Awakening to your Truth – Monday Oracle, 13 November 2017

You were born a child of light’s wonderful secret— you return to the beauty you have always been.
~AberjhaniVisions of a Skylark Dressed in Black

Hello, Lovelies!

November is a month for knowing ourselves deeply, for healing old hurts and for prioritising and redesigning our lives so that they better represent the person we are and the person we want to become.

Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts which the oracle card Renewal brings us.

It’s a special week, this week. In the northern hemisphere on August 21 of this year there was a total solar eclipse. That momentary quietening of the sun’s energies allowed a ramping up of our intuition.

The eclipse also heralded an intense period of connection and integration – a period known as The Deepening, which supported us on our soul-awakening journey until today – the morning of November 13, when Venus joins Jupiter in our sky, creating an energy that thunderbolts us into a place of harmony, connection and expansion that has been previously unknown to us.

So now here we are, at the dawn of this week. Renewal shows us what’s in store for us.

As the deepening of our intuition stabilises, we find ourselves expanded somehow. We’re at the threshold of a new personal era. Our hidden hopes and dreams, our rich inner world, the absolute substance of who we are – these things can no longer be hidden inside us. This week we see that the richness we have held inside us for so long is beginning to stream from us in ever-strengthening rays of soul light, that will illuminate our path ahead, that will illuminate us to like-minded souls and to life’s possibilities and opportunities that are better matched to this inner self than to the old life we had been living. In essence, we can no longer live inauthentically, and even if we do, cracks will appear. The truth must come out. What has been hidden must be brought into the light.

Renewal shows us that our soul wisdom already knows what we are good at, what makes us happy, what is meaningful to us, what lights us up. All we have to do to navigate that is to tune in and trust our intuitive wise self. We’ll find clues everywhere about how to live a happier and more fulfilled life.

It’s our job now to act on these clues. We need to make choices and take actions that bring us into alignment with this inner world of ours, so that our inner world also becomes our outer world instead of living in schism – where who we are on the outside is often wildly different to that soul essence we hide away inside us, for fear that living as that person will destroy our life, make us unlovable, leave us judged and rejected.

Renewal gives us hope, and reminds us that it is always better to be true to ourselves. The Deepening has put us in touch with that self. Our only path now is to keep living and making changes that bring us further and further into alignment.

This week you’ll feel this urge for realignment in every cell of your body. Renewal reminds us that we’ll know where to focus first. We may need to embrace technology or finally act on our health situation, perhaps we need to set up an art corner or end a relationship or go sign up to a class. You’ll feel it as an idea inside you. When you think of that idea, even if it brings fear or worry as you imagine making space of this thing in your life, it will also make you feel lighter and better as you imagine yourself having or being that thing. That feeling of relief, lightness and hope is your compass. Use that to navigate the days ahead.

(Note: If you’re in my Year of ME membership program I’ll be doing a webinar and channelling tomorrow night about the energies we are stepping into post this Venus-Jupiter conjunction. Check your inbox later today for details. Not in my membership program? Doors open again in early December.)

Supportive crystals this week?

Iolite illuminates your depths and helps you to see what’s hiding, and what you’re not seeing – a beautiful stone for boosting self-belief. It’s an unusual stone, but my pick for this week. Green Aventurine opens you out into possibility, tapping you into the joy of living and that wonderful feeling of gratitude. Any double-terminated crystal or cluster of crystals from the quartz family (think clear quartz, smoky, amethyst or citrine) placed in your workspace or the room where you spend most of your time will amplify these inner rays of soul-energy, helping you to recognise them and helping yourself and others to transform easily and with grace and joy.

Helpful essential oils?

Young Living’s Acceptance and Joy essential oil blends would be my picks for this week. Use Acceptance for emotional healing – diffusing anger and pain, ending procrastination and opening to new directions and opportunities. Joy opens our hearts and helps us to re-engage with the flow of life. It is uplifting, comforting and empowering. Dab a drop of either oil on your Crown Chakra, back of neck, wrists and the soles of your feet, inhale directly or add to your diffuser.

Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this month, but they’ll also make a delicious combination for diffusing. Vetiver will calm and ground us, promoting emotional balance, Lavender keeps us in flow and relaxed,  Ylang Ylang opens our hearts and is supportive when we feel anxious or overwhelmed, and Bergamot for joy, gratitude and optimism.  To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

Setting Clear Boundaries for 2016

“Setting boundaries is a way of caring for myself. It doesn’t make me mean, selfish, or uncaring because I don’t do things your way. I care about me too.”
~ Christine Morgan

2016 is a very important year, for many reasons. One is that it is a foundation year. Our choices in 2016 will set the tone for the next nine-year cycle, magnifying the energy of our thoughts, activities and interests from 2016, and delivering more of that in the coming years.

Think about that for a moment.

Whatever we choose (or by default don’t choose and simply let happen), we’ll be signing ourselves up for more of that in the years to come.

How do you want the next decade to look?

Like the years you’ve just been through? Or something different?

2016 is a year where it benefits us to make space for what is meaningful to us. It’s not enough to simply think about what we want. It’s time to start incorporating the activities and actions that will shape the unfolding of our lives in ways that are pleasing to us. We don’t even need to make wholesale and radical changes – we simply need to make sure that if something is important to us we make a little room for that in our lives in 2016. We only need to make a start, and then consistently keep having that thing show up in our year through conscious choices (that may end up becoming new habits!).

