Monday Oracle – 5 February 2018

“And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
Antoine de Saint-ExupéryThe Little Prince

Hello, Lovelies!

In February we are building on the strength and intuitive connection we found for ourselves at the beginning of the year. February brings opportunities for planning, learning and growing in order to bring about positive change. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of awareness which the oracle card Seeker of Hearts brings us.

This week we open to the understanding that it’s okay to live from our heart, to come from our truth, and to honour our emotions. The Seeker of Hearts reminds us that when we are brave enough to show our true self and feel our feelings magic begins to happen in our lives. Tell people how you feel. Allow yourself to be moved by art or beauty or kindness. Offer forgiveness or friendship to others. Looking for love? Seeker of Hearts encourages you to put yourself out there and to trust that you can find a new relationship. Let your heart lead the way.

The Seeker of Hearts will also show you where you need to protect your heart or call it back to yourself.

Pour your heart into what you love this week. Don’t be afraid to care deeply, in business or your art or in relationships or anything else. It’s that music of your heart, expressed through your words and actions, that will make you or your work magnetic to the right people and situations.

Supportive crystals this week?

Banded Agate (pictured) creates a sense of safety, peace and belonging as you open up to living more fully as yourself. Great if you feel anxious about speaking up or sharing your gifts with the world! Sunstone helps you to sit in a place of abundance thinking so that you see the blessings and possibilities in life. Rose Quartz opens your heart to love and helps you to express and receive love. Ocean Jasper is a healing stone that helps you to feel at home wherever you are, including feeling at home in yourself. To use these stones simply pop them in your pocket, or wear them somewhere on your body. They are also good to hold in meditation or to place under your pillow before sleep.

Helpful essential oils?

Rose essential oil is my pick for this week. Its sweet floral aroma is uplifting and heart opening. To bring romance into your world Geranium and Jasmine are also excellent choices. Apply a dab to wrists, neck and over heart as a perfume or diffuse. They are also heavenly in your bathwater.

Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this week, but they’ll also make a great combination for diffusing. Ylang Ylang restores confidence in ourselves and our decisions and is supportive when we feel anxious or overwhelmed, Rose opens our heart to love and heals old emotional hurts, Orange promotes joy, gratitude and optimism and Geranium is great for stress reduction and emotional balance, and for evoking a sense of peace and goodwill. To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

PS: Monday’s oracle card, ‘Seeker of Hearts’, is from the Inner Child Cards – A Fairy-Tale Tarot. I use any cards shown as a prompt for channeled messages and my own own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book.

Day 4 – Oracle Card Challenge

My Primary Love Relationship

This question will mean different things to different people, so work this according to your circumstances. You may be in a relationship, and if so, use that relationship as the subject of your enquiry. You may be single and wanting to be in a relationship. You may be exiting or thinking about exiting a relationship. Your primary love relationship may be with God, or with yourself as a happily single person. The dearest person in your life may not be a romantic partner but a family member, friend or even an animal companion. Get clear first about your Primary Love Relationship situation and then continue with today’s exercise.

Here’s what you need to do:

Take your crystal, and complete this short guided meditation:

Hold your stone in your cupped hands, close your eyes, and slow your breathing. Bring white light into your body until you feel peaceful and calm. Then bring white light into the crystal too. Allow yourself to connect to the stone. You may feel it tingle, or visualise a colour in your mind’s eye. When you are ready, open your eyes. Keep your stone near you, and hold it when you write.

Now shuffle your cards, while silently asking the question to yourself ‘What do I most need to know about my primary love relationship?’

When you have shuffled the cards and they feel ‘done’, select one card using the method that feels right for you.

Place the card face up in front of you.

Clear your mind by closing your eyes and taking one deep breath in and then out. Open your eyes again. Take a minute and look at the picture.

What stands out for you today? Is it an image or a colour? Is it a number or a word? What are your first impressions? What thoughts come into your mind?

