“This is how it works. I love the people in my life, and I do for my friends whatever they need me to do for them, again and again, as many times as is necessary. For example, in your case you always forgot who you are and how much you’re loved. So what I do for you as your friend is remind you who you are and tell you how much I love you. And this isn’t any kind of burden for me, because I love who you are very much. Every time I remind you, I get to remember with you, which is my pleasure.”
~ James Lecesne
Hello, Lovelies
Let’s do a Happy Dance – October is here and with it comes energies of love, friendship, community and togetherness. It’s also a month for getting creative and for self-acceptance.
Cards for the Month:
I’ve chosen two cards for October for you: one from the Osho Zen Tarot Deck, and one from Colette Baron-Reid’s Wisdom of the Oracle. Please note I don’t use these cards in the conventional way, but rather as a stimulus for channelled information.
Here is what I have received from each card:
“The greatest wisdom is in simplicity. Love, respect, tolerance, sharing, gratitude, forgiveness. It’s not complex or elaborate. The real knowledge is free. It’s encoded in your DNA. All you need is within you. Great teachers have said that from the beginning. Find your heart, and you will find your way.”
~ Carlos Barrios, Mayan elder and Ajq’ij of the Eagle Clan
October heralds a deep need within us for more meaningful connection and joyful authentic expression, even as other aspects of our lives or the world give us pause or worry.
It’s the perfect month to find groups with whom you share interests, or to start a group or a tribe of your own! It’s a month for family, for friendship and for community. It’s a time for supporting each other, or for asking for support for yourself or people or projects dear to you.
October encourages you to accept yourself just as you are. To love yourself just as you are. It also reminds us to accept others as they are, in that same spirit of heart-centered generosity.
This is a month for coming together, for celebrating, for finding joy in the everyday and for embracing the roles of nature, arts and culture in our lives. If you are an artist, a gardener, a writer, a musician or any other kind of creative this is a magical month for you as inspiration visits and your ideas clarify. If you or your home need a makeover this is a fabulous month for that too.
Never stuck with your art (or even started) because you’re a perfectionist or you have to be the best or not bother? You can break out of that and reconnect with your heart through art just for yourself this month. Expressing yourself creatively is soul work. It’s healing. It’s joyful.
You might be amazed what you learn about yourself. Get to it! But remember to take plenty of time out to refill the well from which your inspiration springs.
The second card I’ve chosen is Yang. This speaks to the magic we can create when we honour our art, and as we put our creative offerings (art, music, ideas, business, healing, legacy) out into the world.
“Everyone must leave something behind when he dies, my grandfather said. A child or a book or a painting or a house or a wall built or a pair of shoes made. Or a garden planted. Something your hand touched some way so your soul has somewhere to go when you die, and when people look at that tree or that flower you planted, you’re there.
It doesn’t matter what you do, he said, so long as you change something from the way it was before you touched it into something that’s like you after you take your hands away. The difference between the man who just cuts lawns and a real gardener is in the touching, he said. The lawn-cutter might just as well not have been there at all; the gardener will be there a lifetime.”
~ Ray Bradbury
In October, put energy into what matters to you, and to creating your vision and action plan for yourself, your art, your legacy or your business.
No matter what it is that you create or plan this month, put your whole heart into it. How to do that? Cut out the distractions so you can focus on being in the moment with whatever you are creating. Get stuff done, don’t just think about it or endlessly plan.
Use music, scent and motion to help lead you into that state where the creative magic happens.
Know that there is a place in the world for your offerings, and that this month supports you to dive deep into whatever that is.
Best crystals this month?
Red Jasper and Orange Calcite
Red Jasper is a stone for mental, physical and emotional rejuvenation. Deeply grounding, and it helps you connect to your heart and your truth.

Orange Calcite connects you in to inspiration and is a wonderful beginner stone for tuning in to the spiritual realms. Expect accelerated connection with your Guides!

Essential oils to support your journey?
I’m just loving Young Living’s Clarity and Believe blends for October. Use Clarity for focus, inspiration and breakthroughs. Dab a drop on your Crown Chakra and the soles of your feet, inhale directly or add to your diffuser. Use Believe when you are doubting yourself and want to find your confidence and self-belief. It’s great to inhale directly, diffuse or add a drop to Heart Chakra and inner wrists. A few drops added to your bath make for magical self-care.
Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this month, but they also make a delicious combination for diffusing. Frankincense elevates our mood and promotes spiritual connection and intuition, Lavender keeps us in flow and relaxed, Ylang Ylang opens our hearts and is supportive when we feel anxious or overwhelmed, and Bergamot for joy, gratitude and optimism. To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.
Whatever your focus in October, remember to take time for yourself, to get enough sleep, and to spend some time in your Happy Place (whatever that is for you) and in the healing arms of nature.
Lots of love, Nicole❤ xoxo
