How to become more intuitive…

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” ~ Albert Einstein

All of us are intuitive but many of us become dominated by our minds, and as I often tell my clients, over-thinking chokes off our natural intuitive wisdom.

For those of us who have become used to living in our minds, connecting into this natural wisdom, and the flow of energy and information all around us can seem like an impossible task. But I promise you, intuition is your birth right – and the ability to be intuitive resides within every living thing.

Simple steps for increasing intuition:

The most important thing we can do in our daily lives to foster the development of our intuition is to make time for connection.  For some people this will be the first step in opening up to psychic abilities as well. It is vital that we get out of our heads and back into our bodies.

  • Drink more water – being hydrated always enhances connection.
  • Turn off the computer and the television and sit in silence.  This can be further improved by taking time to sit in nature.
  • Practice tuning in – by bring your conscious focus to something and then relaxing and stilling your mind, allowing yourself to become open to any impressions or information you might receive. (I know this can be incredibly hard at first for head-dominated people but it will get easier.)
  • Meditate.
  • Eat a diet rich in natural, fresh foods, which are full of vibrant energy and that clean up our own vibration.
  • Get enough sleep.
  • Avoid substances that dull our sensitivity, or that ramp it up in unnatural ways – such as caffeine, sugar, alcohol, recreational drugs – all of these inhibit true intuitive connection.

Guided Meditation to increase your intuitive ability

I’ve recorded a simple guided meditation to help you to soften and open up to your own intuitive connection. All you need to do is set aside ten minutes where you won’t be disturbed, and then close your eyes and listen to my voice.

With practice, you will find that intuition will begin to inform you, and better connect you into life and everything around you. You may also find that your abilities begin to go beyond just intuition, and into the realms of the metaphysical. (And if they do, I have tools and teachings for that too.)  Trust. Know that you are a spiritual BEing, made of pure source energy, living within a human body. All you ever have to do is relax, open and allow.

Much love to you. ♥♥♥

Everyone has something special to share with the world!

What we are is God’s gift to us. What we become is our gift to God. ~ Eleanor Powell

I have never met anyone who wasn’t unique in some way, who didn’t have a special gift to share with the world. The problem is that most people don’t acknowledge their gifts because they are always the things that come naturally and easily, even if we get better at them with practice.

We live in a society that crazily seems to prize two things above all others: hard work to get somewhere, or money for nothing.

I’m not talking about either of those.

I’m talking about the essence of your soul, the thing you ARE. And we catch glimpses of it from the moment of our birth.

I’ll give you some examples, and maybe you’ll start to understand what I mean…

My Grandmother had a gift for listening. When you spoke with her you knew she truly heard you, and acknowledged what you were saying and feeling. She was trustworthy and wise, and she helped many people through this gift. She never had a job or a career, and yet she touched the lives of many.

I have a client who has never been educated.  He can’t read or write, can barely sign his name. He has lived in the Outback his entire life. But he can break any horse.  He can turn any wild brumby into a horse that can be ridden and worked with, and he does it gently, without breaking their spirit.  No-one ever showed him.  He just seems to know how to communicate with them and win their trust.

I have a friend who is a nurse. I’ve know her for many years. She’s a talented nurse, and studied hard to get there, but her real gift? She has a knack for comforting people.

Ask anyone who’s known her and they’ll tell you the same.  She’s been like that since she was small. Animals, people, upset children, she just seems to know what to say, how to move, and her touch is filled with love and kindness.  Her voice is soothing and reassuring, or cheerful when it needs to be.

It’s not just her ability to do her job, it’s the essence she brings to that job that is so important.

Don’t ever think that you have nothing worthy to offer the world.  You came here with a gift inside you, perhaps even more than one.  That might not be a gift that will bring you great fame and riches, or public acclaim.

But for someone in your life, your gift will mean the world.

Not sure what your gift is?  Look back through your life.  What came easily?  What was a natural expression of who you are?  What have you done or been where you know you uplifted, or connected, or helped in some way?

You may have discounted this thing as ordinary or unimportant.  But I promise you, it’s not. And all you ever have to be is yourself!

You are precious, and valuable, and important to the richness and texture of life.

Kermit says it better than anyone…

Journaling for Spiritual Clarity and Connection – a 4 week course

There is a natural wisdom within us, a spiritual energy that can help us to stay centred in our truth.  This energy can guide us to make sound decisions, help direct our talents and gifts to contribute to the positive development of the wider community, and encourage us to care about ourselves and others.  This wisdom can help us with every aspect of our lives. Most of us know this energy as intuition. I consider it your Soul Wisdom or spiritual centre.

Intuition has often been seen as a woman’s gift, but it is a part of each human, male or female.  The more time we spend on left-brain activities such as working, paying bills, acquiring assets or power at work, the more masculine our energies become.  If we don’t also use our right-brain skills such as intuition, creativity and emotional perception we can create communication barriers between the left and right sides of our brain, and become unbalanced and unhappy.  This is true of both men and women.

As our world changes, there is a greater need for each of us to honour and balance both our masculine and feminine aspects, regardless of our gender.  Small changes can bring big results, so I’ve created a series of four journaling exercises to be done week by week over a month to help promote positive change and connection in your lives.

Why not try these simple suggestions over the next month, or to really give this a good go, do each activity for an entire month!  Each of these exercises will help to clarify and strengthen your soul connection and help you ‘hear’ that inner voice of wisdom within you.

The areas we will cover are:

Week 1 – All about my Body

Week 2 – All about my Mind

Week 3 – All about my Emotions

Week 4 – All about my Soul

I’ll post the first exercise tomorrow, and then each Monday we will explore the next topic.  All you need to join in is a journal and pen, and some time for yourself. I do hope you’ll join me for this next adventure of self discovery.

Love and Light, Nicole  ♥ xx