Write these down in your journal.

Now let’s go a little deeper. What feelings or words does this card evoke in your mind when you think about the card and its images in relation to the question ‘What do I most need to know about my primary love relationship?’ Take five minutes and write some stream-of-consciousness thoughts down. Don’t censor or judge them. Trust the process. Draw a second card for clarification if you need to.

Finally, read back over what you have written.

Hold some love energy in your heart today. Bless xx

Big Relationship Shifts Ahead!

“The real question is, can you love the real me? Not the perfect person you want me to be, not that image you had of me, but who I really am.”
~ Christine Feehan

There’s change in the air, and I thought you’d like to know!

Yesterday I wrote that, among other things, 2016 is a year of bringing what is hidden into the light. A year about owning our shadow, and the unclaimed and rejected parts of ourselves, our families, our societies. About honouring our deepest feelings and longings and intuitions. About needing things to heal or change or mend or end.

Which of course brings us to relationships.

There’s change in the air.

This year, expect that change to be evident in every area of your life, including relationships. Your relationship with yourself, and your relationships with others. Work, friendship, love, family, habits, choices – all of these relationships will be affected.

2016 is a fabulous year for bringing relationships that have developed discord or distance back into better connection and communication.

It’s a year for finding or rediscovering love. For reconnection and healing. For coming together. For finding your tribe.

It’s a year for exiting relationships that can’t meet your needs.

No matter what the year has in store for you, remember that this shift is about positioning you in greater authenticity. You need relationships that are honest and real. Relationships that work. Relationships where you can be loved and accepted for yourself. Relationships that allow growth and deepening and change.

2016 is a fabulous year for relationships. Which means some will need help and attention, and this year is the year for that. Understand that in 2016 some of your relationships might end, to allow better ones to take their place. Be okay with that.

Don’t hang on tight to what’s not working.

Remind yourself, this is a year for love. Love is possible. Love is probable. If it’s truly broken, or finished, let it go. Let go of the hurt too. Open your arms and your heart wide again. Embrace life. Embrace the year.

I know some of you are growing and shining and life is expanding for you and at the same time you are also struggling with partners who are in difficult places – illness, depression, unemployment, low self-esteem – I’ll blog tomorrow about what you can do in that situation.

Be kind to yourself today!

Much love, Nicole xx

“Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead.” ~ Oscar Wilde

“A loving heart is the beginning of all knowledge.” ~ Thomas Carlyle

“Love is life. And if you miss love, you miss life.” ~ Leo Buscaglia

Welcome to Week 3 of our six week Making My Life Work for Me Program. (If you’re just joining us now, pop back and read the very first post so that you can gather the materials we’ll be using today.)

Our focus this week is on reconnecting with the energy of love in our lives.  Life becomes very empty without love – and I don’t just mean romantic love.

Get ready to open up your heart and let love in. A life lived with passion, purpose and a full heart will make you feel alive, energised and so grateful for the blessing of every day.

hearts

Instructions:

We will be following the same format each week.  Read through this entire post before you get started. You can do the activities all on one day, or spread them put over the week – whatever works best for you.

Meditation:

We’re going to start with a meditation to help you connect into and draw more love into your life.  Hold your crystal and drape your scarf or shawl around your shoulders.  Set aside twelve minutes for this. When you’re ready click the link below and simply follow the sound of my voice:

Nicole Cody’s Guided Meditation for Manifesting Love

Know that true and lasting love is possible. Know that you are already Loved. Love is your Nature. Love is your natural expression. ❤

(PS – I apologise for the breathy-ness of the recording, especially towards the end but my big fat heart is playing up today.)

Visualisation:

Do this straight after your meditation, when you are ready and open for receiving! Close your eyes and use your imagination. See yourself the way you want yourself to be in the world.  Feel yourself well loved, in love with life, and expressing that love joyfully in the world.  Have gratitude and expectation of drawing these things into your life.  Really put some energy into this.  You can repeat this step again this week (even daily) if it feels right.  Thoughts are things, and this is how you manifest in the Universe!

