Monday Oracle 25 February 2019

“Write it. Shoot it. Publish it. Crochet it, sauté it, whatever. MAKE.” ~ Joss Whedon

Hello, Lovelies!

As we slide towards March let’s use these last few days of February well. February is a month for action and self-empowerment – for taking your plans and turning them into goals, action steps and habits. It’s a month for speaking your truth and standing your ground. It’s a month for creating positive change, embracing your individuality and investing in yourself and your dreams. It’s a short month that packs a big punch. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the card Creation brings us.

This week Creation encourages us to get into our studios or art spaces and get our hands dirty as we craft, glue, paint and create. Or maybe we need to write every day, build a garden, renovate some furniture, knit the start of a new sweater, pull our website together, create a course or bake up a storm.

It’s not a week for thinking about art or planning the art we might make in the future. It’s not a week for endlessly talking about the art in our heads or our hearts. No. It’s a week for MAKING and CREATING.

Expect inspiration.

Expect creative clarity to come as you work on things. Just get started. Flow will come later.

Expect to power on through with someting new or an existing creative project.

And if you don’t have a project to work on? Time to sign up for some kind of class that excites or inspires you.

Supportive crystals this week?

Blue Lace Agate supports your Throat Chakra, helping you to find your voice and speak your truth. It’s a great stone for all forms of communication, and it also brings a sense of calm. Sunstone helps you to sit in a place of abundance thinking so that you see the blessings and possibilities in your life. Fluorite taps you into your innate creativity, fires up your inspiration and helps you to be honest, objective and innovative with your work. Orange Calcite (pictured) connects you to creativity, inspiration and your heart’s desires and helps you to develop confidence in yourself and your dreams. Use it to help you see your first steps forward.

Helpful essential oils?

Geranium is brilliant for helping you relax, unwind and get connected to your creative and intuitive essence. It will uplift you and stimulate creativity, self-confidence and emotional flow – all energies that are great for shifting you into a more positive space. If you’re an over-giver and your tank is dry, Geranium oil will fill you back up again. Apply it to your pulse points at wrist, neck and over heart like a perfume. Place a few drops in your bath water. Diffuse it. One of my favourite uses is as a centering and inspiring pick-me-up. Put a drop in the palm of your hand, rub hands together and then inhale the aroma.

I’m passionate about essential oils and their capacity to support our wellness journey and our spiritual and emotional wellbeing. If you’d like to know more or want to source the oils I recommend and trust visit this site or contact me at channelnc@gmail.com

Living From Your Heart Space -Monday Oracle 7 January 2019

“Focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses.
Focus on your character, not your reputation.
Focus on your blessings, not your misfortunes.”
~ Roy T. Bennett

Hello, Lovelies!

This year as I present our #MondayOracle I am dividing the year into Quarters, to correspond with all of us in the community who are using my YOM Planner. Each quarter of 2019 has different energetic themes, so I will choose an oracle or tarot deck that best supports those themes. For our First Quarter, which is all about developing your focus, alignment and direction I will be using the Peace Oracle by Toni Carmine Salerno and Leela J. Williams.

January is a month for planning, and for becoming clear about what matters to you. It’s a month for prioritising, honouring your heart and putting routines and acts of self-care into place for the year ahead. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the card Heart Space brings us.

Heart Space reminds us that when we listen to our hearts and do what we love – even if that is a hobby or something we fit into our downtime, like music or gardening or rollerball derby or baking bread – our life becomes richer and more satisfying. We can use these experiences that enrich us to top up the well of love inside us from which we give to others, and that also feeds our creative acts. This prevents us from burning out, running dry or moving into overwhelm and resentment.

This week give thought to the relationships, activities and places that nourish and nurture you. Think about how you can incorporate these into your life on a regular basis. This kind of self-care can be life-changing as it moves you back into energetic flow and aligns you with what matters most to you.

It’s a beautiful week for any kind of creative venture so bake, paint, craft, play, make, write, and create. Or go one further and sign up to a creative class or carve out some dedicated time and space for your art.

Most importantly, don’t just think about it. ACT ON IT! Make a deliberate effort to nurture your heart space this week. DO things that fill you up. Make time for yourself and your dreams, and for doing what you love. This is especially important if your life is stressful and demanding. And remember that what we focus on, multiplies. So focus on what makes you happy and what helps you to feel good about your life. Take your focus away from your problems and look to solutions or something that can bring an energy of gratitude to your life.

Heart Space teaches us that when we begin to live from a place of honouring our own needs, and become happier as a result of better boundaries, self-care and engaging in activities that nourish us we become magnetic to better opportunities, love, synchronicity and magic. All because we moved into flow…

Green Aventurine supports you to be playful, joyful and optimistic about life.

Grapefruit essential oil will promote optimism and help you to be able to feel into what uplifts you and makes you happy. It’s a super choice if you’re feeling a bit flat or blue. Palmarosa stabilises your emotions and rejuvenates you when you are feeling tired or emotionally battered and bruised. It’s gentle nature will help recenter you when you’ve lost your way.

A Perfectly Wonderful Week For Adventures – Monday Oracle 3 December 2018

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.
~  Roald Dahl

Hello, Lovelies!

December is a month for planning and dreaming, interspersed with fun, curiosity, friendship and celebration.  Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the oracle card Child of Wands brings us.

This card heralds delightful energies for a week of adventure. For some people that means outings, unexpected invitations or a sudden strong yearning to break free and go do something different instead of being shackled to routine and boredom.

