A Week for Action! – Monday Oracle 4 February 2019

“Start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” ~ St. Francis Of Assisi

Hello, Lovelies!

February is a month for action and self-empowerment – for taking your plans and turning them into goals, action steps and habits. It’s a month for speaking your truth and standing your ground. It’s a month for creating positive change, embracing your individuality and investing in yourself and your dreams. It’s a short month that packs a big punch! Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the card New Beginning brings us.

January was a month of planning, of identifying what we want more of and less of in our lives OR of being shown that by the Universe getting right up in our faces and poking her bony finger in our breastbone as the world fell apart around us while saying ‘Do you get it yet?’ (Hopefully, your answer was yes!)

We can’t keep repeating the same old patterns this year. We don’t want to. We can’t afford to. So here is February to help us get firmly on a better path – one that truly supports our goals, dreams, talents and wise inner self.

The week New Beginnings urges us not to quit on the things we started in January and where we’ve already fallen off the wagon. Broke your diet already? Make a list, do a shop, plan and pre-prepare your meals and start again. Slept in instead of going to the gym? Start again tomorrow. Meanwhile, don’t cave, decide you’re a loser and eat an entire tub of icecream. NO. You’ve got this. It’s normal to be wonky when we are trying something new. So you missed the early-morning gym session? Go for a walk. Hydrate. Decide to do better. Haven’t even begun to tidy the mess that is your home? Go pick one drawer, in one room. Or tackle the dirty dishes in the sink. Take a photo of ‘the before’. Tidy it. Take another photo. Compare the two. Remind yourself that progress is possible and that even the tiniest of steps forward is still a step forward. Lots of tiny steps and suddenly you’ll be a long way forward from where you are right now.

New Beginnings helps us to understand that the hardest part of change is committing and getting started because we don’t have any momentum yet, and the results of decisions and actions (or lack thereof) we made yesterday are all we can see. Don’t let your current circumstances dictate your future. Declare self-sovereignty, pick something and just make a start.

New Beginnings also reminds us that between the periods of doing and busy-ness we need to rest, to recharge and to have some fun. Change, healing and help for us and our dreams are all possible. Balance is everything this year and slow and steady will give lasting benefits over big efforts followed by crash and burn. You KNOW this is true so take it to heart. Be done with working and living unsustainably. Take time to build nurture and meaning into your daily life.

Need help to get started? Find a class, coach, course, buddy or mentor to provide support and motivation. (Unless that’s another one of your procrastination patterns, in which case just get on with it!)

PS: Monday’s oracle card, ‘New Beginning’, is from the Peace Oracle. I use any cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book.

Energies of August – 2018

“Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all is a form of planning.”
~ Gloria Steinem

Hello, Lovelies :)

August is here, bringing a delicious basket of delights. It’s a month for creativity in all forms and for getting back into the flow of life again. You’ll find a lift in your mood and a clear road ahead so get ready to make the most of the opportunities all around you.

Cards for the Month:

I’ve chosen two cards for August for you: one from Colette Baron-Reid’s Enchanted Map and one from Steven Farmer’s Earth Magic Oracle. Please note I don’t use these cards in a conventional way, but rather as a stimulus for channeled information.

Here is what I have received from each card:

“You are essentially who you create yourself to be and all that occurs in your life is the result of your own making.”
~  Stephen Richards

Could there be a bigger month for creative energies in 2018? I don’t think so! In August
we step into a virtual river of inspiration and ideas. Opportunities and synchronicities
appear out of thin air. Stuckness dissolves and we are able to take huge leaps forward
with ease and grace.

We’re empowered to make decisions and to instigate great change this month.

We feel comfortable to be in a position of authority in our own lives, and our intuition shows us solutions to problems that have puzzled us for months or even years.

Suddenly the answers are obvious and the timing is right.

The second card I’ve chosen is Spring Equinox.

“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”
~Maya Angelou

It’s a wonderful month for taking lessons in anything to do with the arts, languages or
practical creativity – such as cooking or pottery.

We’ll find talents we weren’t even aware of and our intuition will guide us towards satisfying new hobbies and interests.

For some people they will find the creative, social or business idea that will be their
legacy. For others it will be time to step into the role of wizard, teacher or mentor within
their community, or to create a community where none exists.

It’s a month for creativity, spirituality, mysticism, shamanism, profound thinking and
revelation, gifted and channelled wisdom and insights and all kinds of deeper psychic
connection and inner journeying work.

Best crystals this month?

Carnelian and Ruby Zoisite

Carnelian improves physical energy, detoxifies the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies, and helps to boost and rebalance hormones and digestion. It also dispels self-doubt and negativity, strengthening self-esteem, confidence and creativity.

Ruby Zoisite is a stone of transformation, helping you to be empowered in your life. It elevates your confidence and authority and improves fertility, imagination and innovation.

Essential oils to support your journey?

