“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
— Howard Thurman
Hello, Lovelies!
For Quarter Three, I’ll be working with The Hero’s Journey Dream Oracle by Kelly Sullivan Walden, with artwork by Rassouli. I chose this beautiful deck because it feels like the perfect companion for our Pilgrimage to Self—a season of listening more deeply, trusting ourselves more fully, and remembering who we’ve always been beneath the noise of everyday life.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is Say Yes to Your Higher Calling—reminding us to stop searching for who we think we should be, and instead choose what lights us up and look for what’s golden for us. ✨💛
2026 is a profoundly intuitive and creative year, encouraging adaptability, flexibility, and new beginnings that are both practical and sustainable.
July’s theme is All the Feels, inviting us to soften, honour our sensitivity, trust our intuition, and allow ourselves to be moved by what genuinely matters. Rather than pushing ourselves towards someone else’s definition of success, this month asks us to become more fully ourselves.
Which makes this week’s card the perfect place to begin.
🌿This Week’s Guidance
This card is an invitation to be yourself.
Not the version of yourself that you think other people will approve of.
Not the version that chases validation or tries to meet everyone else’s expectations.
Just… you.
The question this card asks is beautifully simple.
What lights you up?
What feels golden for you?
What makes your heart lean forward with curiosity, delight or quiet excitement?
Those are the things worth paying attention to.
One of the biggest traps we can fall into is believing our gifts only matter if they earn us money, build a career, or impress other people.
But that’s simply not true.
Some of our greatest gifts are found in the way we love.
The way we encourage a friend.
The way we make people laugh.
The way we create a welcoming home.
The way we bake the world’s best apple pie or chocolate brownies.
The way we notice when someone needs kindness.
These things matter.
These things change lives.
Sometimes your highest calling isn’t something extraordinary.
Sometimes it’s simply becoming more completely yourself.
So this week, delight yourself.
Do something because it fills your heart, not because it earns applause.
Explore something that fascinates you, even if no one else understands why.
Say yes to the things that make you feel more alive.
Because this card isn’t asking you to become someone different.
It’s reminding you that you’re already enough.
Now it’s time to start living as though you believe it.
📖Journaling Prompt
Take a few quiet minutes with your journal and ask yourself:
- What did I love doing as a child?
- What have I always wanted to try?
- What lights me up?
- What have I been putting off because life got busy, or I convinced myself it wasn’t important?
Don’t censor yourself. Don’t worry about whether it’s practical, productive, or something you could ever make money from.
Just make your list. Then, before this week is over, choose one thing.
Not ten.
One.
And go and do it.
Book the class. Buy the paints. Walk the beach. Bake the brownies. Plant the herbs. Write the first page.
Life doesn’t change because we keep thinking about the things that light us up.
It changes when we make room for them.
🌟 Top Tip of the Week:
We waste so much time worrying about what other people might think.
Will they laugh if I dance? Will I look ridiculous? What if I’m terrible at it?
What if I look awful in my bathing suit?
Here’s the thing…
Most people are far too busy worrying about themselves to spend much time thinking about us.
So my Top Tip this week is simple.
Do it anyway.
Take the class. Wear the bathers. Dance. Sing. Plant the garden. Write the story. Learn the language.
Do the thing that lights you up.
I suspect you’ll discover two things.
First, hardly anyone was watching.
And second, you’ll be so glad you gave yourself permission to be happy.

🌿A note from the Treehouse
This week’s Oracle has had me thinking about the things that genuinely light me up—and how often they aren’t the big, dramatic moments at all.
Sometimes they’re wonderfully ordinary.
This past week my little writers’ group gathered here at the Treehouse, and once again I was reminded how important it is to find your people. There is something very special about sitting around a table with others who understand your dreams, encourage your work, and quietly cheer you on. We each arrived with our own projects, but we also brought curiosity, laughter and generosity. Those are precious things.
The weather has been kind to us too, so Ben and I have slipped into a gentle new rhythm. Each afternoon we’ve been walking along the beach before coming home for a quiet dinner together. No television. No rushing on to the next thing. Afterwards we’ve been heading to bed early with our books, and I’ve realised just how much my nervous system needed that simplicity.
I’ve also been running what I can only describe as a breakfast experiment.
Lately I’ve been so tired that breakfast had started to feel like just another chore. So I decided to make it something to look forward to instead. I’ve been creating overnight oat and protein pudding cups in all sorts of delicious flavours. They’re nourishing enough to support my health but somehow feel like dessert.
Honestly, it might be one of my better ideas.
It made me realise that delight doesn’t have to be extravagant. Sometimes it begins with asking, “How could I make this one small part of my day feel a little more joyful?”
We’re also about to conduct an experiment on Rufous.
He now has a giant herding ball waiting in the backyard. If you haven’t seen one before, imagine a ball bigger than the dog! We’re hoping it gives him a chance to reconnect with some of those wonderful working-dog instincts he misses from farm life. I suspect there will be much enthusiasm… and probably a little chaos.
I’ll report back.
As I look back over the week, I realise every one of these moments has something in common.
None of them happened because someone else suggested them.
They happened because they felt right for us.
Perhaps that’s exactly what this week’s Oracle is inviting us to remember.
The things that light us up are rarely the things the world tells us we should want.
They’re the quiet moments, the small pleasures and the simple joys that remind us who we really are.
I’m sending you lots of love from my Treehouse.
I hope you find something that lights you up this week, too.
Love, Nicole xx
