Revitalization Week Ahead! Monday Oracle 9 April 2018

Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the single candle will not be shortened.”
~ “The Teaching of Buddha.”

Hello, Lovelies!

April is a month that brings a delicious flow of new ideas and inspiration. Your job is to honour this flow, making room for change in your life and for acting on these ideas and inspired thoughts. If you’ve lacked direction you’ll be glad to know that April gifts you sudden flashes of insight and clarity. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the oracle card Eight of Wands brings us.

This week brings revitalisation of our creative essence. In fact, it brings revitalisation of our very life force.

Let your intuition guide you this week. Pay attention to the rhythms of your body. For some of you this means surrendering to deep rest. Grab an early night or two, dial down your commitments, do less. I know – you might need to fight the familiar panic that comes up when you have so much to do and now I’m asking you to slow down or even stop! But who makes good decisions or creates their best work when they are as sharp as a beachball? A few days of unplugging and good rest will have you back on your game again, refreshed and so much more alive with ideas and possibilities than you are right now.

For some of you this is the week to bunker down with that project or idea you’ve been dancing around. The ideas will flow. You’ll find yourself incredibly productive. Don’t worry about being balanced this week – give yourself to the creative whirlwind and go your hardest.

How do you tell which situation best suits you? Close your eyes, take a deep breath and relax your body. Now tune in. Are you teetering on the edge of exhaustion or is there plenty of juice left in your tank? Go by your true energy level. If you’re fatigued rest up first – you’ll still be able to finish the week strong.

This is also a week for finding teachers, mentors and sources of inspiration, and for being that creative light for others too. Inspire and let yourself be inspired.

Then get back to me and tell me what happened for you this week. I just know some of you are going to have enormous productivity, breakthroughs and important realisations!

Supportive crystals this week?

Clear Quartz amplifies intuition and your ability to tune in to Universal and Personal Wisdom. It’s a great stone to enable you to understand at a soul level what your body really needs. Amazonite helps you to live bravely, defending and protecting what is important to you, especially in regard to your creative projects. Red Jasper will keep you grounded as the ideas flow, and gift you stamina and resilience if you end up burning the candle at both ends. Fluorite (pictured below) taps you into your innate creativity, fires up your inspiration and helps you to be honest, objective and innovative with your work.

Helpful essential oils?

Hands down it’s Geranium this week. Geranium is such an underestimated essential oil. With its sweet floral scent it’s brilliant for helping you relax, unwind and get connected to your essence. It will uplift you and stimulate creativity, sensuality and emotional flow – all energies that are great for shifting us into a more creative space. If you’re an over-giver and your tank is dry, geranium oil will fill you back up again.

Apply it to your pulse points at wrist, neck and over heart like a perfume. Place a few drops in your bath water. Diffuse it. One of my favourite uses is as a centering and inspiring pick-me-up. Put a drop in the palm of your hand, rub hands together and then inhale the aroma. (Here’s a simple three-minute meditation you can do using geranium or any of your favourite essential oils – click here)

Need an extra boost of encouragement? Try Young Living’s Believe essential oil blend. It’s fabulous in your diffuser while you work, or as a quick pick-me-up with a three-minute meditation. Believe is uplifting and promotes confidence, spiritual connection, clarity and belief in ourselves. It also helps us to let go of fear, doubt and old emotional pain and hurt.  I often use this oil when I am creating, writing or journalling, or working with cards for myself.

You can find the oils here.

If you’re looking for some extra support for your spiritual and creative flow come check out my upcoming Pop Up Shop, Channelling Night and One Day Workshops in Brisbane 26-27 May. We’d love to see you there! Details here in my Store.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

PS: Monday’s oracle card, ‘Eight of Wands’, is from the Inner Child Cards – A Fairy-Tale Tarot. I use any cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book.

15 Tips to Fuel Your Creativity

“Every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up.”
~  Pablo Picasso

2018 is a fabulous year for all forms of creativity.

Creativity. NOT productivity.

Go back and read that sentence again if you have to!