Young Living’s Believe blend is my choice for August. Containing Ylang-Ylang, Idaho Blasalm Fir, Frankincense, Geranium, Idaho Blue Spruce, Coriander, and Bergamot it has a fresh, uplifting aroma and I find it very grounding and centering. I love this oil for helping me get into a space of self-belief, empowerment and flow. And gee it gets the creative juices flowing! When I am planning my life, visualising my future or working on a project that is important to me Believe is my go-to oil. Usage: A drop over your heart and on your wrists as a perfume and/or on crown of head, back of neck and behind ears work well. So does diffusing the oil. It’s instantly grounding and connecting, and it brings a sense of peace, certainty and confidence.

Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own but they’ll also make a great combination for diffusing. Bergamot is uplifting, busts stress and helps us overcome self-doubt. Frankincense elevates our mood and promotes spiritual connection and intuition, Ylang-Ylang opens our hearts and minds,  and it helps us to feel deserving and open to abundance, Spruce is a deeply spiritual oil – holding the wisdom of the forest it links our lefts and right brain bringing balance, calm and centering.  To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

Wishing you a love-filled, satisfying and wonder-full August.

What To Do When You’re Stuck

“You need to know things the others don’t know. It’s what no one knows about you that allows you to know yourself.”
~  Don DeLillo

This week’s energies support deep diving and moving into that space of high creativity. This kind of creativity is also a spiritual space, so it’s perfect for any kind of soul work. (If you’d like a recap of the week ahead go here )

It’s awesome energy if you already have a project or plan to work on.

But what if you don’t?

Today’s post is for those of you who are stuck, those of you for whom life just isn’t working right now, those of you who are lost.

Give yourself a good half-hour to do some investigation of your stuckness (big stuck might need more time or multiple sessions – I know this from previous experience!) and gather the following tools:

  • a journal and some pens
  • a deck of tarot or oracle cards where you really like the pictures
  • your favourite crystal or stone (optional but good)

I’d also highly recommend a cup of tea or your favourite non-alcoholic beverage, because soul work can be thirsty work, and what isn’t made better by a cup of tea?

Image by Mysterious Lass at deviantart.com

1. Start by holding your crystal if you have chosen one, and close your eyes. Allow your breathing to become calm, and let yourself relax. Then breathe in white light or draw it in through the crown chakra at the top of your head. Offer up a prayer that everything you do be for the Highest Good. Ask your Highest Self, Guides, Angels, Ancestors or God to guide you. Say or think the intention ‘Show me why I am stuck, and help me see what to do next.’

2. Open your eyes. Hold your crystal or place it beside you while you work (feel free to pick it up and hold it again if you need some energy or encouragement). Take your journal and a pen and write whatever comes, using any of the following prompts. Write your prompt into your journal and then keep writing in response to that prompt. Don’t edit yourself. Just let the words flow.

  • I’m stuck because…
  • I hate my life right now because…
  • What I really don’t like is…
  • What I really want is…
  • What do I need to tell myself right now…
  • What do I really need to know right now…
  • Who am I?
  • What do I want?
  • Where am I going?
  • What’s better for me?
  • I’d rather be doing…

3. If you’re super stuck, and nothing is coming, keep asking yourself Why? Give yourself every Why question you can think of. If you ask Why am I stuck? and then write This is stupid! ask yourself Why is this stupid? Eventually one of the Why questions will pry free all of the feelings and thoughts and answers that are stuck within you. Why are you stuck? Why can’t you do this? Why isn’t this working? Why don’t you know? Why is this a dumb exercise? Why? Why? Why?

4. You’ll end up with words on the page. Hooray! That’s the beginning of unstuckness. Go back over what you’ve written with a highlighter or a pen in another colour where you can underline key words and phrases. Highlight anything that stands out to you.

5. Now choose one of those highlighted areas to investigate further. (I told you this was a week for diving deep.) Write the words you’ve highlighted into your journal again as a new entry, Eg: My relationship with Steve. Close your eyes again, breathe deeply and bring yourself to a place of calm. Feel your energetic team and your Higher Self ready to guide you. Fill yourself with white light and really feel into that support and connection. When you’re ready open your eyes again and pick up your oracle or tarot cards. Shuffle them, thinking about your relationship with Steve. Then choose three cards. The first card shows you where you are now. The second card shows you what the issue or limitation is. The final card shows you your opportunity or outcome. Look at the first card, and really pay attention to whatever thoughts, emotions or ideas come to you, and what the imagery of the card says to you in relation to where you are now with this situation. Then write what comes to you from looking at the card. Repeat this process for the second card, looking to understand what the issues or limitations are. Now use the final card to explore what the opportunities or outcomes can be.

Be open to situations where you may now need to find a coach, mentor or qualified therapist. Sometimes we can own and understand the problem but need help framing up a solution.

Our heart knows what it wants. Our soul can guide us. All we ever need to do is make time for that questing and connection.

As you begin to get unstuck again expect more answers, more flow and a return to inspiration. You’ve got this!

