“You and I are all as much continuous with the physical universe as a wave is continuous with the ocean.”
~ Alan Wilson Watts

“To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter… to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring — these are some of the rewards of the simple life.”
~ John Burroughs, Leaf and Tendril

This last meditation in our series is designed to anchor us into the unfolding and ever-expanding energy of the Universe.

For this meditation you need:

1) A photograph of you as a small child or baby.

2) A photograph or even an object that belonged to one of your ancestors. Choose someone who is/was your grandparent, or even from the generations before that.

3) The crystal that we used in last week’s meditation, or one you have prepared for this meditation.

4) Something that you deeply desire to manifest in your life. Get clear about what that is. If you have time, journal about it to create as much detail as possible.

You’ll need to set aside twenty minutes for this meditation. Sit or lie somewhere quietly, using pillows or blankets if needed to make yourself comfortable. Then simply close your eyes and follow the sound of my voice. It’s fine to let yourself fall asleep during the meditation, or immediately afterwards.

To listen to the meditation, click on the button below:

This meditation will help you to connect into your own soul’s energy, the energy of your ancestors, and to use intention to manifest your own unfolding reality.

Holding your crystal after this meditation will continue to strongly connect you into universal energy and universal consciousness, and will also help you to travel along the timeline during subsequent meditations or in the dream state.

Getting Ready for Our Final Guided Meditation

“Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns, it calls me on and on across the universe.”
~ John Lennon

A few weeks ago I started a series of seven weekly guided meditations, and tomorrow I shall bring you the final meditation for this series.

This last meditation is designed to anchor us into the unfolding energy of the Universe.

So, for you to make best use of tomorrow’s meditation, I need you to do a few simple things in preparation:

1) Find a photograph of you as a small child or baby.

2) Find a photograph or even an object that belonged to one of your ancestors. Choose someone who is/was your grandparent, or even from the generations before that.

3) Find the crystal that we used in last week’s meditation. If you did not join us for that meditation choose a stone or a crystal that feels good in your hands. Place it outside on the earth, rest it in the soil of a houseplant, or place it on a windowsill where it will get natural daylight and moonlight for at least six hours or overnight. Retrieve it tomorrow before we start the guided meditation.

4) Think of something that you deeply desire to manifest in your life. Get clear about what that is. If you have time, journal about it to create as much detail as possible.

That’s all you have to do. Enjoy your day, and I’ll see you tomorrow for a guided meditation that will help us to easily move into the universal energy of expansion, connection and manifestation. Much love to you, Nicole xx

4am Meditations and what they mean to me…

Radiant Heart by Daniel B Holeman

Each morning I wake up just before 4am.  I stretch, yawn, and most times slip quietly out of bed to go meditate. My exceptions – if it’s freezing cold out or howling a gale I might sit up in bed to meditate instead.

At 4am the world is quiet. At 4am the world is so peaceful I can hear her breathing in and out. It’s as if time has been suspended in this space between sleeping and dawn.

I have come to love this time each day. Although I use many forms and methods of meditation, I always cover the same areas: I send Love and Light to friends, family and clients.  I meditate for my students – for their spiritual growth and connection, I send Peace, Love and Light into the World, and I work with a specific area of healing each day, for myself and for you.

I always conclude with gratitude and then sit open a while, waiting for any specific messages or energies.  This often leads to writing…

It’s no hardship to do this.  In fact, it fills me up.  Sometimes I’ve thought that it’s my daily meditation practices that keep me going, and keep me alive.

At 4am my heart is connected to the heart of the world. I feel the Oneness of everything, the largeness of our Spirits, and the true smallness of our worries.

If I could tell you one thing, it would be this.  You are Loved. And it’s not just me loving you.  At 4am, when I am meditating, I FEEL the love being sent around the world by others just like me.

So today, know that you are not alone.  You are in someone’s thoughts and prayers, someone is intending the best for you, someone has faith in you, and holds a vision of your best self, knowing that you are more than capable of being that dream you hold in your own heart.

And if you feel so inclined, why not join me and add your energy to my own? You can do this any time – not just at 4am.  Don’t know how? The simplest way is this: all you have to do is sit quietly, fill your heart with love on every in-breath, and then breathe that love out into the world on every exhale.  It will make you feel good. It will fill you with peace and love, and it will overflow from you, and into the world around you.  It really is as easy as that.

Some of you will doubt right now.  Some of you will be in a space where you think you need to feel better first, or more loving first, before you can add any energy at all.  I’ve come to understand that this is not the case. You were born to shine your Light. It’s natural. It will all come back to you.

