Getting Ready for February!

“Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans.”
~ Peter F. Drucker

“We are made to persist.
that’s how we find out who we are.”
~ Tobias Wolff

Hello Lovelies!

February is nearly upon us, and I promised that I would support you in making the most of this year’s opportunities, so here’s a quick Heads Up about the month ahead, as well as a few suggestions for embracing all that February has to offer.

Card for the Month:

I’ve chosen a card for February for you, from the Osho Zen Tarot Deck.

The message of this card is all about action. You’re being asked to leap. To do the thing that scares you. And you’re being reminded to trust.

If we create plans, and then never put energy towards those plans, the plans will remain pictures in our heads. They’ll be wishes. Nothing more.

February is reminding us that to live the life we love, or to move towards that life, we need to actively seek that life. We need to set our course and deliberately and consciously move in that direction.

This is a month for helpful people, for new ideas, for finding the perfect course or book or teacher for yourself or your loved ones. It’s a great energy for making a start and for small steps that will gather momentum throughout the year.

February is also a FANTASTIC month for writing and creating. If you’ve ever wanted to write a book, a blog, a course, a poem, a love letter, a journal, a thesis. If you’ve wanted to start a project, make a baby, knit a jumper, build that garden, then February is a grand month to begin, and then to build on those beginnings.

There is one other thing that February is reminding you to do…

You need to fill your tank. Do that by ensuring you get some good-quality rest and relaxation. And do some of the things you love – that nurture and inspire and support you.

February needs a rhythm of work and play, create and pause, run and then rest.

Can you feel that?

It’s like the energy of the rolling waves upon the ocean. Crest and then calm. Crest and then calm. Crest and then calm.

In February, I’m encouraging you to ride the wave. You can do it! Let it be joyful. Let it be playful. Relax into it. There’s no need to push, or to struggle.

This video, shot in my hometown of Byron Bay, captures perfectly the energy of February.

Need some extra encouragement, support or inspiration?

The Unworthiness Issue OR Why am I freaking out when things are finally going so well?

Image from Klopp

Image from Klopp

“It seemed so natural, receiving it, watching others receive it, assuming that the approval of others determined our worth. Then one day we found we couldn’t feel any worth without it. We’d forgotten that we were gifted in ways unimaginable, created with a unique purpose like no other, that people are hurting, that we beat that same hurt and we can help them. There is no one as valuable as you. Unlearn that old lie.”
~ Lee Goff

A client rang me in tears recently. She’s in the entertainment industry, and in the past few years her life has changed radically. In a good way. She has an agent, contracts, a tour. After years of obscurity she is doing so well.

So why the tears? She found herself in a luxury foreign hotel, hoarding the soaps, tiny bottles of shampoo and shower caps. Her suitcase was stuffed full with them. She confessed that deep down she’s expecting the ride to end at any second. Right as she’s in production of another album. Right as her sales are going through the roof. Right as she’s finally got a team of people who believe in her and who are carefully and wisely managing her and her career.

Image from Elliot

Image from Elliot

And then there’s the woman who has turned her life around. She’s kicked the loser boyfriends to the kerb, ended years of battles with various addictions and co-dependency and her life is wonderfully on track. Now she’s manifested this great new man. A really fabulous new man. He has his life together, he adores her, he wants her in his life and he doesn’t mind how long she takes to get used to that idea. She wants it too, with all her heart. But she’s terrified, and she told me she doesn’t know what to do…

What do both of these women, and countless of my other clients and friends, have in common?

Deep-seated unworthiness issues.

Those issues might have been patently apparent at one time in their lives. Back when things really WERE bad. When they were in abusive relationships, caught in addiction, broke, starving, homeless, going nowhere or any of the other very visible outward signs of things not being right.

They will even put their hands up now and own how bad it was. “Yes, that was me, Nicole. I was a mess. I was broken. I was making bad choices. Nothing was going right…”

Or maybe they lived with broken and messed up. Or were parented by broken and messed up.

Then they pulled themselves up by their boot straps. They got help or wised up and sorted things out. They started making better choices, and got rid of or distanced themselves from the broken and the messed-up.

