Being Present, Being Love – Monday Oracle 18 October 2021

The only calibration that counts is how much heart people invest, how much they ignore their fears of being hurt or caught out or humiliated.

And the only thing people regret is that they didn’t live boldly enough, that they didn’t invest enough heart, didn’t love enough.

Nothing else really counts at all.

Hello, Lovelies!

This Quarter I am using the Nature’s Whispers Oracle Cards by Angela Hartfield, with artwork by Josephine Wall, for my weekly oracle readings.

Our card to guide us for the week ahead is 43 – LOVE MATTERS. I know, you might be thinking that this is an obvious statement, and be ready to gloss over it. But let’s take some time and reassess that assumption.

LOVE MATTERS is actually a wake-up call. It’s a message that speaks to the very core of our being. This is our one precious life. And we can’t live that life to the best of our capacity if we are stuck in our heads, stuck in work, stuck in worry, stuck in a holding pattern, stuck in a rut.

What matters to you and your great big heart?

Is it your family? Your friends? A cause? A passion project? Is it being in nature? Surfing? Crafting? Creating?

Are you doing those things?

Are you making time for those people?

Love matters. And we show our love by being fully present with that which we love.

This week, give your complete attention to what you love, and in that moment your heart will fill with the deepest and most abiding satisfaction. Sparks of joy may also fly out of your eyes. At the very least, your heart will feel a little lighter, and beat a little stronger, and you’ll feel a little more restored to yourself.

My Top Tip For The Week Ahead:

Spend ten minutes with a person, a passion, a project. Just ten minutes, But BE THERE for those ten minutes. Not lost in your thoughts, not zoning out, not half-listening, not scrolling through your feed. Be present. Be completely in the moment. It’s a gift to yourself, as well as to a loved one. And it might just change your life.

Last week was my first week properly back at work, under my new conditions – which means not working like a maniac, no full days, and lots of rest breaks.

I made it, but gee, I got soooooo tired. My battery has some pep at the beginning of the day now, which is wonderful, but it doesn’t take much to diminish that charge.

Unlike every other time where I have pushed on, I made myself lie down frequently for small rests, and gave myself an early mark on days where I could have only kept going by gritting my teeth and pushing. It’s frustrating, because I have a big to-do list, but let’s face it – we all die with a full in-tray. The tasks and jobs and things that need doing never diminish. Even if we get to the bottom of the washing pile, the next day there is new dirty laundry. So, I’m working on pacing myself, and this week’s energies are great for that, so I’m looking forward to focusing my attention more carefully, and more mindfully.

Still, I am loving being back at my desk. I’m excited about our Christmas products that we’ll be launching to the public soon (we launch to our Inner Circle first!), and I’m also excited about being back in the kitchen, baking delicious treats, and cooking nurturing wholesome food – because these few months while I was unwell Ben did most of the catering, and his repertoire is not quite as extensive as mine.

I’ve been remembering what it was like to almost die ( a few years ago), and how as I faced up to what we thought might be my last day I had three regrets – I wished I’d spent more time with my husband – proper time of being together, deeply connected and soaking up those precious moments, I wished I had been able to create healing in some significant relationships where I knew there was still love but where we had reached an impasse, and I wished I had written and finished my books.

I want to assure you that these things are a daily priority now, above all else. It’s made a big difference to my wellbeing and my mental health.

The other good news is that I can see myself improving, day by day. And I’m just so grateful to be fully vaccinated, as Australia begins to open up again.

So, that’s my weekly update.

I hope that you find some time for yourself and the things and people that matter to you this week, so that you can get to the end of this life without major regrets. All of our power is always and only ever in this moment. Make each one count. And remember, your heart knows. Your intuition knows. Trust that you can find your way forward to a more meaningful and contented life, no matter what your current circumstances.
Love, hugs, and serious amounts of crack (recipe coming soon!), Nicole xx
