Success isn’t about how much money you make; it’s about the difference you make in people’s lives.

Hey, Lovelies.
I did something radical yesterday.
I took a chance on someone who has already let me down. More than once.
Many people would say that’s the definition of stupidity.
But I feel differently.
I see something in this person. Something they don’t yet see in themselves. They are fundamentally good. They are talented. They have a good heart. And I know that one of the reasons they have let me down (and themselves) in the past is because they never had the safety, the access to good mentors and sound parenting, that would have given them a better skillset for coping with life. When we get stuck in trauma it’s hard to make good choices, and to adult successfully.
So, I took a chance on someone who is worth investing in because, eventually, I believe that they will come to value themselves as much as I value them. I believe they will grown into themselves, and make better choices, and have more self-esteem and confidence and self-worth, which will also help lead to better future decisions.
It takes a village to raise a child, and inside many adults are children who never got what they needed to be able to grow up to be healthy functional humans.
I took a chance on someone yesterday, because it is almost always better to repair something when we can, rather than throw it away.
More than that, I’ve been that person. The person who screwed up, made bad decisions, let people down. Someone held out their hand to me once, long after I’d realistically blown my second and third chance to make things right, and their faith in me changed everything.
I look forward to seeing what happens next, and I predict good things.
Love, Light and an unstoppable belief in the fundamental goodness of people, Nicole xx