Boundaries become important. As we create time for ourselves and our dreams we must also guard that time so that it is not eroded by old habits of always putting others or unimportant stuff first. The boundary is not just there for others, it is also there for ourselves.

Boundaries create protected spaces. These spaces let us and the world know that something here is important. Those protected spaces reflect our values, our emerging priorities, our precious projects and relationships.

Boundaries are about us saying yes to what matters, and ensuring that what matters is represented in our daily lives.

Boundaries are also about us saying no. No to the relationships, behaviours, thought patterns and beliefs that take us away from our values and what matters most to us. No to the circumstances that limit or harm us, or that needlessly waste our energy and time.

As adults we have choices. 2016 is a great year for exercising those choices.

In 2016, what will you choose?

Becoming Who You Always Were

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Right now, here on retreat, my goal isn’t just to teach my participants new things. Instead, my goal is to help them uncover and live more fully as they already are.

It’s the same for everyone. Inside you, there is already someone magnificent. There is already a whole and comprehensive soul, with gifts to share, and wisdom to express.

You didn’t come to this life broken or incomplete. Sure, we’re all a work in progress, and we evolve and grow in response to the circumstances around us, but fundamentally and energetically we have this core essence that remains constant. Our best life becomes the expression of that essence.

That essence makes itself known to us through our preferences. From an early age we enjoy certain things more than others. We excel at, or stay focused on, particular things. It expresses itself through our personality, and it speaks to us via our intuition.

Intuition is lightning fast. The thought comes to us. The idea arrives fully formed in our minds. We instinctively want one thing, but not another. We feel good about that thing. Something about it calls to us. The knowing or the answer sits inside us. We feel it. It fills our cells with certainty.

But we live in a culture that values reason. That prizes the intellect.

From the earliest age we are taught to doubt that knowing.

Mumma, I want this beading kit.

Why do you want that one, honey?

I don’t know. I just do. (There are no words. Just desire. Inside, the creative energy of the child is fired up. She can see herself making patterns and designs. The colours are so pretty. It’s calling her.)

That’s not a good reason. This toy’s a bit young for you. See, it says here on the box Ages 3 and up. You’re six now. A big girl. Which one do you really want? Don’t you like the doll in the yellow dress better?

After repeated episodes of others influencing our decisions, or questioning our choices, we begin to question them ourselves. Instead of trusting this guiding force within us, we begin to run everything past our conscious mind. We think about it. We reason it out. We find facts for and against.

We are no longer in the realm of feeling, and knowing. We are in our heads. We are thinking, and over-thinking. Our confidence in ourselves and our choices is shot. We begin to look to others for validation and approval…

Our essence is always here, inside us. Our intuition is always here to guide us. There is a great power to be had in allowing ourselves room to simply be. Space to sit with ourselves and what is. Time for letting that intuitive wisdom bubble back up to the surface after having been suppressed so long.

How we tune back in to ourselves? Here are a few simple things you can try:

  • Keep a journal. Write regularly, then read back over it and look for themes. Your true interests and passions will shine through.
  • Spend time on your own in nature. Nature soothes, and strips away all the head talk, leaving you alone with your true, wise self.
  • Seek out activities and hobbies that you enjoy. Spend time doing them, and feeling that sense of joy and being absorbed in something meaningful to you.
  • What made you happy as a child? If you’re not sure. ask someone or look at old photographs.
  • What music, interests or hobbies make the hours fly past?
  • What did you always enjoy doing in the past? (That might mean quite a long time ago!)
  • What things came easily to you? Skills, talents, behaviours.
  • What things do you REALLY not enjoy doing or experiencing? (This show you clearly who you aren’t!)
  • Around what areas do you have the most doubts? Where do you seek the most validation or approval, rather than trusting yourself and your abilities? Where do you hold yourself back? (This is a BIG sign that this thing is very important to you, and part of your natural talent.)

I encourage you to start tuning in, and getting a stronger sense of who you already are, and always were. The authentic essence of you is a beautiful and powerful force, waiting to be expressed in your life.

A Simple Exercise for becoming More Authentic

authenticity1

“We have to dare to be ourselves, however frightening or strange that self may prove to be.”
May Sarton

Ask yourself a question, just one question – and sit in your heartspace to listen for the answer.

How can I be more authentic this week?

To put this another way…

What small steps can you take to better bring yourself into alignment with your best self, with the YOU that your heart longs for you to be?

Who do you aspire to be? What is your heart’s desire?

This week I’m encouraging you to simply BE a little more of that person you’re aspiring to be. Do you want to be more kind, more healthy, more sexy, more honest? Do you long to be a writer, an artist, a mother, or to grow a garden full of flowers and vegetables? Listen to your heart, which always knows.

Ask yourself the question – how do I align with that, how do I live in a way that helps me become more authentic?

Then be brave and take one small action which expresses this energy. Adjust your mindset to feel a little more that you are already becoming this best self, this vision of the future you, and live from that place. Every day.

One week of tiny adjustments can be the start of something deeply fulfilling. It’s a new week. It can also be the start of a new you.
