Journal Challenge Week 1 – Full Moon

“If you’re going to doubt something, doubt your limits.” ~ Don Ward

Welcome to Week One of our four week journaling challenge. There are some very favourable energies about right now to help us in connecting to our authentic selves, and from that place of truth we can then dream a new life, a new self, a new future into being.

This week we’ll be influenced by the Full Moon in Taurus. This beautiful moon is also known as the Earth Mother’s Moon. The Earth Mother Moon helps us to understand our life as an ecosystem, so that we can identify and give ourselves what we need to thrive in a balanced and sustainable way. It is a practical energy, a patient energy, and a kind energy. Sounds good, doesn’t it?

Because we’ll still be under the influence of the recent partial Solar Eclipse and the previous New Moon in Scorpio all this month, we need to work with these bigger energies too. The gift here is in seeking the truth, completing patterns from the past, and experiencing breakthroughs as we step into this new phase of our lives.

To do this we must be committed to becoming honest, vulnerable and exposed with ourselves. We must be brave enough to own our truth – not the one others ascribe to us, or the one we would like to choose for somewhere outside of ourselves – our truth just is, and we find it within our tender, wounded, doubting hearts.

This is a time for exploring and owning what has been repressed, forgotten or shoved to one side in our lives.

It’s a great time to facilitate a gathering awareness of our truth and a strengthening sense of wholeness for ourselves.

And wholeness gives us hope, strength, valor and inspiration.

Let’s Begin!

Choosing a Crystal

You may wish to choose a crystal to work with this week. It is entirely optional, and you’d be fine without one too – but for my fellow rock lovers, read on…

You can hold this crystal as you write or meditate, place it under your pillow or beside your bed while you sleep, or carry it in your pocket to help you stay focused.

You could choose your stone based on what most appeals to you. That’s a very valid approach. But if you need a little direction, good crystals to work with this week include:

  • Clear Quartz or Quartz with Inclusions or Phantoms
  • Aragonite
  • Carnelian
  • Bloodstone
  • Unakite
  • Tiger Eye
  • Petrified Wood
  • Smoky Quartz
  • Red Jasper

Here’s what I’ll be using – it’s a Tibetan Chlorite Phantom Quartz with window. Feel free to let us know what kind of crystal you choose by leaving a comment below or over at our facebook page.

Journal Dedication:

Begin the challenge by writing this dedication in the front of your journal, and then signing your name and date.

Dear Universe,

I yearn to create a life for myself that is richly fulfilling. I am open now to truly understanding what it is that I need in order to thrive, to grow, to shine.

I understand that I deserve to be happy, and I am prepared to sit in vulnerability and truth in order to clear the obstacles to my happiness.

I am ready to own the parts of myself that I have cast aside. I am ready to embrace my fullness, my wholeness, my true and complete soul truth.

I understand that I am destined for more – being more, loving more, sharing more, having more.

Although I am uncertain, although I still cannot name all the changes I desire, my heart is open to them if they be for my Highest Good.

Today I honour my desire and intention for positive change, and I offer it up to you, trusting that I will be guided to discover the next steps, that I will be drawn to inspiration and opportunity, and that I can create a life for myself which is more expansive, more aligned to my purpose, more in flow.

My commitment to you is that for the next 4 weeks (and beyond) I am willing to explore and open to the possibilities of change, and to celebrate the many Blessings I already enjoy.

With love and gratitude,

Week One Meditation:

We can’t think, or be in flow, if we are stressed and uptight. This week, before you begin to reflect on and journal your exploratory questions, take a minute or two to perform this simple meditation.

Belly Breathing Technique

Before you begin writing, sit or lie quietly. Place your crystal in one hand and then put that hand over your heart. Place your other hand on your belly.

Visualise a colour in your crystal, or if you are just using your hands, visualise a colour in the palm of your hand above your heart. Breathe in to activate your hands and let that colour expand, so that it links both of your hands. You’ll now have a glow of coloured energy sitting from your throat to your groin. That light is healing and energising. Don’t think about it too much. Just let it be there in the background. Close your eyes if it feels comfortable to do so.

Now take 6 deep breaths.

For each breath, when you inhale focus on your belly rising out further than your chest.

Take 6 long, slow and unforced breaths, gently allowing your hands to rise and fall with your chest and belly.