They could look themselves and the world in the eye and say “I’ve changed.” Or they could look the world in the eye and say “that other shame/person/situation does not  or no longer defines me”. Which is the same thing.

But is it true?

The litmus test for anyone’s self-worth isn’t how we cope with the hard stuff. Both of these women, and most of the other people I know in similar situations, KNOW how to cope with the hard stuff. Another ratbag boyfriend comes along, they recognise the signs and boot him to the kerb. Begin to get addicted to some new thing. See the pattern. Break the pattern and come back to a place of healthy managing again.

It might not look like it once your life gets to a better place, but it’s still shades of the same thing. I used to be broken and messed up. I lived with broken and messed up. Now I know how to recognise and deal with broken and messed up. And there’s the problem.

I still only know how to work and live along the spectrum of broken and messed up. I have the skill set to thrive in attracting and then avoiding or managing various degrees of some aspect of my life always being out of balance. How will I cope and succeed if the rules change and everything starts going my way? I don’t trust myself in that unfamiliar environment, even though it’s what I want for myself.

Why? Part of me is still very uncomfortable with the whole concept of worthiness. I don’t know HOW to sit in the allowing of life becoming better and better, with my personal and professional relationships actually being functional and healthy. I don’t know how to be in flow. Flow is terrifying. Everything going right for me is terrifying. Because I only know broken and messed up, and that territory is safe and familiar and I can shine there. If I’m fighting broken and messed up, and I’m beating it, then I must be worthy, right? I’m earning that worthiness.

I don’t know how to shine when it’s all going my way. It makes me uneasy. I don’t know the rules. I can’t control this new space. Therefore I keep looking over my shoulder waiting for something to go wrong. I’m much more at ease in dealing with things going wrong and then pulling myself up by my bootstraps. It’s what I do. It’s what other people know and respect/admire/value/ me for too. Being a fighter and a hard worker and a survivor has shaped who I am.

In fact, I can get SO panicked and uncomfortable with this feeling of ease and flow that I will find a way to sabotage myself back into a little of that broken-ness because that’s where I feel safe.

When we have a self-worth issue, we put the speed brake on ourselves. We do anything we can to slow down our acceleration into that better place, and often we don’t even realise that we’re doing it.

We limit ourselves. We talk ourselves down from that scary high place. We come back to a level that feels more manageable.

What I want to encourage you about today is expansion. I want you to embrace standing in that place where the view is unfamiliar, and to be brave enough not to turn around and run.

When we’re growing and moving forward it will always feel uncomfortable to start with. And you’ve already been here when you’ve made smaller positive changes in the past. What you’re starting to get now is momentum. With momentum everything happens faster. We attract more synchronicities, opportunities, good relationships, sound ideas.

The speed of the positive change can feel a little or a lot overwhelming. We will always grow out of our comfort zone, adjust, get cosy, and then expand and start the process over again.

Give your self-worth time to catch up. Trust that you were born worthy, and that better and better can happen for you if you are open to allowing that energy into your life.

Stop worrying about fear of failure, fear of success, letting others down, letting yourself down, being ready or whatever other story you keep telling yourself.

Instead, practice awareness. Be present. Stay in the moment rather than clinging to the past or projecting too far into the future.

In the moment, our situation is always manageable. One breath at a time. One positive moment at a time. One bright new possibility at a time.

I have so much faith in you. You can do this!

Much love to you,  ♥ Nicole xx

Create Positive Change Program – Week 6

“When a person really desires something, all the universe conspires to help that person to realize his dream.”~ Paulo Coelho

2013 and 2014 are years for inviting and creating powerful positive change in our lives. And knowing that, there’s a decision to be made…

Do I actively seek change and open myself to these energies, or do I remain closed and passively let life keep happening to me?

If you’re working through this program, you’ve already made that decision. YOU are aligning yourself with these energies and you WILL invoke and create change.

When we recognize our desire for a new way of being, and we begin to work with and practice that commitment out in the world, it’s amazing how the Universe musters to our aid. We live in a complex interconnected energetic system, and our thinking and actions magnetize us to attracting more of whatever it is that we are thinking about and focusing on.

