Live for What Makes You Come Alive – Monday Oracle 19 June 2017

“My fault, my failure, is not in the passions I have, but in my lack of control of them.”
~ Jack Kerouac

Hello, Lovelies!

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen this Monday, and my take on the energetic outlook for the week ahead. I use any oracle or tarot cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book. ‘Passion’ is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman.

If you read my forecast for June, you’ll remember that June is a gentle month of revitalisation, redirection and emotional and physical nourishment.

Now, lets look at the gifts Passion brings this week.

Passion is all about following our heart. Not for fame or glory, but because following our heart enriches our life and gives it shape and meaning.

It’s about singing if you love to sing, even if you will never secure a recording deal or become a world-famous musician.

Your thing could be baking or sewing or horses or writing or building things or growing roses. It might be collecting rare old books or working on your family tree or saving the wilderness.

Following our passions helps us to come alive. It might not be our current career – it might just be our hobby. And that’s okay. What matters most is that we make room for these passions and spend time on them. Passions sometimes have a way of becoming our path. All we ever need to do is be open, and follow our heart. The rest is truly up to the magical synchronicities and miracles of the Universe.

Passion is also about sharing your gifts and passion with others, if that feels right.

It’s about spending your life in service to what matters to your heart. When we have no passion we become lost to ourselves. Passion is the lamp that lights us from within.

This week, Passion reminds us to craft a life for ourselves that pleases us, and that informs and inspires our days. When we share that magic, it can also brighten and inspire the lives of others too!

Supportive crystals this week?

Blue Quartz helps us to trust ourselves and our dreams, and to hear those heart whispers. Green Chrysoprase opens our heart and helps us to find the courage to live the life that calls us. Black Tourmaline is great for helping us to see where we need to set boundaries.  Citrine helps us to bring the sunshine back into our lives, and to think with optimism and clarity!

Helpful essential oils?

Young Living’s Abundance essential oil blend, or a combination (or singly!) of any of Orange, Cedarwood, Frankincense and Ylang Ylang. Abundance opens us to the flow of life, helping us to act from a place of love, trust and benevolence. Just rub a drop together in the palms of your hands and then breathe in and wipe through your aura.  Dab a few drops on your wrists or over your heart – its warm, spicy aroma makes it a great perfume or cologne. A few drops in the bath are wonderful too. You may want to dilute with a drop or two of a base oil such a sweet almond or coconut before applying directly to the skin.  It’s my oil of choice in my diffuser again this week. You can find all the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for a you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

Lost your Creative Mojo?

“Creativity – like human life itself – begins in darkness.”
~ Julia Cameron

Have you taken the pledge and signed up for my Creative Challenge Project yet? It’s not too late, and hopefully, if you stick with me, by the end of this year you’ll have something finished, a new skill or interest, or a bigger project in progress.

As I encourage you to embrace your creativity in 2013, I’ve had a steady trickle of private messages and emails from people who feel that somehow their creativity has left the building. For some there is a sense of loss, for others a quiet desperation.  How do they get their mojo back?

Having been in exactly that dark place at times too, I’m not going to try to jolly you out of your funk (as with depression, it doesn’t work and makes you feel worse!), or make trite statements that are supposed to inspire but that always leave you – the struggling, lost one – feeling lacking and even more useless or stuck. Instead I’m going to have a conversation about the nature of creativity as I have found it. Understanding the creative process has been a source of comfort and personal power for me. And it has allowed me to become far kinder towards myself.

Over the next four weeks, each Monday, I shall look at ways to understand and enhance your creativity, and to nurture this important energy within you.

Even if you are brimful of creative ideas and projects right now, long experience has shown me that there will be times ahead when you struggle with self-doubt, lack of creative direction, low enthusiasm and zero inspiration.

Don’t panic. There are always things that can be done to bring you from that place of stuckness back into flow.

The areas I’ll be covering are:

  1. Situations where creativity vanishes
  2. The seasonal nature of creativity
  3. Ideas for creative replenishment
  4. Emergency tool kit for blocked creatives

I look forward to our creative collaborative energies this year.  I know it can be a magical year for you, and one you will look back on with a sense of fondness and accomplishment. Humans were born to create, and creating is one of the best kinds of soul medicine.

Much love to you, Nicole ♥ xx

The Green-Eyed Envy Monster

There is not a passion so strongly rooted in the human heart as envy. ~ Richard Brinsley Sheridan

Envy gets a bad rap in our society, with fair cause.  But today I want to talk about the positive aspects of envy. I believe that envy can be a great helper in your life, if you know how to tune in and use it wisely.

Think of envy as a little green monster that sits on your shoulder, a friendly monster who knows you well, watching and observing as you go through life.

When he sees something that you want (whether you recognise that fact or not), he digs his claws into your shoulder, causing you a sting of discomfort.

If it’s something that’s actually quite important to you, the green-eyed monster’s fat, heavy tail may also slap you on the side of the head, to make sure you’re paying attention.

And then a little flag goes up in the perimeter of your conscious awareness, to mark that space for you. It will make you feel uncomfortable, restless, cranky, perhaps even a bit pouty. It can also make you feel inadequate, guilty, insecure, or ‘not enough’.

But be brave.  Move past those reactive feelings. They are only there to get your attention.  Now he’s got it, tune in to the envy monster’s message.

He’ll whisper in your ear, “look… look… the boots she’s wearing… the job he’s doing… how fit she is… the review for his book… their holiday house in France… the freedom they enjoy… those friends having dinner together… did you see that?  did you feel that? We could do that.  We could have that.  We could be that.”

And you’ll know it’s true.  Maybe it’s not enough to be a clerical assistant any more – maybe you should go back to night school. Maybe you need to lose a few pounds, update your wardrobe, go on a holiday, dust off that half-finished manuscript and have another crack at it, start dating or end a go-nowhere relationship…

There is a seed of self-awareness in envy, and if you plant that seed in a barren part of your life, water it, nurture it, and help it grow, it will one day bear sweet fruit.

And then the green-eyed envy monster will have a nice long, well-deserved nap, because you won’t need him any more.

♥ You deserve to shine.

♥ You deserve to follow your dreams.

♥ You deserve to be happy and well loved.
