A Message for Empaths and Sensitive Souls

Lovely friends, I just wanted to write you a little message of hope and reassurance this morning, because I know many of you have been feeling as I do. And this past month or so has certainly given us a buffeting.

As we near the end of 2016 many of us have felt completely drained. Not only that, the usual fixes haven’t worked. More sleep, better diet, extra supplements, caffeine, yoga – all the things we’d generally use to perk ourselves back up or keep ourselves going – none of them have restored us to and then kept us at a place of feeling energised and vibrant.

Dear ones, it isn’t just you.

And there isn’t something seriously wrong with you. Although it might feel that way…

 

There are a few things at play here that are affecting you:

1. Positive Ions and Changes in the Planet’s Energies

There is major shift within the Earth’s crust. This creates phenomena such as earthquakes and active volcanoes, but it also releases  a massive amount of positive ions into the atmosphere. Positive ions impact our capacity to ground, as they change the electrical charge of the earth beneath our feet from a negative one to a positive one. Being unable to ground is a serious issue for emotionally and energetically sensitive people. It renders us unable to discharge the energies we pick up from other people and places.

Positive ions also increase inflammation, disturb sleep patterns, impair brain function, suppress the immune system, cause anxiety and depression, generate huge fatigue, provoke asthma and breathing difficulties, and impair digestive and hormonal function.

Positive ions affect everyone negatively, but for energetically sensitive people the problem is magnified.

 

2. Massive Energetic Clearing

Many of us have come to this lifetime to be pattern-breakers within our family tree. These last months of 2016 are gifting us opportunities to break patterns within us, and within our family, that have been handed down through generations.

Ancestral healing, healing of relationships, healing of patterns within us – all of this takes huge work. First we need to become aware of the patterns. Then we must generate the will to change. Then we must make the change. It often takes a supreme effort to do so. The energetic cost is high.

Of course, when we break patterns there is often resistance in those around us. Situations and relationships can become tense and difficult. Lots of stress generation adds an additional load to the already overburdened empath or intuitive.

 

3. Ending of Old Cycles

We are in the last vestiges of that old energetic era which started before the birth of Christ, and which began its phase out in 2012.

That era was one of masculine energy, power, authority, domination and technology.

Often something that is on the way out kicks and shoves and makes its weight felt one last time.

Sensitive and intuitive souls feel that kick more than most.

As this cycle ends we are also letting go of those unbalanced aspects of ourselves. Lots of work is done as we sleep. Lots of work happens in our psyche and energetic fields. We might be consciously aware of it. All we’ll feel is exhaustion. And rightly so – because we’re working really hard to get this old cycle closed off for good. We’re levelling up. Shift is happening!

 

4. Holding Space at a Soul Level

Empaths, intuitives, highly sensitive people, lightworkers – all of us who are sitting in a place of higher awareness and connection to humanity and the planet – all of us are holding space for a more positive unfolding of Earth’s evolution.

We are hurting as we feel injustices and cycles of damage.

We are holding a vision of a world that is kinder, calmer, greener and more evolved.

That kind of space-holding is vital to the conscious unfolding of mankind. And it takes a lot of energy.

So, my friends, if you are weary to the bone, if you can’t work out what’s wrong, if you think it’s only you, think again.

We’re closing off the old. We’re birthing the new.

It’s a lot of work.

Right at a time when we can’t ground or gain the energetic support from the Earth that would more easily sustain us.

It will pass.

Until the earth’s energy stabilises again, there are things we can do to help ourselves become re-grounded:

  1. Drink water with 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda and 1 teaspoon lemon juice or apple cider vinegar  – this will neutralise the static electricity in you. Don’t have more than 2 doses of this in a day.
  2. Hold or carry a red jasper or a black tourmaline – or both if you have them
  3. Make a grid of 4 stones for your bed – use hematite, carnelian or any jasper. No quartz! Activate with red light. Don’t know how? Go here – How to Build a Crystal Grid
  4. Rub Sesame Oil onto the soles of your feet
  5. Use Lavender oil for calming your limbic system – inhale or rub on soles of feet.

Keep doing the work! Plan, reflect, journal, meditate, take long walks, practice self-care and be aware of your own thoughts and behaviours. Now is the time for actioning these last big changes from the old energies. Now is your time to change the world, by first changing yourself.