This week we’re going to make deliberate use of that assistance by putting our attention on who can help us, and what tools we already have, or might to add to our toolkit!

Count Your Blessings!

Your Blessings Book should be filling up nicely by now. Are you noticing any themes, any particular people, places or things that regularly give you pleasure and joy? What’s recharging you and filling your soul with gratitude?

Recording the small and simple blessings and the incredible moments in our day reminds us of the positive energy already present in our lives.  As we focus on this positive feel-good energy, we attract more of these moments and blessings into our lives.

Once again, this week write down three blessings in your life every day – three simple things for which you are grateful. Counting our blessings puts us into a more receptive and abundant state of mind.

Write them like this: Today I am thankful for (the blessing) because (write down a simple reason). eg: Today I am grateful for soft green grass beneath my feet, because I live in a lush and vibrant place and walking on the earth makes me feel grounded and nurtured.

AnExtrarodinaryDay.net-Birches-in-the-woods-John-Muir-quote-about-Nature

Affirm the Positive!

Take your rock from Week Five and thank it. Write the Affirmation you used in your Blessings Book. You can now place the fifth rock beside your bed or somewhere where you’ll see it often.

Select the sixth rock from the eight you selected at the start of this course. This is your sixth Affirmation Stone. Carry it around with you, or place it somewhere where you can see and hold it every day.

Hold this sixth stone in your hands. Now think of something else in your life that you want to change. This week we’re focusing on what we want to ATTRACT. Affirm that as a statement of declaration to the Universe.

Be bold and creative with this. It doesn’t matter how big or small your desire for attraction is.

State it like this: I now attract ______.

But…

Yeah, you knew there’d be a but!

And here it is: When you affirm this declaration, you must be able to feel in your heart that it is possible so that you connect with the integrity and possibility of the statement. If you can do that, you’ll be creating powerful magic. But if you can’t you’ll actually be making yourself anti-magnetic to that thing!

Let me show you a simple way to see if you’re on track with this week’s affirmation:

Lets just suppose that your desire is to create more money in your life. So your first affirmation is

I now attract a massive Gold Lotto Win.

Image from news.com.au

Image from news.com.au

Say that affirmation out loud and then immediately tune in to your heart. What’s going on there? Can you truly visualise that happening? Can that statement be real for you? If that voice inside you is saying, ‘Oh sure – like that’s ever going to happen!’, if you’re feeling wriggly and stupid and uncomfortable, or like an outright fraud? Well, they’re pretty clear indications that you are NOT aligned with this statement and you’re out of integrity with it. So the message you’re actually putting out into the Universe is more like this:

I am so unworthy of financial gain. I am comfortable with lack.

And you know what? The Universe always delivers…

If money’s what you need, then find another way to express that which fits more comfortably with your current belief structure. Maybe something like this:

I now attract increased cash flow. Abundance comes to me in small and surprising ways.

This is one I’ve personally used, and it has served me well. Note the little modifier I put on the end of my affirmation. At the time I was so broke, so on struggle street that it seemed implausible and impossible for my fortunes to suddenly change. (even now I want to reach back in time and give that insecure low-self-esteem me a big hug!) Back then I could never see me winning lotto! But little extra bits of money and abundance? Yes, I could be comfortable with that.

Do you know what happened when I used that affirmation? I got an unexpected refund on an item, my phone company told me they’d overcharged me and gave me a credit towards my next bill, I found twenty dollars in a pants pocket, and then, most surprisingly of all, I found $800 in fifty dollar bills just blowing along a main road when I went for a walk one really early morning. When I rang to report it to the police, they told me to keep the money as ownership would be impossible to prove.

So, the big thing I want you to really understand here is the importance of choosing an affirmation that your heart feels ready for, excited about and in tune with!

Image from Decatur CD

Each day hold your affirmation stone in your hands and repeat the declaration, out loud, or in your mind. You can do this just once, or as many times as you like. Say your declaration with enthusiasm and commitment. Put lots of energy into the words I NOW ATTRACT. Feel yourself aligning to the vibration of this new energy in your life.

Get excited!