Using Your Journal:

Go back to the front of your journal and read your Pledge out loud.

You’ve committed to making a better life for yourself.  A better life means a life that holds more love – more connection to the significant relationships in your life, new relationships, and time for what matters to you. You are worthy of true and lasting love – with yourself, with family and other important people, with life paths, places and lifestyles. Be open to love in all its forms as you work with your journal this week.

Feel free to use your paints, coloured pens, glitter and stickers to make your journal visually attractive.  Get involved in the love manifestation process by pouring your creative heart into this week’s activities.

Card of the Week:

2013-03-24 16.30.18Let’s start our week by selecting some reflective spiritual Guidance.  Take your deck of positive cards, or your rune bag.  Close you eyes and offer up a prayer for the Highest Good, and then quiet your mind.

Randomly select a card/rune, trusting that it will have a message to guide you this week.  Write down the name of the card/rune and the message.  Feel free to add any additional thoughts or insights you might have.

Here’s what I chose for us: I love the message and appropriateness of this week’s card!

2013-04-07 08.45.41

2013-04-07 08.46.14

Our lives are made rich by relationships, and by having things in our lives that we care about deeply. Who can you reach out to this week and in the months ahead? How can you show love for yourself or someone special to you?

Week 3 Journal Activity:

On a clean page write a stream of consciousness around the question Where do I need more Love?  Start by clearing your mind, and then focus on your heart. This can be a hard thing to do if you haven’t checked in for a while. Look to the following areas and choose any or all of them to explore: self, health, family, life partner, friendships, animal companions, home, hobbies and interests, career, finances, spirituality, community.  No matter what you find when you look inside, intensify that feeling and then start writing. Draw pictures or mind map if you feel like it. Play music if it helps evoke the mood. Cast your net wide, and over the next few days keep adding to your list.  Allow any emotions that come up to be honoured, and then let them go. Keep bringing your attention back to your heart.

And now for heart art…

Collage – Self Portrait: Things that my heart loves.  Today we’re going to make a collaged picture of ourselves, made up of all of the things our heart loves.  If you choose, you can also add in photographs or copies of photographs of people, pets, places and other things dear to you.

Take your pile of old magazines and place them in front of you.  Holding your crystal close your eyes and say out loud “Universe, I am open to all Guidance and my own Higher Wisdom to help me invite, understand and honour the energy of love in my life. I AM love – love is in me and all around me.”  Take a moment and sit in that energy, really feeling yourself connecting into and opening to that heart wisdom.

Then when you’re ready, open your eyes and start flicking through the magazines.  If any pictures or words appeal to you, cut or rip them out and place them beside you. When you have enough images cut them up neatly, and then spend some time arranging them on a page or double page of your journal. Start by drawing a rough outline of your head and shoulders.  Then fill in your self portrait with images and words. If your journal isn’t big enough, feel free to use a sheet of cardboard. Glue your images to the page and leave it open to dry. There are so many things to fill you up with love.  Expect them to start turning up in your life.

Were there any surprises?  Did you notice any particular themes? How can you bring more of this nourishing love energy into your life?

Gratitude:

What’s already working in your life?  List five things in your journal each day that you are grateful for in your life.

Nightly Healing :

Get into bed and spend five minutes lying quietly in meditation with your eyes closed.  Call on God, Universal Energy, your Angels, your Guides, your Ancestors, whomever you feel comfortable and safe with.  Ask for their help.  Fill your body with white light, and then draw coloured light (just allow a colour to come to you) through your crown chakra (an energy point on the top of your head) and send it anywhere in your body that needs healing.  Feel the warmth as the energy radiates through your body, uplifting and healing you.  Know that answers will come while you are sleeping.