Productivity is the act of producing something. The dictionary defines productivity as ‘the effectiveness of productive effort, especially in industry, as measured in terms of the rate of output per unit of input’. Think widgets, or burning through your to-do list. It is often not a joyful task, or one that requires your best work or your best self to turn up. Yes, you can still be productive this year, but that’s not what the energies of 2018 are all about.

2018 is a fabulous year for all forms of creativity. Creativity is defined as the use of imagination or original ideas to create something. Creativity is a wild beast. It’s a tender young seedling that will grow into a blooming bush or an incredible tree. Creativity is the act of making something that is fuelled by your own life force and shaped by your imagination and heartsong.

After so many years of sitting in ‘productive’ energy, getting back to that wild space of creativity can feel uncomfortable and odd. It can make us anxious if we don’t get an instant result, a perfect first creation or a super-productive outcome. And worse, trying to be ‘productive’ with our creativity makes that flow of imagination and inventiveness slow to a trickle or stop altogether. Remember: once you have your creative outcome you can work from a place of productivity, but not before.

Here are my top ten suggestions for reconnecting to and feeding your creative energy this year:

  1. Listen to music. Range widely and try new styles and genres.
  2. Read books. Libraries and bookshops have a world of inspiration just waiting for you to explore.
  3. Watch movies. Change it up and look at things that are not your usual choices.
  4. Go for long walks in nature. Camping can also be good. Use this as unplugged time and leave your phone and laptop at home or turned off.
  5. Sit in a cafe with a hot or cold beverage. People watch, or write in your journal. Sit in a space of awareness. Use your whole self as an antenna.
  6. Move your body. Dancing is good. Or a yoga class. Surfing or playing with your dog or your kids (or borrow the dog or kids of a friend!). Movement gets you into flow!
  7. Watch a live performance. Or give one.
  8. Visit the local art gallery or museum.
  9. Take a road trip. Go around the corner or around the world. Travel has direct links to the imagination switch in your brain.
  10. Sign up to some kind of creative hands-on course. Try ceramics or drum making, decorative cookies or welding. It doesn’t need to be in the field where you want to shine. Anything that gets you making something with your hands will do. Can’t access a course? Bake something or go dig in the garden and grow things.
  11. Got a project idea? Just start. Work it out as you go. Don’t need it to be perfect or all planned out in advance.
  12. Dedicate some regular time and space for your creative projects. No, this won’t kill creativity. Turning up and creating a routine supports sustainable creative flow.
  13. Let yourself be a beginner.
  14. Try collaborating with others and sharing knowledge and skills.
  15. Enjoy regular down-time. Working and needing to be productive every waking moment leaves no space for new ideas to form or bubble to the surface. Rest and play are your friends this year!

I can’t wait to see what magic you create in 2018, or how living more creatively and playfully helps you heal and re-energise in all kinds of places in your life. Drop me a line and keep me posted!

Much love, Nicole  xx

The Energies of October – 2017

“This is how it works. I love the people in my life, and I do for my friends whatever they need me to do for them, again and again, as many times as is necessary. For example, in your case you always forgot who you are and how much you’re loved. So what I do for you as your friend is remind you who you are and tell you how much I love you. And this isn’t any kind of burden for me, because I love who you are very much. Every time I remind you, I get to remember with you, which is my pleasure.”
~  James Lecesne

Hello, Lovelies :)

Let’s do a Happy Dance – October is here and with it comes energies of love, friendship, community and togetherness. It’s also a month for getting creative and for self-acceptance.

Cards for the Month:

I’ve chosen two cards for October for you: one from the Osho Zen Tarot Deck, and one from Colette Baron-Reid’s Wisdom of the Oracle. Please note I don’t use these cards in the conventional way, but rather as a stimulus for channelled information.

Here is what I have received from each card:

“The greatest wisdom is in simplicity. Love, respect, tolerance, sharing, gratitude, forgiveness. It’s not complex or elaborate. The real knowledge is free. It’s encoded in your DNA. All you need is within you. Great teachers have said that from the beginning. Find your heart, and you will find your way.”
~  Carlos Barrios, Mayan elder and Ajq’ij of the Eagle Clan

October heralds a deep need within us for more meaningful connection and joyful authentic expression, even as other aspects of our lives or the world give us pause or worry.