Using your Gratitude Rock

Each night this week work with the energy of this special stone. As you hold your stone tonight say to yourself I am richly Blessed. I have an Abundance of Good in my life.  Then hold in your mind one or more image of a thing you have been grateful for today.  It doesn’t matter if you review your Blessings from your Blessing Book, or add in something new.  Swell that positive energy up in your heart like a beautiful golden light, and give a heart-felt Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to the Universe. Visualise a tiny shower of golden light travelling from your heart into your Gratitude Rock.

Now imagine all of the other people who are taking part in this Positive Change Program with us – people from all over the world, just like you. Once again build up a strong positive energy in your heart, and then imagine shooting a stream of golden light out into the Universe to those people. Each of us benefits for the love and support we share, and we grow stronger and more open and connected.

Say Thank you.  I Bless You.  I intend for you Positive Change, Love, Miracles and Abundance. Know that as you are saying this for them, they are also saying this for you. Feel that connection and gratitude and know that there is real love and support for you here. Place your rock back beside your bed, and close your eyes, cocooned in this good energy. Know that you ARE making positive change in the world, and in your life, and helping others to do the same.

Homework:

Find half an hour in your week, sit down with your journal and get comfy.

Review the shortlist of changes you want to create that you wrote down last week.

Then ask yourself the following two questions for each point:

  1. Who can help me?
  2. What do I already have in my toolkit that I can start using now?

Who can help me? This could be a course, a coach, a mentor, a friend, your partner, an on-line forum or a book, just to name a few.

What do you already have in your toolkit? Maybe you’ve completed some study, or gained experience, or made a start. Perhaps you already have the camera, the computer, the fabric, the art material, the bare patch of garden, a relationship that can be built upon.

Start to appreciate what you have in your life to use as a starting point, and be aware of what else you need so that you can begin to draw those people and energies into your life.

When you begin to become an active participant in the change process, all sorts of breakthroughs and synchronicities begin to occur.

Wishing you a week of insights, connections and magic. Have courage and belief in yourself and your dreams. This change you desire is entirely possible, especially when you become a willing co-creator of your own destiny. Don’t put it off. Now is the time!

Lots of love, Nicole xx

There’s a Change in the Air…

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
~ Barack Obama

Can you feel it?

There’s great shift coming. Great change.

There’s nothing you need to do, if you choose to stay where you are. If you want your life to keep looking like it always has. If you want tomorrow to look like yesterday.

But, if you are ready for change, or even if you’re just prepared to contemplate it, then this energy that’s coming will help you to shape a new tomorrow.

Image from Dream Culture

Image from Dream Culture

If you want to, you can ride this energy of change. You can choose – in this moment – to make fresh choices, new decisions, take a different direction, start something, end something, begin again.

Take some time to consider your life. Aren’t you ready for this shift? Aren’t you ready for something other than what you have right now?

The whole Universe is conspiring towards your success.

If I had one piece of advice for you today, it would be this:

Let go of the past.

Look forward.

Dream boldly.

Believe that it’s possible.

And in any way you can, begin!

Making My Life Work for Me – Week 6

Image from www.itsallaboutwomen.com

Image from www.itsallaboutwomen.com

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” ~ Harriet Tubman

Welcome to the final week of our six week Making My Life Work for Me Program. (If you’ve only just joined us, you might like to pop back and read the very first post so you can gather the materials we’ll be using today and catch up on all our prior activities.)

Our focus this week is on putting it all together – now that we’ve been journalling and collaging and visualising, it’s time to get a plan! Change and progress come from action.

Instructions:

We have followed the same format each week.  Read through this entire post before you get started. You can do the activities all on one day, or spread them put over the week – whatever works best for you.

Meditation:

This week’s meditation exercise is a simple walking meditation.

To start hold your crystal or place it in your pocket, draping your scarf or shawl around you. Then step outside and go for a walk.  It doesn’t matter where you walk, although walks in nature are wonderful.  What is important is the sense of movement, and being able to empty your mind and simply enjoy observing your surroundings.

Remember this technique:

Breathe, and look around me. Breathe and put one foot in front of the other. Breathe and be aware of my body and my surroundings. Breathing and walking and being aware.

Set aside ten minutes for this, although you can take longer if you have the time or are enjoying yourself.