Much love, Nicole ❤ xx

PS – If you missed my Facebook Live video over on my Cauldrons and Cupcakes page yesterday, or if you aren’t on Facebook you can watch it again here. I talk about the energies of this week, the crystals and essential oils that will support you, and some tips about how to work with the energies of the week ahead:

Monday Oracle – October 16, 2017

Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.
~Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

Hello, Lovelies!

If you read my forecast for October, you’ll know that it’s a month of energies of love, friendship, community and togetherness. It’s also a month for getting creative and for self-acceptance.

Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts which the oracle card Creation brings us.

So, what awareness does Creation bring us this week?

This week we’re reminded to honour what is precious to us creatively. It might be an artistic project or an entrepreneurial one. We might want to renovate a room, overhaul our wardrobe, remodel ourselves and our well-being, work on an existing idea or research a new one.

The energies of this week support deep diving with all creative work. It will be easier to focus, easier to give ourselves over to the flow of ideas. It’s a week for making, doing, creating, shaping, designing and constructing.

We’ll also find that clarity which has been eluding us. We’ll see where to put our focus, and what needs to be the priority.

Creativity is soul work, and this week you’ll feel that connection to your own heart and soul, as well as to a bigger creative energy. Call that inspiration, God, Universal Energy, Spirit or whatever else feels appropriate to you. Be open to those whispers and visions that guide you forward. Know that creating can become a calling.

Supportive crystals this week?

Orange Calcite is the bee’s knees this week. Use it to tune in to inspiration and to help those creative idea flow. It’s also a wonderful beginner stone for tuning in to the spiritual realms.  Red Jasper will keep you grounded, even as the ideas flow, and gift you stamina and resilience if you end up burning the candle at both ends. Fluorite helps us to be honest, objective and innovative with our creativity.  Green Aventurine moves us past old blockages and stuck thinking, tapping us into the joy of living and that wonderful feeling of gratitude.

Helpful essential oils?

I’m loving Young Living’s Clarity and Believe blends for October. Use Clarity for focus, inspiration and breakthroughs. Dab a drop on your Crown Chakra and the soles of your feet, inhale directly or add to your diffuser. Use Believe when you are doubting yourself and want to find your confidence and self-belief. It’s great to inhale directly, diffuse or add a drop to Heart Chakra and inner wrists. A few drops added to your bath make for magical self-care.

Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this month, but they also make a delicious combination for diffusing. Frankincense elevates our mood and promotes spiritual connection and intuition, Lavender keeps us in flow and relaxed,  Ylang Ylang opens our hearts and is supportive when we feel anxious or overwhelmed, and Bergamot for joy, gratitude and optimism. To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

PS: Monday’s oracle card, ‘Creation’, is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman. I use any cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book.

Making My Life Work for Me! – A 6 Week Journal Program

“I can choose either to be a victim of the world or an adventurer in search of treasure. It’s all a question of how I view my life.” ~ Paulo Coelho

I’ve been quite overwhelmed with the flood of messages and emails since yesterday’s post on Remembering to take care of YOU!  Seems that many of you are feeling unfulfilled, overwhelmed, under-appreciated, stuck in a life where you’re just going through the motions or too busy looking after everyone else to even start on the things that are dear to your hearts.

Well my lovelies, that just isn’t good enough!  You are here to shine your light in the world! You have talents and desires that deserve airplay in your lives!

Perhaps you may remember me talking about the energies of 2013

‘2013 is a foundation year of growth and positive change, where we are reflecting these energies out from ourselves as we inhabit a place of stronger authenticity, awareness and connection. This year, as we sit in our personal power, we will feel a desire to contribute, to explore, to dream up new ways of being, and to action those dreams in the world.  It is a time for visionaries, leaders and the building of lasting change.’

Because I want you to make the most of this fantastic energy for change I’ve decided to create a simple weekly course, delivered right here each Monday over the following 6 weeks, to help you get clear about what’s important to you and how to make your life more meaningful and satisfying.

The foundation of this course is going to be:

  • Journalling
  • Gratitude
  • Meditation, and
  • Visualisation

and I’ll be holding your hand every step of the way.

'Nothing's gonna harm you' by Pulmoll

‘Nothing’s gonna harm you’ by Pulmoll

So to get ready for next Monday I need you to do a few things;

  1. Find or buy yourself a journal.  Choose one without lines because we need to be able to write, draw and glue stuff.  Let it be big enough that you can actually fit some stuff on the pages.  It doesn’t need to be expensive – even a kid’s cheap scrapbook or scribble book would do.
  2. Get some art materials together.  Nothing fancy – just some scissors, glue, coloured crayons or felt pens, and some old magazines you can cut up. You’ll also need some pens or pencils for writing with.
  3. Find a scarf, shawl or wrap in a favourite colour that empowers you.
  4. Choose a deck of positive cards (such as Angel Cards etc) or runes and a rune book.
  5. Select a crystal of your choice.

It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be enlightening. And it’s going to propel you into action.  Hooray for that! Bless ♥ xx
