That Moment When I Gave Up And Put Myself To Bed

We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that works.

Douglas Adams

Hey, Lovelies.

Yesterday was one of those days.

Right in the middle of a client session, on a busy day, all the power in my office failed. Unbeknownst to me Ben had turned off an unrelated fuse in the fuse box, which somehow triggered the panel controlling my office (and our modem and wi-fi) to fail.

It couldn’t be reset. So I packed up my office and went to my Mum’s to work out of her spare bedroom while Ben called the electrician.

They fixed the problem, but when I came home last night to put my office back together, nothing worked. All the settings had been dropped on the modem, and the printer, and the wi-fi router.

Every time I tried to reinstall them they gave me error messages.

Everything the help desks told me to do just resulted in new error messages.

After three hours, I decided I could smash everything with a hammer, or go to bed and try again tomorrow.

Now it’s tomorrow.

Fingers crossed that I can make my tech play nicely. Wish me luck!
Love, hugs, and a serious supply of coffee, Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. I have learned that after 9 PM unless you are playing do not bother with Tech, just go to bed or read a real book. ~ Cyndi