If it is not possible for you to walk, then close your eyes and take a walk in your imagination.  It will have the same effect.

AnExtrarodinaryDay.net-Birches-in-the-woods-John-Muir-quote-about-Nature

Visualisation:

Do this straight after your meditation, when you are ready and open for receiving! Close your eyes and use your imagination. See yourself the way you want yourself to be in the world.  See yourself in a space of calm, filled with certainty and enthusiasm.  See yourself as healthy.  See yourself as happy. See yourself having the life you desire, in as much detail as possible.  Really put some energy into this.  You can repeat this step again this week (even daily) if it feels right.  Thoughts are things, and this is how you manifest in the Universe!

creating myself

Using Your Journal:

Go back to the front of your journal and read your Pledge out loud one more time.

Then turn to the next blank pages, and write the following Positioning Statement, and sign it. When it’s written, repeat it out loud, with as much sincerity as you can muster. That way the Universe is put on notice of your intentions:

Dear Universe,

I am grateful for the clarity, direction and inspiration I have received so far.

I am ready to begin creating a life for myself that is satisfying and richly meaningful a life that reflects my values, and that best uses my talents and gifts.

I am ready to embrace positive change and to accept an avalanche of good in my life.

My commitment to you is that I will create a plan, and take consistent small steps in the direction of my dreams.

I am open to Divine Inspiration, Higher Guidance, Magic and Miracles.  I am open to Breakthroughs, New Opportunities and Helpful People.

I am excited about co-creating a brighter future for myself and the ones I love.

With love and gratitude,

Get creative! Use your paints, coloured pens, glitter and stickers to make your Positioning Statement and your journal visually attractive.

Card of the Week:

2013-03-24 16.30.18Let’s start our week by selecting some reflective spiritual Guidance.  Take your deck of positive cards, or your rune bag.  Close you eyes and offer up a prayer for the Highest Good, and then quiet your mind.

Randomly select a card/rune, trusting that it will have a message to guide you this week.  Write down the name of the card/rune and the message.  Feel free to add any additional thoughts or insights you might have.

The final card I’ve chosen for us is all about the magic of thinking big – it encourages us to dream, and reminds us that there are powerful forces in the world which come together to support us as we move in the direction of our dreams.

2013-04-28 17.58.09

2013-04-28 17.58.27

This week, give yourself permission to dream of that brighter future.  Actively look for ways to bring more of the energies of positive change into your life.

Week 6 Journal Activity:

This week use your stream of consciousness around the question Where to from here? Stay open to whatever you write down, and don’t censor or judge anything as it pours out onto the page. Draw pictures or mind map if you feel like it.

And this week’s creative activity is:

Collage – The Best of Everything  This collage will help you to clarify the essence of what your heart desires.

Take your pile of old magazines and place them in front of you.  Holding your crystal close your eyes and say out loud “Universe, I am open to all Guidance and my own Higher Wisdom.  I know that I am worthy and deserving.  From this place of self love and self worth, show me what I most value and enjoy.”  Take a moment and sit in that energy, really feeling yourself connecting into and opening to all that your soul desires.

When you’re ready, open your eyes and start flicking through the magazines.  If any pictures or words appeal to you, cut or rip them out and place them beside you. When you have enough images cut them up neatly.

Place the images in your journal, laying them out so that you feel good when you look at them. Allow yourself to be excited!

If your journal isn’t big enough, feel free to use a sheet of cardboard. Glue your images to the page and leave it open to dry.

Pulling It All Together:

In the coming days and weeks, go back over your journal.  Take a highlighter, and look for all of the positive, inspiring and directional words and phrases you have included on these pages.

Look for repetitions of images, words and themes.

Look for words and images that strike a powerful emotional chord within you.

Look for the messages from your Soul to your Conscious Mind.

Write down a list of those themes and messages.

Now pick just three.

Choose one, and find a way to begin to bring that energy into your life.

When it has begun to appear, then begin on the second.  When that energy has also appeared in your life, begin on the third.

If it moves you, go back and do this process again.

Change comes from small consistent steps in the direction of our dreams. And small steps often travel us great distances…

Gratitude:

What’s already working in your life?  List five things in your journal each day that you are grateful for in your life.