Quiet Time

It’s rainy here at the farm this morning, and cooler. You can truly sense autumn in the air.

My Accelerated Channeling retreat starts tomorrow, and I can feel the energy of the group growing and shifting as I work with them in my meditations each day. It will be a big few days, this retreat. I know it in my bones.

This morning after I finished my meditation I felt the need to go walking. So I did. On my own, in my pyjamas and gum boots. Down to the grove of trees near the cattle yards, where the bunya pines and tall old gums lend a steadiness to the air, and it feels a little like being in a cathedral.

To stand in the cool misty air beneath the boughs of old trees brought me to an equally quiet and steady place in my soul.

I am ready. So are my students.

Let this change come.

Feeling a Shift!

Every morning I wake up very early, and then I meditate for myself and others and send healing and love. Without fail. Unless I am on death’s door, and even then my routine doesn’t really vary. I may just come to my morning ritual after sunrise rather than before.

I also include you, the readers of my blog, in my meditations. I feel a deep energetic connection with you all, and a need to extend my meditations to include you and your families and immediate situations.

 

After my meditation I give thanks, and count my blessings.

This morning as I sat in that space my heart was so full that tears flooded down my face, and I had no words at all. Just emotion.

Right now I am in meditation twice a day for the students who will be attending my Accelerated Channeling Retreat in 10 days time. I do this meditation after my usual morning ritual, and it takes me an extra hour.

I could feel a profound shift in the energy of my students this morning.

When I tuned in further, it was as if the entire consciousness of the world had shifted.

Just a tiny shift. But a shift amplified by so many billions of people is a mighty shift indeed.

I still have no words for the feeling this shift has stirred in me.

We needed this shift.

Part of me expects that I will step outside my front door this morning and everything will be sparkling rainbows and light. That the world will look a little more magical and a little less everyday. Yet another part of me knows it will all look the same, even though the energy is different.

Can you feel it?

Can you feel a shift in you? Or a change in the air? A reorientation somehow? A deeper connection?

After the Storm…

One of the things I love about our retreats at Sangsurya is that we are always so supported by the natural environment.

We’ve been doing some really big work these past few days – wrapping up the old energies of 2015, and doing lots of shift and emotional clearing to make way for the delicious energies of the coming year.

Of course a huge storm came in right as we finished all of that work. It was crazily intense with driving rain, thunder, lightning and wild wind. Even during my evening channelling session, and then late into the night as I meditated for the group, the sky was alive with lightning and the distant roar of thunder out over the ocean.

This morning the dawning sun has burned away the last of the cloud. The air is cool and fresh and clean. Everything feels settled and grounded and clear as we get ready to work with all of the possibilities of 2016.

I’m so excited for what today will bring. You can feel the gift of it in the air!

Emergency Help for Sensitive Souls as we leave 2012

Are you having a rough time of it right now?  Are you swinging between feeling positive, energised and clear-headed and demotivated, depressed and barely able to get up off the couch?

Many of the sensitive souls I know are experiencing these big swings, or at least having unexplained moments of just feeling emotionally ‘off’.  There is little of the enthusiasm we usually feel at the beginning of a new year.

But take heart, my sensitive friends. We aren’t done with 2012 yet, and that’s what you’re processing through your own bodies – the slow death of the old way of being, and the strained beginnings of new life. Birth and death always heighten the senses, and lots of what you’re feeling is internal processing of external energies.  In other words, it’s not you, and your sensitivity is actually being utilised to help clear residual energy patterns and anchor new ones.

And sweetheart, that’s part of what you signed up for! So thank you. 🙂

Here’s my First Aid Kit of suggestions to help you get through the next few weeks:

