My Magical Magnolia Owl Tree

“Have you ever looked at the bud of a magnolia flower? It’s a tight little pod that stays closed up for a long time on the end of its branch until one day, out of nowhere, it finally bursts open into this gigantic, gorgeous, fragrant flower that’s ten times bigger than the bud itself. It’s impossible to imagine that such a big beautiful thing could pop out of that tiny little bud. But it does.”
~  Joanna Gaines

We have a magnolia tree here at the farm that sits on a little mound of moss and soft grass in the back garden.

The tree is small, and right now it is covered in tiny furry buds that will open up to dinner-plate sized flowers that are so impossibly fragrant that I swoon for days over their beauty.

This magnolia is also a favourite night-time perch for owl visitors. I have never understood why they prefer this tree to others, except that the tree and the area around it have amazing energy and maybe the owls sense that too.

Right now I’m charging up a crystal grid under the magnolia. The stones have been there since January, soaking up the full moons and the lunar eclipse, the starlight and thunderstorms, the raging sun and the peaceful rain. They are almost buried in the soft thick grass now and scattered with leaves and fallen flowers.

Two more weeks and I’ll break the grid down, taking out some of the stones for the participants on my two retreats this year.

I know these stones will hold the energy of our farm, of the owls and the magpies and crows and fairy wrens and finches who have perched above or hopped through the stones too.

Our magnolia is also festooned with a harmonic wind-chime, and hand-crafted wooden owls and hearts – all gifts from dear and precious friends.

I’m feeling very peaceful this morning as I tend to the grid. I hope you can feel some of that peace too. Go gently today, and look after yourselves and each other,

All my love, Nicole  xx

Waves, Quiet, Prayers and Stones

Have you ever heard the wonderful silence just before the dawn? Or the quiet and calm just as a storm ends? Or perhaps you know the silence when you haven’t the answer to a question you’ve been asked, or the hush of a country road at night, or the expectant pause of a room full of people when someone is just about to speak, or, most beautiful of all, the moment after the door closes and you’re alone in the whole house? Each one is different, you know, and all very beautiful if you listen carefully.”  ~ Norton Juster

Hello, Lovelies!

I’ve been deeply moved by the emails and messages you’ve sent me, and the sharing you’ve made in response to my last two blog posts.

Just Tell One Person…
Chronic Illness? This is a Spiritual Retreat for you!

As I sat with the weight of your stories yesterday I spent time alone on the hill behind our farm in the bright sunshine, thinking about you all and our shared experiences and emotions, and then again I thought of you as I sat by the sea while the shadows grew long in the afternoon.

As the day drew to a close I began a crystal grid for you, to hold space for your unfolding, your healing and your soul journey.

I crafted the grid to help you come back to your own inner wisdom, to a sense of peace and belonging. And I infused every stone with love.

Tomorrow I’ll write more about what’s in my heart right now. Until then know that you are seen and heard, and deeply loved.
Bless. Nicole ❤ xx

Here You Are On Our Retreat Grid!

“My father used to say that stories are part of the most precious heritage of mankind.”
~  Tahir Shah

As promised, here is a picture of our crystal grid here at retreat, which is very much still a work in progress.

This grid sits in the centre of our hall, on my Nana’s round lace tablecloth (it is nearly one hundred years old and was crocheted by Gran Heppell, Nana’s mum, for my Nan’s Glory Box. When I was fourteen Nana gave it to me.)

Each day we have added stones, starting with a massive Amethyst Light Library Point, and then an Elestial and a Lemurian Double terminated milky quartz, some raw rose quartz and amethyst. Later we added quartz points, raw black tourmaline, tumbled quartz, rose quartz, tourmaline in quartz, selenite, citrine, blue howlite and amazonite.

With each addition to the grid we have meditated and added energy to the stones. For every stone that represents a person or family myself or one of my students has held that stone, charged it with Light, programmed your names and our intentions into the stone, and then placed that stone in the grid with much love. If you stood here with us now, feeling this grid, you’d swoon with the overwhelming energy of it all.

My intention for this particular grid is that it allow all participants to step further and further into clarity, flow, purpose and clear life direction for 2018, supported by healthy self-esteem, intuition and life choices. I intend for the grid participants to move into abundance, in a way that magnetises them to the right relationships, opportunities and situations for their happiness and highest good. Essentially it’s a grid to help you grow, become more intuitive and emotionally satisfied, and to realise more of your full potential.

*Update: The grid is now concluded, and we thank you for taking part. All people who asked were added to the grid, and we also programmed a stone for all the YOMMERS (Year of ME Program) and one for all of our Cauldrons and Cupcakes crew – so be assured you were included!

Much love, Nicole  xx

The Crystal Farmer of Byron Bay

“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant.” ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

We live on an organic farm, tucked in the hills behind Byron Bay. Our main focus is organic heritage citrus, beef cattle and bush tucker (Bunya nuts and herbs). But we have come to do a very good additional line of earthed and energetically charged crystals.