Nightly Healing :

Get into bed and spend five minutes lying quietly in meditation with your eyes closed.  Call on God, Universal Energy, your Angels, your Guides, your Ancestors, whomever you feel comfortable and safe with.  Ask for their help.  Fill your body with white light, and then draw coloured light (just allow a colour to come to you) through your crown chakra (an energy point on the top of your head) and send it anywhere in your body that needs healing.  Feel the warmth as the energy radiates through your body, uplifting and healing you.  Know that answers will come while you are sleeping.

Give thanks, send this same healing gift from you to anyone or anywhere else if it feels right, and then sleep.  Expect dreams that clarify, empower and enlighten.

2013-04-12 16.46.07

Thank you so much for taking part in this project. I trust that you can find ways to keep moving yourself in the right direction, so that your life works better and feels better for you!

Much love to you, Nicole ♥ xx

Do you really need to start with a Grand Gesture?

Image from www.hiola.tk

Image from www.hiola.tk

“You just have to keep on doing what you do. It’s the lesson I get from my husband; he just says, Keep going. Start by starting.”~ Meryl Streep

Is there something you really want to do? Is there a dream or a goal, a vision you hold for the future?

Maybe you want to be a published writer, maybe you want to be a healer, or an architect, maybe you’d like to be lean and toned, or perhaps your dream is to travel through France, speaking fluent french and soaking up the lifestyle…

Well, my advice is this: don’t wait for things to be perfect, start small, but most importantly just get started!

I see so many people fail to take off because they put too much effort into a grand gesture – letting the world know that they are here, talking things up, making things look good – and not enough effort into actually doing the thing.

If you want to be a healer, just start.  Maybe you need to do a course.  Or maybe you’ve done the course, and now you need to work with people. You don’t need fancy business cards and a room in some swank practice. Just start where you are. In your home. At a friend’s. Let it grow organically.

Do you really need to spend thousands of dollars on a flash new computer and all the latest software in order to write your best-selling first novel? Perhaps the old computer, a notebook and a pen, and a good back-up system will work fine for now.

2012-05-17 07.34.52No matter what your dream, a grand gesture is not needed. In fact, that grand gesture may steal so much enthusiasm and momentum from you, or so overwhelm and intimidate you that you never really begin.

Almost every great business, every victory or success, started from humble beginnings. Don’t be afraid to start small.  The only thing that matters is that you are brave enough to begin! The Universe inspired YOU for a reason. So why not start? Who knows where this might take you. And when you start small, there’s no pressure. Instead there is possibility, stretching far out in front of you…

I’m standing on the sideline, cheering you on. Bless ♥♥♥

“I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning. ”

I know the calendar says that we’re already into February, but from an energetic point of view today, 2nd February, is really the very first day of 2013. (Read more about the energy of 2013 by clicking here.)

It’s an unusually quiet morning down at my farm, and the air is thick with fragrant smoke from all the burning piles of green vegetation knocked down during last week’s storms.  It smells a little like a giant incense stick burning, so I consider 2013 well smudged into being.

Today is a beautiful day for some quiet reflection and journalling to set the tone for your year ahead. I’ve also prepared a short guided meditation for you to help you focus your thoughts and energies.

Guided Meditation

This 7 minute meditation will help you to step into the vibration of this new year.  It was recorded at my farm at dawn this morning, so you’ll also hear the cacophony of frogs, birds, cows, baby magpies and hungy owl chicks. They’re adding their special energies to this meditation too.  To listen, all you need to do is click on the link below:

Day 8 – Gratitude Challenge

Image from runthepath.com

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”

~ Innerspace

Congratulations! You’ve completed your first full week of gratitude. Well done. ♥  You are gently retraining your brain to remove resistance to flow, and installing habits of appreciation and abundant thinking.

We are all looking for greater flow in our lives. When we are in ‘flow’ life just works, somehow.  We find the right job, the money is there, we have love and music and contentment in our hearts. When we are in flow doors open… miracles happen… life just feels good.