  • Get outside and get your bare feet on the ground. Grounding ourselves into the earth helps immensely.  Not sure how to ground, or even what it means?   Take the crash course here:  Staying Grounded in Uncertain Times
  • Stay hydrated with plenty of good clean water.  Avoid stimulants like caffeine, Red Bull and other energy drinks. Limit your alcohol intake.
  • Eat lightly, and choose foods that are fresh, seasonal and as unprocessed as possible.  Avoid sugar and junk food.  Fresh fruit and vegetable juices are always good choices.  Think GREEN.
  • Limit exposure to crowds and to toxic environments and people – you have enough to deal with right now.  Why add to your burden?
  • Use crystals. If you’re feeling ungrounded, overwhelmed or unsafe I recommend Black Tourmaline.  If you’re processing anger and other unpleasant lower vibration emotions use Carnelian or Hematite.  If your health is suffering and you feel the need to physically detox or re-energise a nice piece of Bloodstone or Mookaite.  For love and support a Rose Quartz will do nicely. I don’t recommend Smoky Quartz, Clear Quartz or Amethyst at this time – you don’t want to shield yourself, you just want help to process, let go, and be supported in doing so.   • PS *If it gets all too much, and you’re at the end of your tether go with Smoky Quartz!
  • Epsom Salts Baths are a fantastic emergency procedure. They cleanse the aura, and deliver a strong dose of magnesium to your body, to help soothe a frazzled nervous system and relax all your weary muscles.

Loving my dinged up life-battered Self – Part 1

Don’t you love how Life gives you those aha moments? I’m in the middle of one right now.  It’s going to be that kind of week, I think. For you too, maybe.

This is one of the most intense weeks, energetically speaking, for clearing old family stuff: family-inherited or programmed patterns and beliefs; healing or letting go of old family wounds and pains; clearing grief around family, fertility and children or your own childhood; resolving communication issues or misunderstandings; leaving relationships or distancing yourself from what no longer works; endings and beginnings in your own family or the one you’ve created for yourself; coming to grips with your inheritance – whatever that may be.

I’m helping support others on this journey, but of course it’s also affecting me!

If you’ve been reading my blog, you’ll know that life has been fairly full on around here the past few months.  (Examples here, here and here) Yesterday was no exception. It was a gazetted ‘rest day’ for me. Let me give you  a brief peak into exactly what I’m talking about…

2.50 am  Eyes fly open and I am awake. 10 minutes to 3? Why am I awake an hour early? That extra sleep would have been so good. Oh, daylight savings. Mentally I adjust to the weird fact that I have just woken myself up with enough time to get my usual healing work done with these new time zones. It’s 3.50am, (even though it still feels an hour earlier!). I sit up, get ready and meditate for my students. Some of them need a lot of tuning up, so I do what’s needed. Then I do a healing meditation for family, friends, and clients. Finally I tune in to my ‘Elders Group’ (real people – I’m the youngest by many years, but that’s a whole other blog post), and put a little more energy into a big project we’ve been working on.

5.10am  I write my blog. (In my mind it’s still four-ish, and it feels like the middle of the night still.) I sneak back to bed, hoping to get a little sleep.

5.44am  A dear friend from America sees from my facebook status that I am awake and calls me. I have barely put the phone down when a high-profile client calls, also from the States – she’s one of a handful of clients I’ve given my private number to. Her life is in turmoil. She is desperate, and I have time, so I end up giving her a reading, sitting in bed in my pyjamas.  My work day has begun in earnest and the sun’s barely over the horizon.

6.30am  I make a healing necklace for a friend I am meeting for breakfast. She’s been going through a lot of shift.  I know she needs a little extra support.

7.00am  I answer emails. The backlog is massive, and more keep showing up in all my various in-boxes.  I choose the ones that are most urgent.  The rest will have to wait. I field a few more calls from overseas. If no-one’s dying, thinking about dying, or dealing with a life-critical or life-path critical decision I bless you and put you in my ‘pending file’.

8.00am  I am in Bangalow, laughing with girlfriends and discussing the Shamanic Meditation Retreat they all recently came to.  We also talk about cake, rural living and other important affairs, spliced in with conversation about meditation, Tibetan Singing Bowls and crystals.

10.00am  I am sitting on my front veranda with a pot of tea, a bowl of coconut ice (I must post that recipe for you!), giving a reading to someone I’ve recently met. They need the guidance. And it’s a day off, so I have time.

12.00pm  I drive to Byron to drop off a girlfriend who is staying with me, so she can meet up with some friends. I can’t find a park.  Byron Bay is like that sometimes.  I drive around and around.

12.10pm  Suddenly I feel ill.  My forehead breaks out in a cold sweat. I realise I am about to vomit.  I drive to the bus station, park and race to the public toilets, where I am violently sick.  I have no idea why, but I know that it’s not a physical issue.  Sometimes psychic work or shift affects me like this. What’s going on, I think to myself.

12.20pm  Back in the car, head out to find a park so I can sit and do some work.

