After the longest night, tomorrow we sing up the dawn. There is a rejoicing that, even in the darkest time, the sun is not vanquished. As of tomorrow, the days begin to get longer as the light of day grows. While the gentle winter sun slowly opens its eyes, let us all bring more light and compassion into the world.

Hey, Lovelies.
Last night was the Winter Solstice here in Australia.
Back at the farm we would have lit a bonfire, but we live in a treehouse now, so I needed a different approach.
Early in the day I put a curry in the slow cooker. I gathered candles and cushions and rugs.
Then, at day’s end, we took comfy chairs out onto the deck by the pool, under the stars. We lit lanterns and candles and snuggled up for a chilly but beautiful outdoor picnic.
Bats flew overhead, owls called to each other from the trees, the bamboo rustled in the breeze and a few stars glinted in between breaks in the cloud.
It was cold, but oh so relaxing.
We celebrated life, and all of the everyday blessings for which we are grateful.
Then I did a healing meditation and sent you all some love and light.
I went to sleep with peace in my heart.
Today, we begin the slow cycle of the wheel back towards Summer.
It feels good to be in tune with the seasons, and the world around us.
Love, fallen leaves, wintery wind, and a little good chocolate, Nicole xx
Sounds wonderful
