk about.

He makes me laugh every single day.

He gets me like no-one else does, and he’s been there for me in the hard times (oh boy, there have been too many of those) when everyone else had long ago disappeared.

So this morning I am hanging out with Ben. Truth be told I’m hanging out with Harry and Rufie too, cos it’s a family thing.

We’ve been apart too long, and now he’s here I only have eyes for my boys.

I know you’ll understand.

See you tomorrow,

Hugs, love and heart-flutters, Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.
