Reading’s my reward at the end of the day!
~
Hey, Lovelies.
Are you a bit of a bookworm?
I am.
And like most bookworms I have a giant TBR pile.
For those of you not in the know, a TBR pile is a pile of To-Be-Read books.
I have two piles stacked up on my bedside table, and a couple of piles on the desk in my writing room, and then a couple of shelves in a couple of bookcases. So, yeah, my pile is big, and it never goes down much, because I am always adding to it.
I love my work, but being a psychic can be emotionally draining. Reading novels in bed at the end of the day is one of my favourite ways to wind down, and like Cheryl Strayed, it’s also my reward.
In the mornings? That’s when I read non-fiction. A minimum of ten pages before I start my day. It’s a way to be inspired, and to learn and grow.
I also have a list of audiobooks queued in my phone, ready for a spare moment. I love to listen to a book while I am cooking or cleaning. Or, when I’m wracked by pain, or stymied by insomnia, and I need a distraction. Audiobooks are a delicious way to pass the time.
How about you? What’s in your TBR pile? Is there any book or audiobook you’d like to recommend to the rest of us? I’m a hungry reader, and I’m always looking out for new finds!
Love, pages and a mug of something warm and good, Nicole xx