It’s the perfect month to find groups with whom you share interests, or to start a group or a tribe of your own! It’s a month for family, for friendship and for community. It’s a time for supporting each other, or for asking for support for yourself or people or projects dear to you.

October encourages you to accept yourself just as you are. To love yourself just as you are. It also reminds us to accept others as they are, in that same spirit of heart-centered generosity.

This is a month for coming together, for celebrating, for finding joy in the everyday and for embracing the roles of nature, arts and culture in our lives. If you are an artist, a gardener, a writer, a musician or any other kind of creative this is a magical month for you as inspiration visits and your ideas clarify. If you or your home need a makeover this is a fabulous month for that too.

Never stuck with your art (or even started) because you’re a perfectionist or you have to be the best or not bother? You can break out of that and reconnect with your heart through art just for yourself this month. Expressing yourself creatively is soul work. It’s healing. It’s joyful.

You might be amazed what you learn about yourself. Get to it! But remember to take plenty of time out to refill the well from which your inspiration springs.

The second card I’ve chosen is Yang. This speaks to the magic we can create when we honour our art, and as we put our creative offerings (art, music, ideas, business, healing, legacy) out into the world.

“Everyone must leave something behind when he dies, my grandfather said. A child or a book or a painting or a house or a wall built or a pair of shoes made. Or a garden planted. Something your hand touched some way so your soul has somewhere to go when you die, and when people look at that tree or that flower you planted, you’re there.

It doesn’t matter what you do, he said, so long as you change something from the way it was before you touched it into something that’s like you after you take your hands away. The difference between the man who just cuts lawns and a real gardener is in the touching, he said. The lawn-cutter might just as well not have been there at all; the gardener will be there a lifetime.”
~  Ray Bradbury

In October, put energy into what matters to you, and to creating your vision and action plan for yourself, your art, your legacy or your business.

No matter what it is that you create or plan this month, put your whole heart into it. How to do that? Cut out the distractions so you can focus on being in the moment with whatever you are creating. Get stuff done, don’t just think about it or endlessly plan.

Use music, scent and motion to help lead you into that state where the creative magic happens.

Know that there is a place in the world for your offerings, and that this month supports you to dive deep into whatever that is.

Best crystals this month?

Essential oils to support your journey?

I’m just loving Young Living’s Clarity and Believe blends for October. Use Clarity for focus, inspiration and breakthroughs. Dab a drop on your Crown Chakra and the soles of your feet, inhale directly or add to your diffuser. Use Believe when you are doubting yourself and want to find your confidence and self-belief. It’s great to inhale directly, diffuse or add a drop to Heart Chakra and inner wrists. A few drops added to your bath make for magical self-care.

Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this month, but they also make a delicious combination for diffusing. Frankincense elevates our mood and promotes spiritual connection and intuition, Lavender keeps us in flow and relaxed,  Ylang Ylang opens our hearts and is supportive when we feel anxious or overwhelmed, and Bergamot for joy, gratitude and optimism. To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

Whatever your focus in October, remember to take time for yourself, to get enough sleep, and to spend some time in your Happy Place (whatever that is for you) and in the healing arms of nature.

Lots of love, Nicole❤ xoxo

Why You Need to Stop Talking And Start Doing!

“They blossomed, they did not talk about blossoming.”
Dejan StojanovicThe Sun Watches the Sun

I’m guilty of it. I’m sure you’ve been guilty of it too.

We have an idea. For a book. For a business. For a holiday. For a themed party. For something that excites us so much that we just have to talk about it.

We talk, and talk and talk. We are in love with this idea. We preen it and shine it up, and caress it with our words.

Beautiful Idea by Fadli Agung Ismail

Which creates a problem. After a while, to keep talking about a creative idea dilutes the power of that thing.

Eventually it collapses in on itself, and returns to nothingness.

But…

If you took the smallest action to bring your idea into being, life would be breathed into it.

More action – wings.

And so it would go until your beautiful idea would fly, and become the thing that was once only thought.

You were given this inspiration for a reason – so that YOU can birth your beautiful idea into being, and share it with the world.

You can do this!

Begin.

There has been enough talk.