When you are worried, when you feel small, when you feel that you can’t contribute and that life or circumstance is overwhelming, then meditating like this is the best way to make a difference.  For yourself.  For others. It works…  After twenty years of doing this, I KNOW it works.

If you are at the end of your rope, just close your eyes and breathe in love.  No need to breathe any out.  You go right ahead and fill yourself up.  When you’re brimful and overflowing again, then give back if it feels right.

This love is always here for you.  All you ever have to do is connect in, and it’s yours.  In fact, it’s been wrapped around you the whole time.

Each of us is a Light in this world and although our individual Light may seem small, when we shine our Light – radiating positive energy and intent – we make a difference. When we join together as Lightworkers, the energy is magnified.  And this energy is magnificent.  Our Light makes a difference.  All ways. Always.

Bless.  Much love to you ♥ xx

Writing Yourself into a Brighter Future

Image from

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Did you know that thoughts have great power?  When we have clear goals and ideas, and attach positive emotion to them, we magnetise these mental images and begin the process of creating them in our reality. (See this post for more information: Writing as a Manifestation Tool)

What sort of future are you planning for yourself?  Are there particular dreams or goals you would like to achieve?

I know a way to help make them happen, and all you need is a pen and paper.

Writing a Letter to Our Future Self…

Today we’re going to compose a letter to ourselves. Hand write it, if you can, because something magical happens when we put pen to paper.  It links our heart and our mind, and carries that energy through our entire body, grounding it as it goes.

But there’s a twist.  We’re going to write this letter from the perspective of already being in the future. You can choose the date. Don’t pick anything less than a year from now, but also don’t pick more than ten years. Go with what feels right for you!

Now write the letter to congratulate yourself on your achievements at this future point in time. The letter will express your hopes and dreams as if they have now happened.  Talk about how proud you are, or mention the satisfaction or other positive emotions you feel.

You might want to include health, career, relationships, where you live, travel plans, investments/financial position and creative ambitions. Make your statements specific, and only include things that truly are important to you, and that fill you with hope, excitement and anticipation.  Really feel this in your heart. Dream good dreams for yourself and let this be a love letter from yourself to you.  Be your own cheer squad.  Celebrate your life!

When you’ve finished, seal it in an envelope addressed to you, marked ‘Not to be opened until xxxx’. Then put it somewhere safe where you will be able to find it again in the future.

Doorway to the Stars by Josephine Wall

Here’s an example from one I wrote to myself back in April 2008. It’s obviously very personal, so I’ve chosen some random sentences and pasted them together to give you a general idea. (And it does sound quite dorky in its randomness!) The actual letter is three pages long, ambitious, and quite detailed, and almost everything I had written has come, or is in the process of coming true.

Dear Nicole,

I’m writing this letter for you to open 5 years into the future. I congratulate you on your great health….  You really look sensational, and I love what you’ve done with your hair… I’m really proud that you’ve gone out and bought yourself some beautiful clothes and that you’re finally enjoying exercise… It’s great to see your blog so loved, and that you’re reaching such a wide audience…  Your writing buddies are the best and have become true friends…. And now you have a publishing deal…

I really love you, Nicole, and I’m proud of you. You deserve this happiness and success.

All my love to you,

Nicole xx

Allow yourself to enjoy this process of deliberate co-creation. It’s amazing how much we can manifest by this simple process.

And finally, a beautiful guided meditation to soothe you, relax you and help you create a positive vibration that will encourage the realisation of your dreams;

Qigong and the Old Hoop Pine

There is an old Hoop Pine outside my back door, next to the wooden shed that will soon become my new library and office.  It is the first tree that greets me each morning. When I moved here four and a half years ago I hadn’t yet begun to see auras around plants, animals and places. But I knew that tree had a special energy.

On my fortieth birthday I woke up and I could see colour all around me, in everything living thing, and many more besides.

One thing I noticed straight away was the old Hoop Pine. It had a small energy for such a big tree, and was predominantly pale gold.

I often practice qigong at dawn, after my morning meditation, and I do this on the grass just outside my back door.

One day during my practice I noticed the Hoop Pine’s auric field begin to pulse. It grew a little brighter.

It was still brighter the next morning.

I did some more qigong. The Hoop Pine pulsed.

The tree’s auric field still seems small for such a big tree, but it is so bright, and when I walk close to it, I feel its shimmery energy. I have often drawn on that energy when I have most needed it, and to me it smells like fresh pine needles as it surges through my own aura.