You’ll feel your body relax and unwind. You can stop after six breaths or do another cycle of six.

Now you’re ready to write!

Journal Questions:

You can choose any or all of the questions below. I suggest going with what resonates and repels for a good balance. Write as much or as little as you need. It could be three words or three pages. Spread it out over a week, or spend a solid hour or two over one day – it’s up to you! If you’re in flow, keep going and see where it takes you. Be ruthlessly honest. Be practical. No airy-fairy here please. We need tools we can work with.

If you’re using a crystal, hold it in your non-writing hand, or place it in your lap or pocket. Feel free to get yourself a beverage, or to sit in a coffee shop while you do this. Enjoy the process!

Know that this journal work will provide a platform for future planning, growth and self-awareness. You’ll be coming back to these answers again in the future, so take your time and enjoy the process.

You can also write more in the future, taking yourself deeper and clearer each time you come back to that question. Trust that more will be revealed as your own wholeness is revealed.

If you don’t know how to answer something, ask yourself what am I resisting here? What can this teach me about myself? And then be brave and go deeper. Come back to that question again and again until you have clarity or at least a starting place for understanding or further action. If the question is impossible, seek help. A counselor, a healer, a trusted friend or adviser, or whomever else feels right to give you some guidance around this question.

  1. What does my physical body most need right now?
  2. How can I best ensure that my body can have these things it needs to thrive?
  3. Do I need to get help with my health, and what would that look like?
  4. What environments make me feel good?
  5. What helps me to have a restful night’s sleep? – How can I create more of that in my life?
  6. What movement and exercise does my body most need? How could I easily and realistically bring that into my life?
  7. What style of clothing helps me feel like my best and most authentic self?
  8. What self-care routines most nourish and heal me?
  9. What small things in my life that are a source of irritation can I deal with effectively now with just a small amount of effort or organisation?
  10. What big things in my life irritate or worry me, that I need to face up to and sort out or give to an expert to sort out on my behalf?
  11. What have I always believed about myself that is keeping me small?
  12. What have others told me about myself, or have made me conform to, which is limiting me and my happiness?
  13. Who is bad for me?
  14. Who would I benefit from seeing more of?
  15. Do I need more hugs and connection, or more personal space right now? How do I make this happen?
  16. What things have I stopped doing that used to make me happy?
  17. What things am I doing that make me unhappy or unbalanced right now?
  18. What am I stopping myself from doing?
I, Mother Earth by moonxels at deviantart

I, Mother Earth by moonxels at deviantart

And now for some dreaming and co-creating energy. Be informed by the writing you have done with your exploratory questions. Let yourself step into the energy of possibility and growth. Let yourself dream about how good life could be. Don’t limit yourself. This is about painting your canvas with the colours and energy that will shape a powerful positive future life. Write at least a paragraph. Be detailed and specific where you can.Truly imagine what your best life could be like. What do you look like? Where are you living? What does your day look like?

If you’re still not sure, then write it as a story, a fairy-tale that might one day come true. Don’t limit yourself. Be joyful in your creating! There are always the seeds of truth and possibility in dreams and imagination…

1. My desire and intention for my body and health that I am now creating is that…

2. My desire and intention for my love relationship that I am now creating (this could be with a life partner, yourself or even with God) is that…

3. My desire and intention for my lifestyle and work that I am now creating is that…

Day 8 – Gratitude Challenge

Image from runthepath.com

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”

~ Innerspace

Congratulations! You’ve completed your first full week of gratitude. Well done. ♥  You are gently retraining your brain to remove resistance to flow, and installing habits of appreciation and abundant thinking.

We are all looking for greater flow in our lives. When we are in ‘flow’ life just works, somehow.  We find the right job, the money is there, we have love and music and contentment in our hearts. When we are in flow doors open… miracles happen… life just feels good.

The greatest obstacle to flow is resistance. Resistance isn’t something external to us. It is our internal dialogue.  I’m sure you know what I mean.  That thing we do where our head gets filled with grumbles and complaints:

Not fair.  Too hard.  No fun.  Not enough.  Not worthy. Too much money.  Not enough money.  Too fat. Not smart. How come she gets that? How come he got that? When’s it my turn?  It’s never my turn. I’m an idiot. I can’t believe I did that. I don’t deserve that. That good thing will never happen for me.

