Not Blogging, Baking!

Hey, Lovelies.

It’s just the two of us here at home, and because we have been self-isolating Ben has been taking our baking into town to distribute any surplus of the recipes I’ve been trying because we’re not having visitors right now. We’ve always shared my cooking – savoury or sweet. I enjoy being able to brighten or ease someone’s day with a parcel of food.

So, I’m not blogging this morning because I am baking.

One of the workers in our little village has their birthday today. They dropped the hint to Ben when he was in town last week doing chores and delivering slices of Nola’s Ginger Date and Pear Cake with little tubs of Caramel Sauce.

I’ve had to start early, to have this ready in time for Ben’s trip to town. Anyone who tried to frost a hot cake will know what I mean.
