Clarity and Insight! – Monday Oracle 6 May 2019

“In today’s complex and fast-moving world, what we need even more than foresight or hindsight is insight.” ~ Anonymous

Hello, Lovelies!

May is such a breakthrough month – it’s a time for positive progress, big leaps forward and fine-tuning of your self-awareness. Use experts and wise people to help you move past stuckness and overwhelm, and find your balance between sustainability and momentum. Expect your own wisdom to grow too this month! Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the card Lightningbrings us.

I’m just loving this week’s energies! They are truly supportive of soul growth and of getting those lightbulb moments that can change your life.

Lightning delivers a powerful message. This week is all about helping you see with really clear insight what’s working and what’s missing in your life.

This is a week for divine revelations that spark incredible clarity. You know – that sudden energy when you look at something as if you are finally seeing it clearly for the first time and you think ‘Oh my God, my marriage is not working’ or ‘Wow, this is a brilliant business idea’.

That clarity may also be delivered to you by someone else. A comment or action from another person may shatter old beliefs or set you off on a whole new life course. Embrace it, and know you are being given a push by the Universe to move into stronger alignment with your Highest Good.

This is a week for getting insights around the things that are necessary for your growth, new directions or projects, and for next steps in your life.

Supportive crystals this week?

Pyrite provides passion, power and protection. It builds determination and self-belief.
Dalmatian Jasper (pictured) helps you move forward, living in mindfulness. It releases stress and amplifies joy. Clear Quartz amplifies intuition and your ability to tune in to Universal and Personal Wisdom. Use it to get clear about what matters in your life! Orange Calciteconnects you to creativity, inspiration and your heart’s desires and helps you to develop confidence in yourself and your dreams. Use it to help you see your next steps forward.

Helpful essential oils?

I’m loving Frankincense and Neroli this week. Use Frankincense for focus, inspiration and breakthroughs. Dab a drop on your Crown Chakra and the soles of your feet, inhale directly or add to your diffuser. Use Neroli to help you move back to a place of contentment, confidence and happiness. It’s great to inhale directly, diffuse or add a drop to Heart Chakra, throat and inner wrists like perfume. A few drops added to your bath make for magical self-care.

I’m passionate about essential oils and their capacity to support our wellness journey and our spiritual and emotional wellbeing. If you’d like to know more or want to source the oils I recommend and trust visit this site or contact me at channelnc@gmail.com

Living from Self Awareness – Monday Oracle, 20 November 2017

We cannot think of being acceptable to others until we have first proven acceptable to ourselves.
~ Malcolm X

Hello, Lovelies!

November is a month for knowing ourselves deeply, for healing old hurts and for prioritising and redesigning our lives so that they better represent the person we are and the person we want to become.

Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts which the oracle card Self Worth brings us.

So, what awareness does Self-Worth bring us this week?

This week we are invited to step into self-sovereignty. When we are sovereign in our lives we live from the truth that is in our hearts. We care for ourselves and we make choices that are good for us and which are aligned to our values and interests.

If you’re out of alignment somewhere this week you’ll know it. Suddenly you’ll feel it as a deep truth within your body: you’ll know without a flicker or a doubt that you have to lose the weight, change jobs, end the marriage, start speaking up at work, make a debt-management plan, go travelling, get more down time, stop drinking Red Bull, offer your gifts to the world, write that book, stop going to family Christmas, or you’ll know you need to change your appearance, move to another city, go swimming with the dolphins, become an activitist… So many possibilities, and one of them will be true for you. Maybe more.

When we know something in our body as truth it’s a strong conviction. We don’t need to talk ourselves into it. It just is. This knowledge about ourselves sits within us burning bright. It demands to be acted upon. And we want to, even if it puts us outside our comfort zone. We won’t need to discuss it or canvas opinions or advice. We’ll just know. We’ll just decide. Self-sovereignty is a quiet power. But don’t underestimate its life-changing force.

Self-sovereignty can be uncomfortable at first if we have lived our lives putting other people’s needs, expectations and happiness ahead of our own. For many sensitive people who are highly attuned to the energies of others it can be hard to start feeling into who we really are and what is true for us because of the external influences that have always shaped our actions and decisions. You may feel a little (or a lot) lost before you find your way. Your strongest feelings this week may be ‘I can’t do this anymore’, without knowing what to do next. Don’t see feeling lost as a bad thing. Understand that it is a sign that you have moved away from the shore of your old way of being. You are in awareness now. You can’t keep living in denial of your truth. You can’t do that old thing anymore. Knowing this creates separation. It opens up possibilities. Soon the wind will catch your sails and send you in a new direction, one you may not have even contemplated before.

Self-Sovereignty is also a position that reminds that what we can conceive and believe we can draw to us. It’s a week for thinking about how we want our life to change and acting upon it. There is a magic that happens when we do this. All kinds of unseen forces gather to enact help and change for us, opening up synchronicities and helpful resources and relationships. Our universe is an ever-expanding one, and as we move out of stuckness or ‘untruth’ we unleash a power of good on our behalf.

Supportive crystals this week?

Iolite illuminates your depths and helps you to see what’s hiding, and what you’re not seeing – a beautiful stone for boosting self-belief. It’s an unusual stone, but my pick for this week. Green Aventurine opens you out into possibility, tapping you into the joy of living and that wonderful feeling of gratitude. Any double-terminated crystal or cluster of crystals from the quartz family (think clear quartz, smoky, amethyst or citrine) placed in your workspace or the room where you spend most of your time will amplify these inner rays of soul-energy, helping you to recognise them and helping yourself and others to transform easily and with grace and joy.

