“Some days, the greatest act of courage is allowing yourself to be cared for by your own kindness.”
Hello, Lovelies!
For this quarter, I’ll be working with This Might Hurt Tarot by Isabella Rotman – a bold, honest, and deeply compassionate deck that doesn’t shy away from truth, but holds it with warmth, humour, and a fierce belief in your ability to grow through whatever life is asking of you.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is the Queen of Swords – The Queen of Swords reminds us that wisdom is born through lived experience, and asks us to make clear, honest decisions that protect our peace, energy, and future.
2026 is a profoundly intuitive and creative year, encouraging adaptability, flexibility, and new beginnings that are both practical and sustainable.
June Energies
June invites you to become a safer, steadier place for yourself to live.
So many of us learned to survive by overriding our needs. By staying hypervigilant. By becoming useful, productive, accommodating, resilient, easy to manage, emotionally self-contained.
But survival is not the same thing as peace.
And eventually, the nervous system begins asking for something more sustainable.
This month turns your attention toward the relationship you have with yourself — especially the younger, more sensitive parts of you that may still be carrying fear, loneliness, exhaustion, or the ache of never quite feeling fully supported.
June asks:
What if you stopped speaking to yourself like an adversary?
What if your inner world became a place of refuge instead of criticism?
What if you offered yourself the kind of care, reassurance, protection, and encouragement you may have spent your whole life seeking elsewhere?
There is profound healing available in becoming a wiser, kinder custodian of your own life.
This month also invites your inner child back into the light.
Not merely the wounded child — though they deserve tenderness too — but the playful, imaginative, curious parts of you that may have gone quiet beneath responsibility, stress, and survival mode.
Paint something badly.
Dance in the kitchen.
Read for pleasure.
Lie in the grass.
Watch the clouds.
Laugh more.
Make soup.
Go slowly.
Let there be room in your life again for delight, silliness, creativity, beauty, affection, and rest.
June is deeply restorative energy.
It asks you to create a life your nervous system can soften inside.
This is the month to become someone your own soul can trust.
🌿This Week’s Guidance
The Queen of Swords reminds us that wisdom is born through lived experience, and asks us to make clear, honest decisions that protect our peace, energy, and future. This is a week for seeing things as they truly are – not through the lens of fear, wishful thinking, guilt, exhaustion, or old emotional conditioning, but with greater clarity, discernment, and self-respect.
The Queen of Swords has lived through enough life to understand what matters and what doesn’t, and because of that, this week may bring moments of deep honesty.
You may suddenly recognise:
👉 where your energy is leaking
👉 what feels unsustainable
👉 who or what continually drains you
👉 where your life has become unnecessarily complicated
👉 what needs simplifying, repairing, updating, or releasing
There is powerful energy this week for:
- planning
- reviewing your priorities
- organising your life
- making practical decisions
- creating healthier routines
- setting boundaries
- clearing clutter — mentally, emotionally, physically, and energetically
The Queen reminds us that clarity is an act of self-care.
Sometimes the kindest thing you can do for yourself is to stop pretending, to stop over-explaining, to stop negotiating with what you already know is hurting you, and to quietly choose differently.
📖Journaling Prompt
Where in my life do I already know what needs to change — and what would it look like to approach that change with wisdom, honesty, and self-respect?
🌟 Top Tip of the Week:
Choose one area of your life that feels cluttered, draining, or unnecessarily complicated and gently simplify it.
Cancel something.
Organise something.
Repair something.
Say no to something.
Small acts of clarity create enormous relief over time.

🌿A note from the Treehouse
Last week brought several important and confronting medical appointments for me, and I think my nervous system has decided that this week’s agenda should simply read:
more gentleness, please.
So that’s the plan.
A quieter week.
More rest.
More soul-soothing.
Less pressure.
It’s suddenly become properly cold here, and I’m loving the shift into Sunshine Coast winter. Crisp mornings. Bright clear days. Cold air moving through the trees. It feels clean somehow, like the whole world has taken a deep breath.
I can already tell this is going to be a week of soup pots simmering on the stove, thick socks, fresh ginger tea, and getting into bed embarrassingly early with a good book.
At the moment I’m reading Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir and absolutely loving it. There’s something deeply comforting about disappearing completely into a story for a while.
I’ve also missed my own writing.
After the emotional and physical intensity of the last little while, I’m hoping to gently find my way back into creative flow this week. Not through force or pressure — just by sitting down again, opening the document, and beginning where I am.
That feels like enough.
And in the spirit of June’s self-parenting energies, I’ve also been thinking about what brings my inner child genuine comfort and delight.
So there will be colouring in.
And at some point this week, I fully intend to take myself out for tea and toasted sandwiches — something my Nana used to do with me when I was little, and which felt impossibly special and cosy at the time.
Funny how healing can sometimes look like returning to very small, very tender things.
Outside, the trees are moving in the cold wind as I write this, Rufous is waiting for me to get up and give him a cuddle, and for the first time in a while, I feel less interested in pushing through and much more interested in caring for myself properly.
Honestly, I think that might be the medicine.
With love from the Treehouse,
Nicole xx

Hi Nicole. Thank you for this Monday morning message, read on Tuesday morning on the way into the office but after unexpectedly veering off for an unplanned breakfast with really nice coffee and an exquisite croissant. Everything I just read was written just for me!! I can’t tell you how much it resonated and also just miraculously is unfolding just as you say. Enjoy your soup, gentleness and most of all the tea and toasted sandwiches. I have been making them in the early morning for my two girls still at school. I hope they taste my love at lunchtime! I am so lucky to be part of your community of good people. Thank you☕️🌸💫
Biggest hugs to you, Simone xx
Thanks for this great post