You’ll also find a note of optimism creeping in, and a newfound appreciation for the small details of your life and the world around you.

It’s a week of surprises, inspired thinking, emotional shifts and big breakthroughs. You’ll have an extra store of emotional courage and personal bravery this week, helping you to put yourself out into the world. Child of Wands reminds us that we can go beyond our current limits, and that we can choose to see ourselves and our lives differently – so that a new and brighter future becomes possible. Map those ideas out and begin making a plan. Ideas are no good if they have no action to back them up and turn them from thought into reality.

If you’re a creative soul you’ll find the ideas literally pouring into your brain and body this week, and you’ll feel itchy for some kind of outlet for the expression of all of this energy. Make sure you take the time to capture those ideas in a recording or on paper. Then make a start, no matter how small. It could end up being a life-changing project for you!

Supportive crystals this week?

Petrified Wood promotes compassion, wonder, curiosity and benevolence. It is a stone for healing old hurts and allowing hope back into your heart. Amazonite helps you to live bravely and from your heart, especially in regard to your creative projects. It will boost self-confidence and self-worth. Orange Calcite connects you to inspiration and is great for all forms of creativity. Green Aventurine (pictured) helps you to relax into the flow of life, tapping you into the joy of living and that wonderful feeling of gratitude.

Helpful essential oils?

Hands down it’s Geranium again this week. Geranium is such an underestimated essential oil. With its sweet floral scent it’s brilliant for helping you relax, unwind and get connected to your essence. It will uplift you and stimulate creativity, sensuality and emotional flow – all energies that are great for shifting us into a more creative space.

(Here’s a simple three-minute meditation you can do using geranium or any of your favourite essential oils – click here)

For relaxing, enjoying life and lifting your mood try any of these oils on their own or in combination – Wild Orange, Lavender, Geranium, Frankincense and Cinnamon Bark. Cinnamon gives that lovely spicy Christmassy feel to a blend, helping put your house in the holiday mood.

I’m passionate about essential oils and their capacity to support our wellness journey and our spiritual and emotional wellbeing. If you’d like to know more or want to source the oils I recommend and trust visit this site or contact me at channelnc@gmail.com

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

A Week For Clarity and Purpose – Monday Oracle 26 November 2018

“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” ~ C.S. Lewis

Hello, Lovelies!

November is an unusual month, gifting us energies in two different but interlinked areas. The first area is spiritual development. It’s a great month for all forms of metaphysical work, for clarifying our Life Path and for honouring a life-calling by owning our capacity to share knowledge. The second area is our connection to the natural world, and to the nature spirits of the Earth. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the oracle card Six of Crystals brings us.

I love this card. The message is beautifully summed up by one of my favourite songs from The Sound of MusicClimb Every Mountain. Its message is encouraging us to climb every mountain in pursuit of our dream, or of finding whatever that dream is for us if we don’t know yet. It’s sung by the Abbess to the young nun Maria who is struggling to fit in and find her path.

At the end of the movie the song is played again as a refrain as Maria and the Von Trapp family flee over the mountains into Switzerland to escape Nazi-occupied Austria. Maria has found her dream and committed herself to it completely.

This week we’re encouraged to really step back from our everyday lives and truly think about what our dreams are. Our lives are precious and our dreams matter. Six of Crystals reminds us to keep our dreams at the fore and strive towards them. For some of you this also means that you will be the one leading others on the road you have already travelled as you help them to achieve the things that you already know and practice, or have overcome.

No dream to follow?

Then rest. It’s impossible to be inspired or creative when we are exhausted and dispirited. Take steps to simplify your life and make the changes you need to gently restore your wellbeing and vitality. Spend some time in nature, even if that’s as simple as walking home after work, sitting in the sun at lunchtime or doing some yardwork on the weekend.

Rest – that’s what I’ve been doing as I recover from this latest health hiccup. At first I found it frustrating to be so incapacitated but once I surrendered to it there were many gifts for me in that quiet slow space. Anyway, I’ll tell you more about that tomorrow. I’m easing back into the world, slowly slowly. So grateful for that – I’ve missed you all enormously.

Supportive crystals this week?

Que Sera lifts your vibration and enables you to merge with your own soul knowledge. It’s a stone for personal and spiritual empowerment. Orange Calcite connects you to creativity, inspiration and your heart’s desires and helps you to develop confidence in yourself and your dreams. Use it to help you see your first steps forward. Amethyst (pictured) helps you tune in to spiritual guidance and also helps you to think deeply about your dreams and challenges in ways that allow solutions to be found. Tiger Eye will help you focus, make big decisions and act with integrity and courage. Garnet connects you into the fairy realms, to trees and the earth and all nature spirits. It grounds you and helps you to sit in a vibration of wealth and abundance.

Helpful essential oils?

If you’re ready for clarity and direction:  Patchouli essential oil grounds you and opens you to your Higher Self and intuitive wisdom in a gentle and reassuring way. Cedarwood essential oil enhances all forms of spiritual connection, and creates awareness of the natural world and the energies of nature. Arborvitae creates spiritual trust and is grounding and opening – it’s one of my favourite oils, especially when I meditate (use it with a couple of drops of Frankincense and you’ll be flying in your meditations too!). Use these oils in a diffuser, rub on soles of feet or simply drop some into your palms, rub together and inhale.

If you’re exhausted, discouraged or stuck:  Geranium is brilliant for helping you relax, unwind and get connected to your creative and intuitive essence.