Give thanks, send this same healing gift from you to anyone or anywhere else if it feels right, and then sleep.  Expect dreams that inspire, heal and inform. Wishing you a wonderful week.

Much love to you, Nicole ♥ xx

Choosing Crystals To Attract Love ♥ Part 2

“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”
― Dr. Seuss

Can you use crystals to manifest love in your life?

You bet!

But let’s be clear that you can use them at attract ANY kind of love.  Romantic love, friendship, a creative project, dream job, a holiday that you adore, a baby…

I’m going to show you two ways today of calling in love.  The first is very easy and conventional.  The second feels amazing, and is much more ‘witchy’.  They both work well, so choose the method that most resonates with you.

First of all, let’s look at some crystals that would be helpful for this exercise:

Clear Quartz – The perfect stone for Soul Mates and Life Partners.  It can also be used for any other love purpose too. A great all-rounder.  It doesn’t matter if it’s a tumbled stone, a point, a shape, or a cluster.  Go with what feels right for you!

Danburite – This is one of the scrummiest stones I know for fertility and babies.

Amethyst – This is useful for calling in spiritual Soul Mates and also for connecting strongly with your Guides

Green Aventurine – The best crystal for attracting real and lasting friendship into your life.  Green Aventurine literally sparkles with that joyous energy of heart expansion.

Fluorite – my favourite stone for calling in creative ideas that I will adore.  Terrific for writers, musicians, artists and other creative types, or for folks who are looking for some artistic pathway to fall in love with.

Citrine – Use this stone for calling in your dream job, your perfect project, a career path that you will LOVE.  Great for finding your direction when you’re unclear.

You can actually choose ANY crystal that calls to you, when you’re choosing something to bring love into your life.  The most important thing is that you FEEL drawn to and happy with your choice.  I have been known to walk into a crystal shop, absently pick up a rock without realising, and then find it still clutched in my hand as I am leaving.  Sometimes I have not been visually attracted to the stone, but I knew I had to have it.  It became un-put-down-able…  Those sorts of stones are just fine too!

Feel free to review this general information on choosing and preparing crystals too, before we complete our activity for today:

Choosing A Crystal

Cleansing and Connecting with Crystals

Now, let’s work with our chosen stone.

Method one:

  1. Activate your hand chakras
  2. Take your crystal in one hand (left for men, right for women) and hold it up in front of your heart.
  3. Place your other hand just above the crystal, so that it is cupped between the energy of your two hands.
  4. Pour energy and light into your stone, and then set the clear intent of what you want.  You don’t need words.  Just FEEL the energy of a new love, a new baby, a new job, whatever it is that you are seeking to call to you.  Intensify that energy as you pour it into the stone.
  5. Say aloud, or strongly in your head I call you to me now.  I call you to my heart. Thank you.
  6. Finish by closing both hands over the stone and offering up a prayer or words of gratitude to the Universe.
  7. Now that your stone is programmed you can keep it on you, or place it by your bed, desk or on your windowsill.

Method Two:

  1. Follow Method One first! Then take your programmed crystal and go outside.
  2. Find a spot to lie down on the earth. Lie right down on the ground so that you are facing the sky. You can choose to hold your crystal in your hand, or place it on your chest, over your heart. Close your eyes, and feel a deep connection into the earth.
  3. Offer up a prayer of thanks, affirming that you now draw this love into your life.
  4. Feel your heart begin to spin.  When the energy is strong, imagine an energy like a tornado rising out of your heart.  Feel your body strongly connected into the earth, while the energy from your heart soars out into the universe like a swirling, spiralling storm. Let your heart energy roam until it connects into something.  You won’t get a name or a face – you’ll just get a feeling. Say with strong intention I welcome you into my life now. Thank you.
  5. Pull that feeling of connection back into your heart, and then allow your awareness to settle back into your chest.
  6. Become aware of the earth beneath you as you come back into your body.  Take a moment or two and relax before you stand up again.