The greatest obstacle to flow is resistance. Resistance isn’t something external to us. It is our internal dialogue.  I’m sure you know what I mean.  That thing we do where our head gets filled with grumbles and complaints:

Not fair.  Too hard.  No fun.  Not enough.  Not worthy. Too much money.  Not enough money.  Too fat. Not smart. How come she gets that? How come he got that? When’s it my turn?  It’s never my turn. I’m an idiot. I can’t believe I did that. I don’t deserve that. That good thing will never happen for me.

Can you feel how anti-magnetic those kind of thoughts are to the good stuff?

Can you feel how magnetic these thoughts are to more cranky, miserable and impoverished kinds of events, relationships and outcomes?

The antidote to resistance is…

Yes, you know what I’m going to say…

Finding an attitude of gratitude.

When we can find something to be grateful for, no matter how difficult our current circumstances, we begin to ease ourselves out of that struggle energy and back into flow.

So let’s get into that affirming energy that allows us to move from flow to allowing, by counting our Blessings.

Daily Gratitude Practice – Count Our Blessings and Use our Gratitude Rock

If you need a detailed reminder of the process, you can review it here in Day 1 of the Gratitude Challenge.

  1. List five Blessings in your journal, explaining why you are grateful for each one.
  2. Count your Blessings off on your fingers, summoning positive emotion and saying Thank You from your heart for each one.
  3. Tonight before you go to sleep, hold your Gratitude Rock and affirm I am richly Blessed. I have an Abundance of Good in my life. Visualise one thing you have been grateful for today. Swell that positive energy up in your heart like a beautiful golden light, and give a heart-felt Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to the Universe, then imagine a tiny shower of golden light travelling from your heart into your Gratitude Rock.
  4. Still holding your Gratitude Rock, bless your fellow travellers on this Gratitude Journey by sending them golden light, and saying Thank you.  I Bless You.  I intend for you Love, Miracles and Abundance. Know that as you are saying this for them, they are also saying this for you. Feel that connection and gratitude and know that there is real love and support for you here. Place your rock back beside your bed, and go to sleep, cocooned in this good energy.

If all you do each day is these first four steps, know that is enough.

If you feel especially flat, then carry your Gratitude Rock with you, or lie/sit in bed at the start or end of the day, and hold it over your heart so that its energy can recharge you.

If you have an abundance of gratitude and feel-good energy, send some extra to your fellow travellers on this journey, with the intent to uplift those who need it. You can do this as easily as closing your eyes and imagining or intending it be so.

The beautiful thing about this challenge is that we are all in this together, helping and energising each other, and amplifying our collective energy.

Are you ready to dissolve more resistance?  If your answer is yes, then join me for today’s additional Challenge:

I’m So Happy For You, and Thankful for Your Success!

Think of something you really want.  It could be a soul mate, a great promotion, a publishing contract, a gold medal…

It’s okay that you don’t have it yet. Someone else does.  And their having it proves that it’s also possible for you to have it.  The energy of their success is something you can draw to you and make your own, because gratitude amplifies the energy of what we are thankful for and creates it in our own lives.

Today, think of something you really want. Then think of someone who has it already.

Maybe you want a loving and lasting relationship, and your grandparents still hold hands and adore each other after 50 years of marriage. Hold a picture of them, and of their beautiful relationship in your mind. Swell your heart with feel-good emotion and gratitude for their loving relationship.  Then say “I’m so happy for you, and for your success. I am thankful for the energy of a loving marriage.” Really feel those words, and mean them with all your heart.

Maybe you want a publishing contract.  Think of an author whose books and success you admire. (This won’t work if you are resentful of them or jealous of them, or think their books suck.)  Hold a picture of the author, and of their incredible sales figures and wonderful books in your mind. Swell your heart with feel-good emotion and gratitude for their success as writers.  Then say “I’m so happy for you, and for your success. I am thankful for the energy of being a successful published author.” Really feel those words, and mean them with all your heart.

Whatever it is that you want to experience, find ways to be grateful for that energy as it already exists in the Universe. There is no surer way to melt that resistance and magnetise yourself to that Abundance.

Wishing you an inspired day of awakening and awareness. I am so very grateful that you choose to share this Gratitude Journey with me. Bless ♥ xx
