A Heart-Gladdening Walk

“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.”
~
John Muir

I felt raw yesterday, raw and exhausted and all used up. (not sure why, read this post)

I tried to sit at my desk and work, but couldn’t find a rhythm. My overflowing inboxes were overwhelming. I didn’t have enough words left in me for writing or for guiding. So, in the end, I left the hotel and began walking.

At first I walked without noticing anything but my feet moving along the footpaths and roads.

My head was strangely full of the sudden worry of becoming old and ill and having no-one to care for me. I have a chronic degenerative illness. My husband and I have no children. My siblings have no children. My circle is small and ever-dwindling. Who will advocate for me at the end? Who will hold my hand?

Stupid fat tears kept rolling down my cheeks.

Stupid.

I kept walking.

The more I walked the more these worrying thoughts emptied out.

I began to notice my surroundings. Shopfronts, cafes, flower carts, old churches, street musicians, the aroma of coffee and freshly baked bread.

I began to notice people.

Suddenly I was laughing. My heart filled up with beauty and wonder. I have faced death before and in those hours strangers were there for me. Nurses and doctors and kind-hearted hospital workers.

In someone else’s trials I was there for them.

That’s how it’s meant to work. How can I trust the spiritual flow of my work and not trust that this flow will also somehow support me in my time of need?

Silly me. It’s all okay. It will always be okay.

After my long walk I came home and slept. Then I returned to my desk. There is much work to be done and I am the one to do it and that’s okay too.

Fun With Friends!

“Fun is one of the most important – and underrated – ingredients in any successful venture. If you’re not having fun, then it’s probably time to call it quits and try something else.” ~ Richard Branson

Hi Lovelies,

I’m in Adelaide right now, which is cold and wintery and wonderful. Thanks so much to everyone who came out to my channelling event on Monday night. I love being able to hug people and put a name to the face of friends I have only known online.

This week I have a balance of work and fun, and I’m lucky to have one of my favourite families taking me around the sights and to delicious eateries and magical places.

Yesterday included private appointments in the morning followed by bookshops, pop-up crab spaghetti restaurants (no – that platter in the pic was not all for me!), ice-cream and lots of laughter, hugs and sharing. After dinner I had an early night back at my hotel room with meditation, a hot shower and then a long sleep beneath clean sheets.

July is a month that focuses on relationships, heart connection and soul nurture, and I’m certainly getting plenty of that right now! I hope you’re managing to find some connection time too.
Much love to you, Nicole ❤ xx

Channelling And Guided Meditation Night in Adelaide!

“You are the sum total of everything you’ve ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot – it’s all there. Everything influences each of us, and because of that I try to make sure that my experiences are positive.” ~ Maya Angelou

Hi Lovelies,
I have some great news for you. I am coming to Adelaide – on Monday July 16 I will be running a Channelling and Guided Meditation Evening from 6 to 9pm at The Yoga Centre, Adelaide. I’d love to have you come join me!

Adelaide Program:

Come along and meet some of my Guides and energetic companions (including some fairy friends!). They will share information about a range of topics, as well as answering questions from the audience. I rarely conduct channelling sessions outside my retreats, so this is a very special offering. I’ll also be running a Guided Meditation Session to help you with Healing, Connection and Direction.

I’ll be channelling my guides and some fairy friends who’ll be discussing:

  • The differences between Angels and Fairies, and how to call on them
  • How Guides work and how you can connect to your own Guides
  • How to navigate life using your Intuition
  • Five clear ways to tap into your own Inner Wisdom
  • Understanding Karmic Relationships and Soul Groups
  • How to help the planet right now

These nights are always entertaining, educational and often very enlightening. There will also be time for you to ask questions. Tea and coffee will be provided.

Want to bring your kids? I welcome them as long as they are old enough to participate in the meditations and activities and are interested in the kind of content we’ll be sharing. As their parent you’ll know if this event is right for your child. This is not an evening suited to little children.

Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for children under 17.