Choosing Crystals to Attract Love ♥ Part 1

“We accept the love we think we deserve.”
~ Stephen Chbosky

So it seems that many of you like crystals, and the idea of working with crystals. And many of you have been asking me lately about love – how to love yourselves more, how to love others more, and how to attract love into your lives.

Crystals and love?  Seems like a perfect match to me!

In today’s post I’ll look at how to use crystals to increase self-love.  Self love is the foundation for any good relationship, and without it our relationship choices will not serve us well.

Tomorrow I’ll look at how to use crystals to help open you to better love relationships.

Good Crystals for Promoting Self Love

All you really need to do is choose a stone, and then wear or hold it, or keep it close by. An overview of that process can be found in the links below:

Choosing A Crystal

Cleansing and Connecting with Crystals

Here are some of my favourite crystals for self love.

Rose Quartz – An all rounder.  Great for self love, compassion, nurturing and gentle kindness.  Restores those depleted from over-giving. A very nourishing stone, strongly connected to the Angelic Realms.

Danburite – Heals the Inner Child within, promotes self esteem, and positive self talk. Helps you to value yourself.

Mangano Calcite – A stone with strong mothering energy, helps us to feel safe, loved and protected.  Useful in times of stress or trauma. Heals broken hearts and helps us feel worthy of love.

Watermelon Tourmaline – A delicious stone for getting you out of your head and back into your heart.  Promotes joyful self-acceptance, and a sense of playfulness. Removes guilt and inner conflict caused by critical self-thinking.

Citrine – A powerful stone for reclaiming your sense of self.  Helps you to value your own opinions and ideas, strengthens self esteem and identity. Attracts abundance and abundant thinking.  Unblocks creativity.  Promotes flow on all levels.

Green Aventurine – Such a terrific stone for joyful self-acceptance, inner strength, finding and investing in your own positive qualities, self-belief and self-esteem. Dissolves deep pain; especially emotional pain, self doubt or self-hatred.

Once you have chosen your stone, and cleansed and connected with it, you may also want to imbue it with a small program.  A program is just a simple thought or idea that you place into the crystal with your intent.  Crystals are a little like radio towers, transmitting their own special energetic qualities, as well as any other encoded energetic intentions.

If you’d like to program your crystal, have it with you, and then  follow the instructions in my simple 5-minute guided meditation:

May you know love in your heart today.  Bless ♥ xx

Attracting Love – Part 1

There is only one happiness in life—to love and be loved. ~ George Sands

Love is one of the essential things that all humans need to sustain us, and to make life worthwhile. What is the heart chakra for, if not to give and receive love? We need to make ourselves magnetic to love.

Did you know that we attract what we energetically put out to the Universe, and we also receive love in direct correlation to the amount we feel that we deserve?

Today’s blog post is about getting ready to love – outlining the practical steps that you can take to attract or improve and keep real love within your life. Love for yourself, love for and from others.  Tomorrow we will look at how to attract new love relationships, soul mates and life partners.

Start with yourself

The World mirrors back to us what we energetically put out.  It is impossible for people to love you, help you or nurture you more than you will allow them to.  As you treat yourself, so will others treat you.  The most fundamental action that you can take to improve your love life is to love yourself first.

Self care.

Take time to really take care of yourself.  Look after your health, your fitness and your appearance.   This sends a message to the Universe, and all those within it, that you value yourself, and that you are worth taking care of, and pride in.  Self care also sends a strong message to others about how to treat you.  Self care is not about the ‘Cult of Youth’ portrayed by the media – all artificial appearances, cosmetic surgery and being something or someone you are not.  Self care is all about maintaining and caretaking your physical and emotional body, in the way that a good tenant takes care of their home and land.

Self nurture.