Can you feel how anti-magnetic those kind of thoughts are to the good stuff?

Can you feel how magnetic these thoughts are to more cranky, miserable and impoverished kinds of events, relationships and outcomes?

Image from photobucket

The antidote to resistance is…

Yes, you know what I’m going to say…

Finding an attitude of gratitude.

When we can find something to be grateful for, no matter how difficult our current circumstances, we begin to ease ourselves out of that struggle energy and back into flow.

So let’s get into that affirming energy that allows us to move from flow to allowing, by counting our Blessings.

Daily Gratitude Practice – Count Our Blessings and Use our Gratitude Rock

If you need a detailed reminder of the process, you can review it here in Day 1 of the Gratitude Challenge.

  1. List five Blessings in your journal, explaining why you are grateful for each one.
  2. Count your Blessings off on your fingers, summoning positive emotion and saying Thank You from your heart for each one.
  3. Tonight before you go to sleep, hold your Gratitude Rock and affirm I am richly Blessed. I have an Abundance of Good in my life. Visualise one thing you have been grateful for today. Swell that positive energy up in your heart like a beautiful golden light, and give a heart-felt Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to the Universe, then imagine a tiny shower of golden light travelling from your heart into your Gratitude Rock.
  4. Still holding your Gratitude Rock, bless your fellow travellers on this Gratitude Journey by sending them golden light, and saying Thank you.  I Bless You.  I intend for you Love, Miracles and Abundance. Know that as you are saying this for them, they are also saying this for you. Feel that connection and gratitude and know that there is real love and support for you here. Place your rock back beside your bed, and go to sleep, cocooned in this good energy.

If all you do each day is these first four steps, know that is enough.

If you feel especially flat, then carry your Gratitude Rock with you, or lie/sit in bed at the start or end of the day, and hold it over your heart so that its energy can recharge you.

If you have an abundance of gratitude and feel-good energy, send some extra to your fellow travellers on this journey, with the intent to uplift those who need it. You can do this as easily as closing your eyes and imagining or intending it be so.

The beautiful thing about this challenge is that we are all in this together, helping and energising each other, and amplifying our collective energy.

Are you ready to dissolve more resistance?  If your answer is yes, then join me for today’s additional Challenge:

I’m So Happy For You, and Thankful for Your Success!

Think of something you really want.  It could be a soul mate, a great promotion, a publishing contract, a gold medal…

It’s okay that you don’t have it yet. Someone else does.  And their having it proves that it’s also possible for you to have it.  The energy of their success is something you can draw to you and make your own, because gratitude amplifies the energy of what we are thankful for and creates it in our own lives.

Today, think of something you really want. Then think of someone who has it already.

Maybe you want a loving and lasting relationship, and your grandparents still hold hands and adore each other after 50 years of marriage. Hold a picture of them, and of their beautiful relationship in your mind. Swell your heart with feel-good emotion and gratitude for their loving relationship.  Then say “I’m so happy for you, and for your success. I am thankful for the energy of a loving marriage.” Really feel those words, and mean them with all your heart.

Image from plasticjungle.com

Maybe you want a publishing contract.  Think of an author whose books and success you admire. (This won’t work if you are resentful of them or jealous of them, or think their books suck.)  Hold a picture of the author, and of their incredible sales figures and wonderful books in your mind. Swell your heart with feel-good emotion and gratitude for their success as writers.  Then say “I’m so happy for you, and for your success. I am thankful for the energy of being a successful published author.” Really feel those words, and mean them with all your heart.

Whatever it is that you want to experience, find ways to be grateful for that energy as it already exists in the Universe. There is no surer way to melt that resistance and magnetise yourself to that Abundance.

Wishing you an inspired day of awakening and awareness. I am so very grateful that you choose to share this Gratitude Journey with me. Bless ♥ xx

Day 7 – Gratitude Challenge

Image from indiegod.wordpress.com

“When you are grateful fear disappears and abundance appears.” ~ Anthony Robbins

While money can’t buy you happiness, a lack of money in your life can create great stress and upset, and is the cause of much worry and fear for many.

