It’s Never Too Late For Your Dreams – Monday Oracle 13 May 2024

It’s never too late to become who you want to be. I hope you live a life that you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over.

 – F. Scott Fitzgerald

Hello, Lovelies!

This Quarter I am using The Sacred She Oracle by Ma Deva Padma for my weekly oracle readings.

Our card to guide us for the week ahead is 11. IMAGINATION

2024 is a year for fresh starts, for creativity, healing and social connection. It’s a year for ambitious projects and for getting stuff done.

May is a month for trying things out, for being playful and embracing social connection. It’s a great month for supporting your health and wellness, and for developing routines and habits that move you slowly but surely towards your goals.

11. IMAGINATION

Don’t let life sail off with your dreams still unexpressed!

Is there something you’ve always wanted to try? Something you wanted to do? Something you wanted to learn, or to be? This week’s energies remind you that it’s not too late.

Sure, you might have missed the boat on specific things. You can’t win a prize for being the best young Poet under 30 if you are currently aged 72. But there will be other competitions, if that is your jam. There is always a work-around, an equivalent, or… something better.

Often, the things we crave when we are younger make less sense to us as we age. Or the craving changes. 11. Imagination reminds you that if the idea or feeling is still there, there’s still time.

Re-examine your cherished goals and long-held dreams this week. Then make a plan, and take steps towards them. Don’t die with the music still inside you. Let that music out. Enjoy the journey, even as you head for the destination.

Go do that trip, learn that language, start that project, write that book, take art lessons, begin that business, dance, cook, garden, build, create, shine. That’s what life is for – living!

My Top Tip For The Week Ahead

Worry less about what other people will think, and for now, let go of outcomes. Writers finish a draft before they edit. Musicians master notes or chords or scales before they become fluent in their craft. Artists learn to mix colours and discover what kind of brush to use to make a certain shape or effect before they create a work of great ability. Every fit athlete started out with much less skill and fitness. Every baker started out not knowing what they were doing, and simply following instructions. Let yourself be a beginner. Experiment. Have fun with it. Who cares where other people are at on their journey. Stop comparing yourself. The only person’s journey that matters is yours.

Crystals to support you this week – Carnelian, Amethyst, Amazonite, Larimar, Snowflake Obsidian, Clear Quartz

Here at the Treehouse I celebrated Mother’s Day yesterday with Ben cooking me a delicious roast dinner (many thanks to our friend Marlene who taught Ben how to bake a roast lamb with vegetables years ago during one of my many hospitalisations), and with cards and a gift from our two dogs. Am I a mother of children? No. And while part of me will always feel sad about that, I also recognise that not having children was the very best thing I could have done, given my own health, and the health problems I would have likely inflicted on any offspring.

It meant so much to me to receive handmade cards and small gifts from my adopted nieces, and messages from members of my community who thanked me for the ways I have supported and nurtured them over the years. It’s in my nature to mother and care for others, and so I now claim Mother’s Day as my private celebration of that nature, and in honour of all those good women whom have mothered and nurtured me in some way. I thought about the women who have been important influences in my life – my mum, mother-in-law, sister, and grandmothers – and the many women whom are NOT related to me. Mentors, teachers, writers, artists, musicians, activists, librarians, employers, neighbours, friends. It was a day filled with much gratitude.

This week I am hoping that the weather gods will be kind to me long enough for us to finally lay all the crystals amid the flagstones on our new partially-completed stone steps. Fingers crossed for a day of sunshine!

And my dreams?
I am spending time with my beloved, I am exercising, I have travel coming up, I’m writing, and I’m creating all kinds of lovely things for my Journeymaker community and Academy. So, that feels good, and I can see that I am finally making progress in multiple areas. Hooray!

Sending you all so much love. Thanks for sharing the journey with me. Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.