To nurture something is to shower it with love and care, to protect it from negative influences, and to give it the things that will help it to grow strong and healthy.  In some cases, self nurture is also about allowing yourself the time, space and resources to heal.  Self nurture keeps us interesting to ourselves and others, and is what makes our lives rich and fulfilled.  Following and developing our interests forges a strong sense of self, and that then acts like an internal compass which guides our direction and decisions.  Some tips on self nurture here.

Self worth.

What you believe you are worth is what you will attract into your life.  If you constantly attract relationships that are not fulfilling, you need to go further in examining your own beliefs and motivations.  If you are in a relationship that started off well, but has since deteriorated in the quality of loving, look to how you behave – your input into the relationship, your level of self nurture and care, and your beliefs and actions.  Have you ended up putting yourself last, or settling for second best?  To improve your sense of self worth, practice self care and self nurture!

Sometimes when we move into a new relationship we move our own needs aside to focus our attention on the other person.  This sets a dangerous precedent for future action, where you are in a trap of constantly putting yourself last.  Even when you’re in a great relationship, maintaining self care and self nurture are what will help the great relationship remain great, without paying the ultimate price of sacrificing yourself and your identity in the process.

By practicing a higher level of self care and self nurture you can often rejuvenate an existing relationship and put it back on track.  As you change and raise your own vibration, you will also raise the vibrational level of those around you.

Remember that you cannot look to one relationship to satisfy every need in your life.  You need to take responsibility for choosing work, interests and friends that fulfill you too.  As your life broadens and you become more actively involved in pursuing joy, you may find that your relationship is the one you wanted all along!

Meditation:

Journalling:

Today, create a list of positive words and phrases that describe you.  Start with the words “I am”  and finish with the words “I am love, loving, and lovable.  All is well.”

When things are going wrong….

When you’re at the bottom of the relationship barrel of life, the only way is up!

Remove yourself from harm:  If you’re in a dangerous or damaging relationship emotionally or physically, then find a safe space where you can regroup.  This does not mean having to leave the relationship, (although it ultimately may), but it does mean being adult in your thinking, and honestly examining where you are at.  If this is too hard to do at home, then take yourself off on your own for a walk or a coffee, or go away a few days.  You need to be truthful with yourself.  Parent yourself and ask, “If I were my child, would I be satisfied with this relationship for them?”  If not, think carefully about what to do next.  Perhaps it is something that is broken beyond repair, or that you have outgrown, but quite possibly it may be something you can work at.  Seek help if you find you cannot cope, don’t have the tools to fix the problems yourself, or are not in a space for making sound and safe decisions for yourself.  If the person you are with is involved in activities such as drug and alcohol abuse, or is violent, you must look realistically at the fact that no matter how much you try or how much you love that person, only THEY can change, and only if they want to.  Always put your personal safety and the safety of any children first.

Limit exposure to negative influences:  Clean up your act.  Let go of damaging friendships and demanding situations for which there is no positive trade-off.  Feel your pain rather than numbing it with food, sex, alcohol, drugs or negative company.  It is better to be lonely and with a loving attitude to yourself, than with people who say or do things that have a negative impact upon you and those around you.  Look at your past relationship patterns – do you use language such as “I always choose x,y,z” or “I’m just like my (mother, father, etc) I can never (keep a relationship, pick a good one etc).”  Do you subconsciously choose people who will fail to love or respect you in the way that you deserve, or that mirror damaging relationships from your past, such as other family, friends or parents?

Find positive support:  Seek out the company of positive and supportive relatives or friends.  Try new social circles and activities.  Use tools that uplift you, such as reading positive magazines and books, meditating, working with your Guides, and communicating often with Spirit, Angels and your Guides.  Find or make a spiritual space that is a refuge for you, even if it is a corner of a room or garden.  Bring beauty into your life so that the space around you reflects the changes you want to make within you.

Practice extreme self care:  You know what to do.  Look after yourself and treat yourself kindly and with patience.

♥  Sending YOU Love and Light, from my heart to yours, Nicole xx