Whenever we concentrate on lack, we get more of that.  The clearer the thought and the stronger the emotion, the more quickly the Universe fills our order. So if we think or shout “Oh no – not another bill!” and we attach a strong emotion of anger or frustration or fear to that thought, we are only magnetising ourselves to more of the same…

In order to create financial flow we need to feel abundant. We have to develop positive feelings and thoughts about money.

How can you tell if you are in resistance to money?

Image from militarymoneymight.com

If there is mild resistance, or a belief that you don’t deserve more (we’ll be dealing with this in a later blog!) you might find that there’s enough money, but never any over, and that you can live day to day but never quite get ahead.

If you are deeper in resistance you will resent or feel envious of people who have more money than you.  You resent the bills, and are frustrated by your inability or constant effort to pay them. You feel uncomfortable thinking or talking about money. Your biggest awareness of money is that there isn’t enough, or as much as you would like. You pay bills and other expenses grudgingly, even if it’s for things you want. You don’t pay attention to your cash account and credit card balances, mail from the banks and bills go unopened, or get left around the house.  You worry about money.

And those thoughts and emotions are the surest way to make you feel impoverished.

The best way to start feeling wealthy is by counting our many Blessings.

My Daily Gratitude Practice:

If you need a detailed reminder of the process, you can review it here in Day 1 of the Gratitude Challenge.

  1. List five Blessings in your journal, explaining why you are grateful for each one.
  2. Count your Blessings off on your fingers, summoning positive emotion and saying Thank You from your heart for each one.
  3. This morning, take your money from underneath your Gratitude Rock and affirm “I am grateful for financial abundance.  My money is multiplying and blessing me and others daily.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
  4. Place your Gratitude Money in your wallet, so that you won’t spend it, but that you know it is there. (I put a heart sticker on mine, folded it up, and poked it in with my drivers licence!) Affirm “This Gratitude Money is magnetic to good. It multiplies and brings money to me in so many wonderful ways.  Thank you!” Spend a moment and visualise this money as a little magnet, pulling other money to it.  Imagine tiny showers of golden light sprinkling out from this Gratitude Money, blessing all the other money and cards in your wallet. Let yourself feel wealthy and grateful.
  5. Tonight before you go to sleep hold your Gratitude Rock and affirm I am richly Blessed.
  6. Then snuggle back down into bed and drift off to sleep, cocooned in this wonderful energy of love and gratitude.

If you only follow these steps today, that is enough, but if you’d like a further gratitude challenge about creating financial flow, read on…

Thank You for the Money!

Remember, right at the beginning of our 30 Day Gratitude Challenge we said that Gratitude is a powerful tool in any Lightworker’s kit. When we say thank you to the Universe, in effect we are placing an order where we are saying more please of all this good stuff, or other things equally as wonderful, or even better!

This is equally true whether we are thankful for a hug, a friend, a good meal, or money in our wallet.

Image from abubakarjamil.com

Today, at every opportunity, give thanks for the money in your life.  This actually can be a lot of fun as you realise just how much money has already flowed into your existence.

The money may have come as a gift, or a loan.  It may have been earned by you or someone in your family, you could have sold something or won something, received a discount or been given a bonus.

If you are given a second-hand sofa, that’s money! The clothes you’re wearing were purchased using money. The mug you drink your morning coffee out of was also part of the money flow.  See what I mean?

Today, hold that awareness of how much money is already in your life.

As you lie in your bed think or say “Thank you for the money that has provided this home for me.”

When you get into your car, think or say “Thank you for the money that provided me with this car.”

When you pay for your breakfast, or the bus ticket, or the newspaper or the groceries, say “Thank you for the money that flows to and through me.”

There is so much evidence of the money that has already shown up in your life.

If you write a cheque or pay a bill, draw a little heart on the bill or the cheque stub and write “Thank you for the money that pays this bill.”

As you hold cash in your hand to pay for something, think or say “Thank you for the gift of money in my life.”

Give some money away with a Blessing for the Abundance in your life. Charitable acts come from an abundant heart. It might be a coin to a busker, or a coin in a donation tin, or the purchase of a packet of Girl Guide biscuits, or a ticket in the local charity raffle. Feel how abundant you are, that you have wealth to share. Say “I am Blessed with Abundance. Thank You for the Money I can flow to others.” Really feel that swell of gratitude in your heart.

