My Charming Coffee Companion

“Coffee is real good when you drink it. It gives you time to think. It’s a lot more than just a drink. It’s something happening. Not as in hip, but like an event, a place to be, but not like a location, but like somewhere within yourself. It gives you time, but not actual hours or minutes, but a chance to be, like be yourself, and have a second cup.” ~ Gertrude Stein

This week was one of those weeks.

In the midst of it a good friend accompanied me while I had some medical tests and then she took me for coffee when we were done.

This delightful fellow found his way to our table and hung out for a while with us. Well, he hung out with the hope that my toasted sandwich might find its way into his mouth.

He didn’t really have eyes for us at all.

I guess it’s always good to know what you want and to keep your eye on the prize.

My charming companion’s visualisation of the moment that food might reach his lips was so good he could taste it. (And yes, I did share some sandwich with him.)

How about you? What are you focusing on right now? Are you thinking more about what you want or don’t want?

Think about something you really want to do, be or have. Think about yourself as if you already have it. Think how that will make you feel. How your life will be different. Feel that gratitude in your heart.

Make it so real you can taste it.

That’s how you call something into your life.

Sending you all my love, and my hopes that you spend a little time visualising this weekend. Make room for some magical manifestation in your life! Nicole   xx

A Message From Harry Dog!

“Sometime you just gotta get out of the house, breathe the clean morning air, run around like a mad thing, and bark at some waves.” ~ Harry the Cafe Dog

Hello! This is an action post, because this morning is an action morning. Everyone has been stuck in the house for days because of the rain and Mum has been working too hard so I had a plan to help. From just before 3.30am I began dropping my rope toy on sleeping humans. Just to encourage them.

Then while Mum was doing her 4am meditation I kept sitting in her lap and licking her face. To encourage her. And make her hurry up. Because the rain has gone.

So now we are at the beach, having a walk and a run around and saying hello to everyone for a social time before we go home to the farm to wake Bert up, because Bert HATES early wake-ups.

Good Morning Everyone! And Good Night to all the people who live on the rightside up of the world where everything is backwards to us.

Maybe if I’m lucky we’ll even get a sneaky cafe trip in after this! Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Morning Ever, since yesterday 🙂

Love Harry Dog xoxo

A Break In And A Hullabaloo

“Rule number one of farm life is that the cows get out or in to the wrong paddock at the most inconvenient time! You should know that by now, Nicole. Go put your boots on.” ~ Ben Phillips

There was a heck of a commotion outside our house gate this morning. Just as I was sitting down to write a very different blog post to this one. A mob of angry cow mothers were calling their recalcitrant young ‘uns who had slipped under the fence in the dead of night and who were busy feasting on my parsley, sweet peas and strawberry plants.

We’ve just finished mustering the seven naughty calves back out the side gate. It took over an hour because they kept scattering in all directions.

I mustered on foot, in pyjamas and boots.

Now I’m cold and muddy and I need a shower pronto!

But the babes are back with their mums and order is restored.

Time for a coffee date with Ben and Cafe Dog. 🙂