Our land holds an abundance of ancient trees and wildlife, and expanses of soft green grass and leaf litter where it is possible for me to lay stones out on the earth beneath these trees, or under open skies or where the various animals (eagles, koalas, platypus, wallabies, powerful owls etc) make their homes.

Neighbours have laughingly begun to call me a crystal farmer because I always seem to be planting or harvesting stones as I charge them up for my retreats and workshops.

In the giant shed where Ben houses his tractors I have row upon row of pallet racking, in which there are all of my boxes of stones. The boxes and crates are carefully marked. I have stones that have been in grids through such varied astrological events as the Mars, Saturn, Mercury Venus and Jupiter alignment of 2000 (this was on another farm, under wide open skies and nights crowded with stars) the 2012 Transit of Venus, the total solar eclipse of 2012, a partial solar eclipse in 2014, the transit of Mercury in 2016 and many supermoons and comet showers.

I also have crates for stones that have been in grids such as my 2016 Ancestors and Songlines grid, as well as stones that have been charged with the energies of plants, places and weather.

To do this energetic charging I lay out crystals on the earth (mostly – sometimes I place individual in trees or even in our creeks and waterholes) in various patterns that conform to the principles of sacred geometry, after which I leave them for a prescribed period of time.

Later I go back to harvest them, digging them out of the earth or from between the grass where it has grown long. All the crystals are then cleaned and placed into storage, ready for use.

I even charge up the stones we use in jewellery and mandala making.

Sometimes I play my Tibetan Singing Bowl over them, or I will tone and sing the songs my Aboriginal Aunties or other elders have taught me.

Eventually we harvest the stones. If the grid is very big I will often call upon Ben and our friends or neighbours to assist with bringing up the stones for me to clean and sort. It’s a lot of work, but once they are harvested and stored away they maintain that energy, ready for use at some future date.

Now we have our Crystal retreat, our mini-retreat and workshop, and our Christmas pop up shop and events coming up, as well as the Crystal Packs for our 2018 Year of ME Planner, we’ve been down in the shed for days, sorting and gathering and allocating stones. I’m bringing out some rare and precious ones for my students, and a few for sale.

And already I am planning a gigantic spiral grid of stones for the total lunar eclipse on January 31 in 2018.

So I guess it’s true – I’m a crystal farmer. I like to think of my harvested stones as the seeds that will help you to grow as you seek your own inner space, soul connection and intuitive path.

We’d love to see you at any of our events, or as part of our growing community of like-minded souls in 2018. You can click on the links to view our events for the remainder of this year. Information about our online community and 2018 courses will be available soon. As well as our community and year-long course and support we have an Awakening to Spirituality retreat for waking up your psychic and intuitive abilities in March 2018, and Advanced Channelling and Energy Techniques using Sacred Geometry in August 2018 – contact my wonderful PA Dana to put your name down on the list to receive more info about those on our pre-release list – she’s at nicolecodyinfo@gmail.com

I’m really excited to share this journey with you, and I hope that one day you get to hold one of these special stones.

Sending so much love your way, Nicole  xx

Circles of Stones

“I live my life in growing orbits which move out over this wondrous world, I am circling around God, around ancient towers and I have been circling for a thousand years. And I still don’t know if I am an eagle or a storm or a great song.”
~  Rainer Maria Rilke

Yesterday, one year ago, I was placing stones in a crystal grid under the magnolia tree in the back yard, in preparation for a retreat.

Strange then that I found myself making circles of stones again yesterday.

I made a grid to hold the stones we will use at my September meditation retreat, Temple of Light. (There are still a few places left if you’d like to join us, but be quick – it’s almost full. More details here.)

Crafting the grid  brought me to a place of deep peace. But I still felt as if something was undone within me.

Then, finally, I knew what I wanted to do.

I lost a friend this week – Justine – a woman who was a healer and a teacher, a woman full of love and light. Like a stone her loss weighed heavily within me.

Carefully I chose some crystals. I circled stones and then circled some more. I sang energy and love into them. I sang my sorrow and my grief. I laid stones to honour my friend’s journey. I made space to support her loved ones. I made space that connected my heart to hers.

This is what I know to be true…

The earth turns. The sun shines. The rain falls down. The night comes. My breath moves in and out of my body. The earth turns, the sun shines, the rain falls down, the night comes. We are born, we live a while and then we die.

I am reminded at every turn that our lives are precious gifts, loaned to us only for a while.

The best we can ever do is follow our hearts.

I’m holding space in my circle of stones for you today – that you find a path that supports you and lights you up, that you find a way to honour your own heart’s yearnings.

Thanks for sharing the journey with me. I’m glad to have you here beside me.

Nicole xoxo