Image from pellandbales.wordpress.com

I was sent this quote by the lovely Silvana Nagyl.  It’s from the Mediation Society of Australia, on the topic of gratitude. It’s a great thought to hold for today…

“I have no one to criticise and no thing, not even me.

For criticism blocks the flow of love,

it is gratitude that pours through me like a flood.”

Day 6 – Gratitude Challenge

Image from hispanicallyspeakingnews.com

If you want to turn your life around, try thankfulness.  It will change your life mightily.  ~Gerald Good

You are provided for. And you have been since you got here.

When we were children we took so much for granted – a bed to sleep in and food on the table, electricity and water.  We had clothes, and books, and education. We had company, and toys and access to so many things…

Money is neither a positive or negative force – it’s neutral.  It is our thoughts and behaviours that give the concept of money a charge. And once we have those thoughts, and think them often, or behave in a certain way, the Universe responds by matching our financial outcomes to our thoughts and actions.  That’s how the Law of Attraction works.

Image from chicagotribune.com

Now we are grown. No matter what our current financial situation, by having gratitude for what we do have, and for appreciating money and what it can provide for us, we begin to increase prosperity and abundance in our lives.

It doesn’t matter if all you have is a handful of coins.  That’s a start.  When we begin to feel grateful about the money that has already flowed through our lives, when we can feel thankful for the handful of coins in our wallet, money begins to show up. Anything we are grateful for is multiplied in our lives…

For today’s Gratitude Challenge we’ll start by Counting our Blessings:

If you need a detailed reminder of the process, you can review it here in Day 1 of the Gratitude Challenge.

  1. List five Blessings in your journal, explaining why you are grateful for each one.
  2. Count your Blessings off on your fingers, summoning positive emotion and saying Thank You from your heart for each one.
  3. Tonight before you go to sleep, find a low value note like a one dollar bill, or a fiver.
  4. Now hold your Gratitude Rock and affirm I am richly Blessed.
  6. Place your rock back beside your bed, on top of the money.  See the Gratitude Rock charging up that money with magnetic and positive energy. Say “I am Grateful for Financial Abundance.  Money is magnetised towards me, and it just keeps showing up in my life.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.”  Then snuggle back down into bed and drift off to sleep, while your Gratitude Rock works its magic!

A Gratitude Rock charging up some money. We’ll talk more about this in tomorrow’s blog!

If you like, you can do just these first six steps. That’s more than enough.

But if you’d like to participate in an activity that continues to build the energy of gratitude around financial abundance read on…

The Blessing Game:

As you go through your day, affirm often I am Blessed with Abundance – Thank you!

Affirm this as you put on your clothes and eat your breakfast.  Affirm this as you pay for your morning coffee or a ticket for the bus.  Affirm this every time you realise that money has been spent, or is being spent, to provide the many Blessings in your life.

Every time you pull money from your pocket, or your wallet, give thanks.

And it’s not just your money and your spending that you can show gratitude for.  If you live in a city, and there are pavements and gardens, give thanks for them.  Give thanks for the facilities at your workplace.

Feel gratitude for the people and businesses spending money that support your community and economy. If you pass a building site, be grateful for that industry, if you pass a cafe, give thanks for the patrons who allow that business to exist. Give thanks for the Abundance you see everywhere that supports your current life.

The more we are grateful for what we have, the more we are given. This works for everything, including money. Our gratitude creates positive energy for our own prosperity and that of our economy. Isn’t that wonderful!

Wishing you a day of Abundance Thinking.  Bless ♥ xx

Day 1 – Gratitude Challenge

“If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, “thank you,” that would suffice.” ~Meister Eckhart

Welcome to Day 1 of our 30 Day Gratitude Program.  If you’re only just catching up with us today go here first to find out what you need to do to get ready.

Gratitude is a powerful tool in any Lightworker’s kit.  In fact, it forms an essential part of my Daily Habits. When we say thank you to the Universe, in effect we are placing an order where we are saying more please of all this good stuff, or other things equally as wonderful, or even better!

Today we’re going to initiate our gratitude habit using three primary tools – our hands, a journal and a gratitude rock. Then for the next 30 days we are going to continue this practice. Of course, I shall be spicing it up with extra little challenges and activities, but this shall be the basis of our daily practice.

