When Rats Attack!

Chaos is roving through the system and able to undo, at any point, the best laid plans.

Hey, Lovelies!

Thanks for all the well-wishes for Ben’s birthday celelbrations.

Which didn’t quite go to plan…

We had a massive internet failure yesterday, and needed to be home all day for the tech guys to sort it out (because I can’t run a business with no internet, and with no internet we also have zero phone coverage!).

Cause of our pain?
A rat nibbled through 2 feet of fiber internet cable.

It took the guys a while to pinpoint the issue, as the fault was away from our property. The chewed-through bit has now been patched, until that bit of the cable can be completely replaced.

Good news?
We managed a swim and drinks in the pool in the afternoon, and a lovely family dinner, so all was not lost.

Rats!

Anyway, onwards and upwards.

Love, and a deep sigh of relief as we return to normal functioning, Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Hah, Nicole! I’ve had rats as pets on and off since 1990. They are really smart and make wonderful pets! I know that they can be a nuisance, but they can’t help but chew. They must chew to keep their teeth short. I had a rat who I used to have to take to the veterinarian because his teeth weren’t aligned appropriately and would’ve continued to grow into his sweet little head! One of the vet techs was afraid to care for my rat! (She should’ve selected a different career!)

I’m sorry for your rattie woes, but don’t blame them. They gotta chew! šŸ˜ŠšŸ€šŸ’—