12.25pm My stomach is gripped with cramps, my body is sweaty and cold, and I know I need to get back to that toilet. Yep.  Vomiting and diarrhea.  I’m clearing something big, and it’s not food related. There is big shift going on in those I love.  When I’m done in the toilet I go sit in the park and energetically send healing and light to them. The shift for them is so massive that I am wrung out.

1.30pm  I am sitting in a bookshop cafe, about to start catching up on my work backlog. The books call to me.  I end up crying, and the lady beside me ends up crying. It’s all okay.  I get what I need to from the situation.  My heart connects into the story I have been neglecting so badly while life got in the way.

2.30pm  Big stuff going down.  A hail of phone calls from family and friends.  Big decisions, big big life-changing decisions, and so I go sit at the beach and talk to them and hold space for them as they shift.

3.45pm  I head home to the farm. I make a pot of tea and do a healing for a friend. I do a healing for the world.

4.30pm  I talk to plumbers, builders and other people who are helping me get my flood-wrecked house ready for market, early 2 years after the event…  Share some information with my writing Sisters that will later trigger my own aha moment.

5.00pm  Making healing necklaces and discussing business (my kind of business – crystals, spiritual workshops, retreats, my new website etc)

7.30pm  Watch Totoro, a sweet animae DVD, that helps me remember this is actually a day off.

9.30pm  Meditation for my students, healing meditation, meditation for the world.  Tumble into sleep.

2.00am  Wake up and do a healing on a friend.  Send healing to my family.

3.00am  Snatch a bit more sleep

4.00am Meditation

5.30am  Blog…

6.10am  Finally get that this IS my life.  My life is a full-on, crazy and demanding ride, interspersed with moments of peace and complete calm so that I can recharge before the next onslaught. Oh. My. Goodness. You have no idea what a lightbulb moment that was for me. It’s not changing.  This IS it…

A Powerful Time for Clearing and Change!

How have you been feeling, this past week or so? Not quite yourself? A little out of sorts? Take the poll below and see if any of this resonates for you – you might not have felt like this continuously (indeed, I hope you haven’t!), but if anything sounds familiar then tick the box!

Maybe you’ve noticed some of the events unfolding in this last week or so, including major solar flares, big full moon, and the discovery of what’s known as the god-particle.

We’re in the middle of incredible energetic flux right now. Sensitive souls will really be feeling it – but you signed up for this, so it’s time to start using this powerful energy of shift to create change. After all, isn’t that what 2012 is all about?

Over the next few months we have an incredible Universal Energy assisting us to  deal with clearing family patterns, ancestral patterns and our own patterns of thought, behaviour – even generational medical conditions that no longer serve us.

By working on your own patterns and emotions you will also be contributing to clearing them for your family line – both above (mothers, fathers, grandparents, great-grandparents etc) and below you (children, grandchildren etc).

You can do this yourself through prayer and meditation, reiki and other modalities you are comfortable with, but it’s also a great idea to seek out skilled healers and practitioners to assist you with your clearing and healing.  These might include natural health care providers, doctors, psychologists, counsellors, body workers and massage therapists, spiritual healers and intuitive and psychic counsellors or whatever else you are drawn to.  Remember that many souls have incarnated at this time expressly to help with this great change and unfolding.  You might well be one of them!

I know the energy might not feel all that great while we’re going through these shifts, but trust that the outcomes will be positive. Hold an intention for the Highest Good, for yourself and others.

What else can you do right now?

Crystals will be a great addition to your toolkit. (Some information on how to work with crystals here.)  Black tourmaline, snowflake obsidian and jasper will help keep you grounded. Citrine and turquoise will clear your head. Rose quartz will nourish your heart. Carnelian, Bloodstone and Hematite will strengthen and protect your physical body. Amethyst, clear quartz, sugalite and charoite will help with psychic connection.

Spend some time in nature. Our planet has a great capacity to nurture, ground and heal us. Unplug from the digital world for a while, and reconnect with your humanity.

Avoid toxic people and situations. (More on this in tomorrow’s blog!)

Honour your sensitivity. (Info on How to live as a Sensitive Soul here)

This is also a great time for an outpouring of creativity, for sudden clarity about your direction with career and relationships. Don’t be surprised to find that as things clear, life starts to rocket ahead for you in all sorts of wonderful ways, enhanced with much synchronicity and beautiful new connections.
