Energies of June 2019

“An awake heart is like a sky that pours light.”
~ Hafiz

Hello, Lovelies!

At the beginning of every month, I discuss the energies and gifts of the month ahead and how we can best use them to make our lives satisfying, meaningful and productive. I also choose a card to support the energies of the month. The deck I am using this year is The Good Tarot by Colette Baron-Reid, and June’s card is 8 of Fire.

June brings energies of growth and transformation.

This month you can build on existing situations, foundations and opportunities, further transforming your life through work and self-belief. You’ll start to see results, and your progress will become visible to others too.

The power of teamwork and of focus can’t be overestimated this month. There are so many choices in front of you now, and you may feel like there are too many choices and that everything is moving past you too fast.

If you feel like that, look for some quiet time amid the bustle and haste. Use nature and meditation to bring you back to calm. Choose just a few things on which to focus.

Let the rest go for now, or delegate it to someone else. And get a team together – people who can help and support you. You’ll go so much further together than trying to get it all done on your own.

June puts an emphasis on your health, healing and wellbeing. Don’t let your health slide at the expense of your dreams and goals. Look at ways to work sustainably and get help wherever you can.

Make sure to get a health check, and to keep on top of all of the habits and choices that let you live your best life.

Leave a little time for celebration this month too. Don’t let everything be everyday ordinary.

You don’t need a reason to celebrate – being alive is enough!

Surround yourself with people who support and uplift you.

Do things that make you feel alive. Celebrate others too. Share the joy around.

Fill your life with colour, love and passion. Trust in the journey and believe in good outcomes.

Morning Healing Meditation Mandalas

“Outside the open window
The morning air is all awash with angels.”
~ Richard Wilbur, Collected Poems, 1943-2004

“The period between four and six in the morning is called the Brahmamuhurta, the Brahmic time, or divine period, and is a very sacred time to meditate. ”
~ Swami Satchidananda, The Yoga Sutras

And now on my travels I find myself in Cebu.

In this corner of the Philippines I still wake each morning at 4am to meditate in my room, after which I go sit on the empty beach for a while to watch the day dawn.

Yesterday morning I decided to make an impromptu crystal mandala to dedicate to the healing and wellbeing of a little girl named Imogen.

It’s a restful and evocative process, to create such a focal point for meditation and healing. I worked with what I had to hand – a stone from my pocket, a bracelet from my wrist, some flowers and leaves from nearby plants.

I enjoyed the process so much that I have decided to make a new healing mandala every day while I am here in Cebu.

Here is Imogen’s mandala. It features a Prehnite, Rutilated Quartz, frangipani and bouganvillea. And a whole lot of love.

By the time you read this post I may have already made this morning’s mandala. But you can be part of tomorrow’s.

Tomorrow I will be meditating on healing of childhood hurts, old family pain and ongoing issues, self-worth issues, insecurities and damaging or limiting stories imposed upon you by others. I’ll also be working on your base chakra, heart health and emotional security. If you’d like to be specifically included please add your name below or over on our facebook page.

Much love, Nicole <3 xoxo

A sneak peak at Day One…

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
~ Mother Teresa

“Pull up a chair. Take a taste. Come join us. Life is so endlessly delicious.”

The picture at the top of this post is a rather large crystal mandala, made by the participants of our retreat as part of an activity on day one.

The intention within this grid is to send healing to the group, to humanity, and to our Great Mother – the planet we call home.

There are many shells and crystals within the mandala, as well as a number of woven wool friendship bracelets. At the retreat’s end, when we take down the mandala, everyone will take away one of those friendship bracelets full of that good grid energy – as a little reminder of our friendship, community and time together, and of the support available to us through this group.

I also enjoyed some time wandering through the extensive gardens here at Sangsurya at the beginning and end of the day, taking some time in nature for peacefulness and reconnection.

I’ll finish this quick update with a few pictures:

Unpacking the ute up at the hall, with views out over the silvery ocean. Such a magical way to start my day.

2014-11-29 19.21.48 You might not be able to join us on retreat this year, but there is something nourishing you can do for yourself, and it’s free.

My good friend Holly Bretschneider is running a 3-for-33 Gratitude Challenge, where you can list three things for which you’re grateful, every day between now and the New Year, to put you into a wonderful, expansive and allowing mindset for 2015.

If you’d like to join in, go here for more details:
