Sokli’s Lessons About Life – Via A Broken Crystal

“Did you know that pottery can be repaired with gold?” Kami asked. “Then it’s meant to be stronger than before, and more beautiful. Which is awesome, though it seems expensive.”

Her grandmother had nodded. “Makes sense to me,” she said. “Why be broken when you can be gold?”
~ Sarah Rees Brennan

“…in repairing the object you really ended up loving it more, because you now knew its eagerness to be reassembled, and in running a fingertip over its surface you alone could feel its many cracks – a bond stronger than mere possession.”
~ Nicholson Baker

When I take students on Retreat I spend time choosing personal crystals for each of them. These stones then sit in a grid out on the land on my farm, under sun and clouds and moon and stars and rain and wind and the songs of birds and the meanderings of critters.

I meditate with each stone and pour energy, intention and programming into it.

Then on Retreat I teach the participants how to do the same. By the end of our time together their stones have become potent energy tools, and a great comfort to hold in meditation or while doing soul work.

One of my students sent us a message a few days ago. Her crystal broke and she wasn’t sure what to do. This is what she wrote:

My crystal broke. Has it completed its mission with me? Do I need another one? (It would have to be from the bargain basement table 🙁). Transfer the info into something else I have? Maybe another stone Nicole’s given me? How do I transfer? Wing it? Do I just use the broken one? Waaaaaa

My dear friend Sokli (the fairy!) had an immediate answer, and it was one I had not expected. I love Sokli’s response because it is such a powerful reflection on life. This student has suffered from health challenges and other difficulties recently and it is fair to say that they have had a hard time of it although things are now improving again.

From Sokli: Hullo hullo hullo dear friend (we’re keeping the name private). So your rock broke and that is sad but also you broke and you are still okay and we still love you and you are still awesomey so this little rock needs GLUE and then it can remind you that broken things still have power and power and magic and magic and usefulness even with a cracky bit and needing glues. When you get glued back together you can just keep going and that crack is a scar just like when human people and animal people get doctor peoples to sew them up when they get cutted or busted open so just mend it with love and it has even more power than before from your very true friend SOKLI xxxxx

Sokli made me think of the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is glued back together with resin that has been mixed with gold. Instead of hiding the damage it is highlighted and given value so that the piece shares its honest history and is valued more for that history.

Not everything that is broken is devalued.

Broken things can be repaired and their scars become a part of their history and of their story of strength and resilience.

Fairy wisdom is good for all of us.

Much love to you, Nicole xx

Energies of June 2019

“An awake heart is like a sky that pours light.”
~ Hafiz

Hello, Lovelies!

At the beginning of every month, I discuss the energies and gifts of the month ahead and how we can best use them to make our lives satisfying, meaningful and productive. I also choose a card to support the energies of the month. The deck I am using this year is The Good Tarot by Colette Baron-Reid, and June’s card is 8 of Fire.

June brings energies of growth and transformation.

This month you can build on existing situations, foundations and opportunities, further transforming your life through work and self-belief. You’ll start to see results, and your progress will become visible to others too.

The power of teamwork and of focus can’t be overestimated this month. There are so many choices in front of you now, and you may feel like there are too many choices and that everything is moving past you too fast.

If you feel like that, look for some quiet time amid the bustle and haste. Use nature and meditation to bring you back to calm. Choose just a few things on which to focus.

Let the rest go for now, or delegate it to someone else. And get a team together – people who can help and support you. You’ll go so much further together than trying to get it all done on your own.

June puts an emphasis on your health, healing and wellbeing. Don’t let your health slide at the expense of your dreams and goals. Look at ways to work sustainably and get help wherever you can.

Make sure to get a health check, and to keep on top of all of the habits and choices that let you live your best life.

Leave a little time for celebration this month too. Don’t let everything be everyday ordinary.

You don’t need a reason to celebrate – being alive is enough!

Surround yourself with people who support and uplift you.

Do things that make you feel alive. Celebrate others too. Share the joy around.

Fill your life with colour, love and passion. Trust in the journey and believe in good outcomes.

Rest And Find Your Center – Monday Oracle 27 May 2019

“Activity and rest are two vital aspects of life. To find a balance in them is a skill in itself. Wisdom is knowing when to have rest, when to have activity, and how much of each to have. Finding them in each other – activity in rest and rest in activity – is the ultimate freedom.”
~ Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Hello, Lovelies!

Here we are in the final days of May. May has been such a breakthrough month – it’s been a time for positive progress, big leaps forward and fine-tuning of your self-awareness. Lots of lightbulb moments, dramatic shifts and realisations and the odd bit of pattern breaking. So I know you’ll appreciate the energies and gifts of inspiration which the card Rest brings us this week.

Rest is about you recognising it is important to find that balance between sustainability and momentum. Nothing can burn bright endlessly. Everything needs replenishment. So what nourishes and replenishes you?

It’s easy to think of food and exercise as nourishment. They are, but we are also soulful creatures with hungry minds and searching souls. Our souls have their own appetites. Maybe you need to go watch a football game and revel in being part of the larger crowd. Perhaps live music will fill you up, or a wine and cheese tasting at your local cellars. An early-morning surf could be your thing, or a picnic with family or friends, or an intimate date with your beloved. How long has it been since you read a book, listened to the birds in the backyard, visited a new restaurant or attended a workshop about something that interests you?

Rest is also about trying to work out how to incorporate rest into your every day, rest into your week or your weekend or your month. It’s about you thinking about longer holidays. Can you find a work/life rhythm that works for you? Can you start work earlier and finish earlier, or give yourself a later start one day a week? Can you clear one day on your weekend to simply relax and have time for yourself? Can you put the kids in care one afternoon a week to create a window of time just for you?

The messages and wisdom of Rest help you to become mindful about creating sustainability in your life so that you don’t burn out.

Supportive crystals this week?

Pyrite provides passion, power and protection. It builds determination and self-belief.  Dalmatian Jasper helps you move forward, living in mindfulness. It releases stress and amplifies joy. Rose Quartz (pictured) is a stone of love and nurture – it helps you to be open to the giving and receiving of love. Yellow Obsidian is a gently shielding stone that helps you to think clearly and to break patterns of self-criticism and negative thinking. It aids in looking for positive solutions to life’s dilemmas and for embracing change.

Helpful essential oils?

This week look to create a nurturing blend from any or all of the following oils:
Lavender keeps us in flow and relaxed, Neroli invites optimism and a sense of safety, Frankincense elevates our mood and promotes spiritual connection and intuition while keeping us grounded and Ylang Ylang opens our hearts and is supportive when we feel anxious or exhausted. To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your diffuser.

I’m passionate about essential oils and their capacity to support our wellness journey and our spiritual and emotional wellbeing. If you’d like to know more or want to source the oils I recommend and trust visit this site or contact me at channelnc@gmail.com

Guided Meditation Bundle

Looking for energetic and soul replenishment?

I’ve bundled together four powerful guided downloadable meditations and created a companion workbook to support you in your spiritual journey. The Stardust Connection Meditation Bundle will help you to connect with and explore Earth Energies, Ancestor Energies, your Solar Plexus energies and personal power, and the Stardust Energies. There is over an hour’s worth of Guided Meditations and a 38-page workbook. The workbook holds specific instructions for using the four guided meditations, as well as journalling activities and reflection/awareness exercises.

The material in the Stardust Connection Meditation Bundle can be used at any time over the next four years, and beyond. My intention with this bundle is to help you become confident in your direction, your intuition, and your contribution to the unfolding history of the world and humanity. To access the bundle or to learn more about it go to my store or click on this link.

BE gentle with yourself this week. DO your best to tune in and care for yourself, and remember that REST is always worthwhile.

Lots of love, Nicole ❤ xx

PS: Monday’s oracle card, Rest, is from the Sacred Power Reading Cards by Anna Stark . I use any cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book.

Building a New Crystal Grid

“Seriously, Nicole. These rocks weigh a tonne! I’ll get the tractor or we’ll be here til next year.” ~ Ben, ever-patient husband and rock shifter

We’ve been busy over the past few weeks, adding to a crystal grid built out on the earth here on my farm.

We prepared the site, Ben slashed the grass short, we gridded out the central stones and then we began constructing the complex design stone by stone.

In Ben’s massive farm shed where he houses our tractors we have racks and racks of stones. I’ve been collecting them for over twenty-five years. There are plenty here for any kind of grid we may like to construct, and many of them have already been in other grids. The energy they create is incredible.

Here’s Ben taking down the very old trays of my most precious smaller lasers, generators, raw points and Lemurian singing quartz.

It holds all the crystals that I will take to my Fairy Tea Party.

It holds all the crystals for my students in the upcoming Temple of Light Shamanic Meditation Retreat.