Using the Gratitude Journal:

* Do this activity as close to the start of every day as possible.  That way you are setting up your day energetically, inviting positive energy and putting yourself into a receptive and abundant state of mind.

Write down five Blessings for today. The Blessing can be anything for which you are thankful.  It can be a big thing or a small thing, it can be from the present or the past, but you must be sincere in having gratitude for this thing in your life.

Write each Blessing like this:

I am grateful for (name the Blessing) because (explain WHY you are grateful for this thing).

Here’s mine from this morning (note that I have not censored this in any way… it’s here in all its inane glory, just so you understand that you can be grateful about anything!):

  1. I am so very grateful for cuddles in the big bed on cold mornings because they make me feel warm, loved and well rested.
  2. I am so very grateful for my sexy new computer because it is fast and efficient and I love using it.
  3. I am totally grateful for Bert (one of my dogs) because he fills my heart with love and happiness.
  4. I am truly blessed to have my sister, because I can talk with her about anything.
  5. I am grateful for socks, because they keep my feet warm and help me be healthy and strong.

Now Count Your Blessings:

Hold up your left hand (or your right, if that feels better to you).  Now using your opposite hand, count a Blessing for each finger and thumb. This simple act of counting acts as a powerful physical anchor for the energetic state of Gratitude.  Use the five Blessings you have written in your journal.

Count each Blessing like this – Touch your thumb and say Today I am grateful for _______________.  As you list each Blessing, visualise that thing in your mind, and summon emotion about that thing.  Feel yourself smile, or radiate love, or feel positive, encouraged, comforted or any other  emotion that makes you feel good. Then say Thank You from your heart.

So my first Blessing sounded like this:

Today I am grateful for cuddles on the big bed. Then I thought about how lovely my cuddle was, and built up a warm, feel-good glow inside. From that feel-good space of gratitude I said a heart-felt Thank You.

When you have a clear picture and emotion, and you’ve said Thank You move onto the next finger.  Touch that finger and repeat the process of counting your Blessing until you have counted your five.

Count your Blessings, one by one. Image from thatsglitchy.com

Using the Gratitude Rock:

The Gratitude Rock anchors positive energy and gratitude at the end of every day.  You can carry your stone with you, or leave it beside your bed.  At night, before you go to sleep, hold your Gratitude Rock in your hand.

As you hold the stone say to yourself I am richly Blessed. I have an Abundance of Good in my life.  Then hold in your mind one or more image of a thing you have been grateful for today.  It doesn’t matter if your review your Blessings from this morning, or add in something new.  Swell that positive energy up in your heart like a beautiful golden light, and give a heart-felt Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to the Universe. Visualise a tiny shower of golden light travelling from your heart into your Gratitude Rock.

Now here’s the fun bit – imagine all of the other people who are taking part in this 30 day challenge with you. Once again build up a strong positive energy in your heart, and then imagine shooting a stream of golden light out into the Universe to those people.

Say Thank you.  I Bless You.  I intend for you Love, Miracles and Abundance. Know that as you are saying this for them, they are also saying this for you. Feel that connection and gratitude and know that there is real love and support for you here. Place your rock back beside your bed, and go to sleep, cocooned in this good energy.

Here’s my Gratitude Rock:

My gorgeous citrine Gratitude Rock

Thanks so much for joining us on this challenge.  Don’t forget to invite your friends!  The more energy we create, the more we all benefit from this activity.  Wishing you a joyous day, full of shift and possibility. Congratulations – you are at the beginning of a grand and life-affirming adventure.  Bless ♥ xx

A Magical Way to Attract More of What You Want!

Last week I shared a simple but powerful journal exercise with you, designed to help you get clarity about what you REALLY want in life. If you didn’t read it, or need to refresh your memory, here’s the link:  Getting to the Heart of things

All you needed to do was to write an answer to a simple question, and then do this again over a period of days.  That simple question was What do I want?

Today I’m going to show you how to begin attracting what you want, through another simple technique can change your whole world.

Isn’t this gorgeous! Heart Shaped Map, 1536, by Oronce – 1494-1555

This week I want you to use your answers to last week’s million dollar question, and rephrase your words so that you are affirming that you now have these things.

If you wrote five days of What do I want? you will now have five days of I now have… to write.

Affirming these things as already being a part of your life creates a magical and magnetic attraction.

