No Post Today Because Supporting A Friend

It’s so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone.

 John Steinbeck

Hey Lovelies,

I’m keeping this short. I am tired from having been on the phone supporting a friend for most of last night.

One of my dear friends lost her elderly Mum to COVID last night. My friend’s young adult daughter is currently also intubated in ICU with COVID. Both of them were double vaccinated, but with immune issues. My friend lost her ex-husband and the father of her child to COVID last year.
And on top of all of that, my friend is a doctor working on the frontline of emergency health care in America. Her whole world outside work was her mum and daughter.

If you work with my planner, you will know about Dr Michelle. She’s provided one of the quotes near the front of the book. Dr Michelle works in COVID wards, and in surgery, amputating limbs of COVID patients who have developed blood clots or sepsis. She has a hard job, and she has already lost so much.

I’m just devastated for her.

If it feels right, please send some love and positive energy her way.

Thank you.

Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Sending love & support. My thoughts are with her daughter. If it’s not too much to ask, could you let us know how she is going? Xx

  2. One’s losses cannot be compared to another, but am sending so much love and respect to your friend. I just spent the last few months in ICU and lost my husband of 32 years to Covid. While in there, I wrote a post on how to help these real hero’s who care for people going through the ravages of covid. I’ll share here and you can keep or delete. https://www.thelaughyouknow.com/a-gift-for-icu-dr-s-and-nurses/

    1. Sally, I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. I read your journey through your beautiful blog posts with tears in my eyes. Sending so much love to you 🙏💕

  3. This is heartbreaking. I think you’ve talked about this friend before and how hard she has been working and also worrying about her family. I’m sending her so much love and light and strength. And you as well, Nicole.

  4. So hard for all our health professionals now. They are tired, and burning out.sending love and support to your friend, and all those people who are doing their best to keep us safe and well.❤

  5. My heart goes out to Michele – after hearing her on a podcast 18 months ago, and then reading her book, I know what an incredibly caring Soul she is. Her losses seem too much for one person in such a short space of time. May Michele be sustained by your love and compassion, Nicole, and by those in our community.

    🙏🙏❤️❤️🤗🤗😇😇🙏🙏