It holds all the crystals for my end-of-year event and for ‘Platform’ my final retreat for the year. (This is a Retreat for those of you who have a Calling and who need to get your message out into the world. We’ll be helping you craft your message, identify your audience and get your book or course outline written as well as a lot of other important practical and creative stuff like using social media. If that sounds like you, email my PA Trish Lyons directly at nicolecodyinfo@gmail.com and she’ll add you to our pre-course list so you can be the first to access the course information and early-bird bookings.)

There are so many stones in this grid.

Wild stones. Polished stones. Tumbled stones. Orbs and generators. A cave. Working Stones and Shaman Stones, Meditation Stones, Healing Stones, Art Stones and Personal Talismans.

It’s been a long time since we’ve made a grid this big, or this magical.

Right now it’s being washed by gentle rain, and sung to by all the birds at out farm.

When the time is right I’ll post some images and perhaps add some extra stones for you.

Happy Weekend!
Lots of love, Nicole ❤ xx

My Favourite Crystals For Spiritual Connection

2013-12-15 19.05.45

“The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.”
~ W.B. Yeats

Meditation, connecting with our guides, getting into a channelling space or spiritual flow, doing readings or healings, clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, working with energy, astral travelling, improving our psychic and metaphysical abilities – all of these things can be made stronger and easier with the help of crystals.

Here are my favourite stones for connection, and how you can use them too.

Amethyst

A great all-rounder. Helps beginner psychics to tune in and trust. Helps advanced practitioners to deepen and strengthen their abilities. Perfect for helping you with ‘seeing and hearing’ all things metaphysical. Activates Crown and Third Eye chakras. Want to meet your guides? Use amethyst.

Labradorite

A stone for strengthening intuition and healing abilities, especially the ability to channel energy through your hands. Wakes up latent psychic abilities and taps you into past life memories clearly and easily. Helps you to bring through answers and guidance for self and others. A terrific stone for personal growth and reflection.

Clear Quartz

Opens the Crown Chakra, infuses you with white light, and enhances all of your natural psychic and intuitive abilities. Clear quartz will help show you who you are, what your gifts are, and how you can best use them. Can be used for all forms of metaphysical work. Brilliant for calming the mind and helping you expand your energy and tune in to messages. Accelerates spiritual growth. Not all stones will suit beginners (you may get a really bumpy ride that is uncomfortably fast!). A great stone to program and for all kinds of healing and grid work. A stunning meditation companion stone. Connects you into Higher Guides. Builds discipline and focus.

Orange or Golden Calcite

The perfect beginners stone for those who wish to channel information for themselves and others. Gentle energies to enhance clear communication with the higher realms. Helps calm mental chatter and strengthens trust in the messages and images you receive. Boosts creativity and intuition. An amazing stone for doing all forms of channelled writing and art.

Lapis Lazuli

This is THE stone for connecting into past lives, past life remembrance and the Akashic Records. Also good for astral travel and lucid dreaming. Not a beginners stone, but those who are attracted to lapis are never beginners anyway, even if they feel that way to start. Brings rapid remembering of your healing and psychic abilities. Helps change makers to bring about that change. Enhances the Throat-Heart-Crown Chakra connections and promotes clear speaking. Reduces stress and anxiety, helping you to accept that you are different and that you have a calling. A stone for those who want to dedicate their lives to some form of spiritual or higher service, including heart-centred entrepreneurs, leaders and business people.

Rhyolite

A delicious stone for connecting into off-world energies, and for all forms of channelled and automatic writing – especially writing with your Guides and Higher Self. Some rhyolites also aid connection to the fairy realms, to nature and nature spirits, to the oceans and cetaceans, and to trees. A soothing and grounding stone that holds much magic. Used in meditation it will help you to see energy, auras and to bring breakthroughs in your thoughts, behaviour patterns and healing. Stimulates creativity and innovation, including guided wisdoms that enhance your own abilities and knowledge.

Rose Quartz

This yummy stone nurtures us as it opens and activates our Heart and Crown chakras. This stone works from love, and helps all that you do to come from love. The perfect stone for connecting into your Guardian Angel, and the Angels of others, as well as to guides who come to work with us offering messages of love, hope and support. A terrific stone for children, and for beginners, but don’t underestimate its power. Every lightworker needs a rose quartz for nourishing and supporting their emotional and spiritual energies. A giving and teaching stone.