Does it work?

You bet it does!

In the spirit of sharing, I’ll show you an example chosen at random from my 2008 diary.  You’ll see that it is focused on the petty day-to-day stuff of my life at that time. That’s how it should be! Back then I was very ill, bedridden most of the time, unable to travel due to poor health, and unable to even walk up stairs without getting breathless.  I had a partially finished manuscript but I really didn’t know if I would ever finish a book, or if it would be any good.  Money was tight.  I had no clothes that fit me, but luckily I was infrequently invited anywhere, so the limited wardrobe wasn’t an issue. The neighbours had a dog that was driving me mad with his incessant yapping.  It’s fair to say life was challenging, and I couldn’t see a way to change it.

What do I want?  Monday April 21 2008 Brisbane

What do I want? I want to be really fit and to be able to walk endlessly even if it is up or downhill or in difficult terrain.  I want to have a life that is full of travel and adventure.  To achieve this I need to have good health.  I want to be able to easily make good choices about what I eat, how I exercise, and what sort of lifestyle I choose.  I choose health.

What do I want? I want a life of passive income that gives me time to be a part-time writer and psychic, and a part-time adventurer of other lands and cultures and even of my lands and cultures.  I want another dog who is well behaved like his brother Charlie and who does not bark needlessly.  I want to have good friends who invite me places and I want to be able to be a good friend to them.

I want to be able to write wonderful books that mean something to people and that are well written.  Really good books, not just successful books.  I want to have a wardrobe of adventure clothes and outdoor clothes and ball-gowns and town clothes and things for every occasion.

I want to pay off my credit cards in full each month and each month be investing in houses or shares or other interests that pay dividends and create capital growth.  I want to keep giving to charity and helping others.  I want to have good posture.

Here’s what I wrote as my What I now Have…  You write this by using your initial answers and affirming, with joy and gratitude that you now have these things in your life. If you feel uncomfortable as you write any of this, pay attention to those feelings and them bless them and release them – you no longer need to be in resistance to attracting good into your life. And don’t worry about HOW you’re going to attract these. That’s the Universe’s job!

What I now have  Monday April 28, 2008, The Farm

I am so happy and grateful that I am now really fit and able to walk endlessly up or downhill or in difficult terrain.  I have a life that is full of travel and adventure.  I enjoy good health.  I easily make good choices about what I eat, how I exercise, and what sort of lifestyle I choose.  I choose health.

I have a wonderful life of passive income.  I am a part-time writer and psychic, and a part-time adventurer of other lands and cultures and even of my lands and cultures.  I have a beautiful new dog who is well behaved like his brother Charlie and is quiet and obedient.  My good friends invite me places and I am a good friend to them.

I write wonderful books that mean something to people and that are well written.  Really good books, not just successful books. I have a wardrobe of adventure clothes and outdoor clothes and ball-gowns and town clothes and things for every occasion.

I happily pay off my credit cards in full each month and each month I now invest in houses or shares or other interests that pay dividends and create capital growth.  I enjoy giving to charity and helping others.  I have excellent posture.

This was an interesting exercise for me this morning, as I almost never go back and review my old journals.  So now it’s July 9, 2012.  What has really changed for me?

Here’s the view from my hotel in Gubbio, Italy, 2010!

I have vastly improved health, and can walk miles.  I have had two overseas trips, and have two more planned and booked. I’m choosing health and have things in place that support this choice.

I have the beginnings of passive income streams, and more strands to come. I pay my credit cards off each month, and have investments. I only work part-time, at writing and at psychic work, and I have a beautiful dog Bert who is a brother to Charlie.

I have three completed manuscripts, one currently under review with a publisher after being accepted for the QWC Hachette Manuscript Development Program in 2011, and two more new manuscripts underway. My wardrobe has a range of new clothes and I plan to get some made when I am in Thailand later this year.

I had a fund-raising high tea only yesterday, and I can happily say that I have some wonderful friends, and can contribute to charities in ways that are very meaningful to me.

Did I do any of this with a conscious plan, carefully thought out and enacted?

No.

I just did this exercise.

Works pretty well, don’t you think?

Here’s a photo one of my beautiful friends took from our High Tea yesterday, where we raised money to support a young man’s education and to feed and house his family while he is at University.