It is the favourite haunt of the black cockatoos, even when the tree is not fruiting.  They fly in and sit awhile in its branches until their auras too start to glow more brightly.

Several times I have seen this Hoop Pine shoot golden energy out from its crown into the world.  It reminds me of a bomb going off – that rapid ballooning and surging of energy that goes BOOM and then is gone. It often coincides with the lunar cycle, but not always.

I have begun to see the sentience in the world around me.  Not just humans, not just animals, but plants. And as with us, some animals are elders of their tribes, and some plants hold that space too.

I met an elephant once, who had the most amazing aura I have ever seen, including a psychic channel.  She looked right at me as though she knew me, and reached out her trunk to stroke my cheek. But that’s a whole other story. Maybe I”ll tell you one day…

Writing as a Manifestation Tool

Image from

In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God. ~ John 1:1

Words have power. Whether they are thought, spoken or written down, there is a great energy to words, and over the next six Mondays we are going to focus on ways to harness this power through journal writing, so that we can bring the energy of positive change into our lives.

No matter if you believe in God, Universal Energy, the power of the mind, synchronicity, the Muse, yourself or humanity – I’m going to show you how to work with those beliefs, and with words, to create transformation. You’ll gain clarity, and begin attracting the help, guidance and information you need to move closer to your own idea of a better life.

The Law of Attraction

There has been so much talk about the Law of Attraction, but many people struggle to understand what it is, how it works, or if it’s even real.

Here’s my simple take on it. The Universe is one of vibration, where like attracts like, where a thought attracts its match. It works like this: the clearer the thought, and the more powerful the emotion attached to that thought (positive or negative), the faster you attract that thing/situation/person into your life. I know that it is real because I have experienced it for myself, and you’ll discover that it is too if you keep working with me over the next few weeks.

So these activities focus on writing as a manifestation tool, but you’ll find they will also start strengthening your intuitive abilities and sensitivities.  It’s a natural result of becoming more aware of the energies in the world around you.

Journal Activity:

Begin by watching this two  minute clip to help to put you into a more positive vibration (which is a great starting point for manifestation):

Now, over the next week use the following journal starters and write as much or as little as feels right for you.  Begin by transcribing these words (the ones in coloured ink) into your journal. Then choose a journal starter that resonates for you and let the words flow.  You can use the same journal starter more than once if it really resonates for you.  Write from the heart, and be focused on SOLUTIONS rather than problems.  You don’t need to know the answer, you just need to know that you want one!

We need to get that jumble in your head out and onto the page.  The real work has already begun, even if it feels messy.  In fact that’s how it is supposed to feel.  Pour it all out onto the page, and enjoy the relief once it’s out there…

Dear Universe,

There are things in my life that I would appreciate some help or guidance with right now. I know some of these can be quickly sorted, and some may take more time. I am open to however this works.

I don’t know what the answers are, or even how to start, but I am going to trust that there IS an answer, and that with your assistance I CAN find help. I trust that the best possible solution for me exists for the following situations:

  • I would love to find healing in my relationship with
  • I would love to attract into my life a person who could
  • It would be terrific if I didn’t have to __________ because then I could
  • An idea I’ve had in my head for a long time that I’d like to turn into a reality is
  • One thing that I’ve never been able to get sorted is _________ and it would mean so much to me to have some change here because then I could
  • The one thing I really need a teacher for is
  • The one thing I really need a healer for is
  • The one thing I really need a friend for is
  • The one gift I’d very much like to share with others is
  • It’s terrifying, but if I could only
  • I know I’m not good at _______ but it has to get done.  Somewhere out there is some one who is good at ______________ and if I could find them and have them do this with me, or even for me, it would free me up to
  • One belief inside me that is really holding me back is______________.  If I could get some help to overcome this I would be able to
  • If I could find some forgiveness for ___________ then I’d be able to
  • I have this half-formed crazy idea inside me, and I need help to get clarity around it so that I can
  • The one thing that would really change my life right now in the simplest of ways is
  • I’d love to have more friends who were also interested in
  • I’m so lost that I have NO CLUE.  What I’d appreciate is some direction so that
This week, look for evidence of help. Stay open, and have an attitude of curiosity. Help might come in the form of a show on TV, a blog post, a book that jumps out at you, a flyer in your letterbox, a suggestion from a friend, or even a sudden knowing…
Much love to you  ♥ ♥ ♥