Helpful essential oils?

I’m loving Young Living’s Envision this week. It’s an oil blend I often use in my workshops and retreats to help my students connect to inner wisdom and intuition. It helps us to see a greater possibility for ourselves. Use Envision for spiritual connection, inspiration and breakthroughs. Dab a drop on your Crown Chakra, back of neck, over your heart, wrists and the soles of your feet, inhale directly or add to your diffuser.

Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this week, but they’ll also make a delicious combination for diffusing. Vetiver will calm and ground us, promoting emotional balance, Lavender keeps us in flow and relaxed, Ylang Ylang opens our hearts and is supportive when we feel anxious or overwhelmed, and Bergamot brings joy, gratitude and optimism.  To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

Does Planning Your Future Press All The Wrong Buttons In You?

“Have no fear of perfection – you’ll never reach it.”
~ Salvador Dalí

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”
~ Maya Angelou

2016 is right on our doorstep.

For many people it’s a time of review. For some it’s a time of making New Year’s resolutions. And some of us are working with my Year of ME Planner – 2016.

Reviewing and planning your life – it sounds exciting, doesn’t it?

Except when it’s not.

I have always maintained that self work is some of the hardest work you can do. It’s easy to go through life busy – getting up every day tired, going to work or school, coming home to eat and watch a screen and then fall into bed. Repeat x 365. With the exception of holidays and Christmas. Busy numbs you. Routine numbs you. You don’t even have to think. Life becomes a series of multiple choice questions with the answers all there in front of you. Or we can let life drive us and carry us along.

Self-work wakes you up. Self work makes you examine your life. Who are you? What do you want? In what direction do you want your life to go?

When we begin to ask ourselves those questions it can be hard to truly see and own the choices (or lack of choices) we have made thus far.

It can be incredibly confronting to stand at the centre of our life and realise that we no longer know what makes us happy. Or worse, that we have become so disconnected from ourselves and from Spirit that we feel like we have only emptiness when we ask ourselves the big questions.

And there’s one other elephant that often creeps into the room when we do start to give ourselves permission to plan and dream and consciously create our lives.

That would be the elephant of Unworthiness.

That feeling where all our fear kicks in. All our self-doubt. The voice in our head, which is effectively silenced by hard work, routine, illness or fatigue, starts whispering and then shouting…

Not good enough

Too fat

No money

Too sick

Too old

Too stupid

Too late

I’ll fail

I don’t deserve it

It’s impossible

and all manner of other unhelpful things. All the old fears rush in. Plus a few new ones. Often that voice gets so loud that all we want to do is put down our Planner (Did I mention that I have an awesome Planner to really help you live consciously in 2016? 🙂 ) and go back to the numbness of the life we lived before.

You’ll know if that’s you.

You’ll move into a place of resistance. Of procrastination. Of crankiness even.

Excellent!

That’s always a positive sign that those buttons are being pushed in you because you are moving out of stuckness (where it’s safe) and back into the flow of life again.

I’d urge you to keep going with planning and dreaming and manifesting through your intention.

I know some of you will now counter that with, ‘But Nicole, you don’t understand! I’m sick. I have no money. No-one is helping me. My life sucks. How can I plan a better life when I am not even coping with my day? That’s so unrealistic – to dream of an ideal life, or even a better life, when were I am currently sucks so much.’

Nothing changes if nothing changes.

Remind yourself that self work is the hardest work you can do. Encourage yourself. Be gentle with yourself. Treat yourself kindly, like you would a small cranky, frightened child.

Know that sometimes this work needs time to flow. Stick with it. Work in small bites. You can always write a little bit down and then come back to your dreams and your life plan and add more later. Let it be an adventure in knowing yourself, rather than an awful chore that needs to be perfect or ‘done right’.

And most importantly?

NEVER LET YOUR CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES DICTATE YOUR FUTURE REALITY.

Imagination is a powerful force, and just like when you were a child, you can go into your imagination and create without limitation. Thoughts become things. Change is always possible.

Back in 2000, shortly after I was married, I became so sick from undiagnosed lyme that my husband was advised to put me into a nursing home. I had lesions on my brain. My cognitive ability was shot. I couldn’t walk, think clearly, or function in daily life. It was predicted that within six months I would be a drooling mess, and that within a few short years I would be dead.

But I still had my imagination, and my ability to dream.

I’m sure that’s what got me through.

And every single thing (bar one – having kids), on my list of dreams and seemingly impossible goals from that time in my life has now come true, even though at the time I was sick, had no money, life truly sucked, and I didn’t know HOW it would ever change.

Life is a great big adventure, and we never truly know how it will unfold for us. But thinking and dreaming is still free, and there is powerful magic in those two acts. Don’t give up on yourself!

2016 is almost here. It’s a whole book of blank pages for us to fill. Don’t let that be terrifying. Your imagination is a giant crayon box jam-packed with colour and possibility, longing to be let loose on those blank pages.

Dare to truly think. Dare to give yourself permission to imagine. Dare to dream.

Are You In Survival Mode For No Good Reason?

“Oh! that gentleness! how far more potent is it than force!”
~ Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre

Most of us are used to pushing, to working hard, to gritting our teeth and carrying on.

If there is a crisis in your life, that is often the only thing to be done. But sometimes, it seems that we become used to living as though all of our life is a crisis.

Friends, that’s not a great plan.

When we constantly push ourselves, and stress ourselves, we begin to alter our body’s chemistry. We normalise a state that is supposed to be about emergencies – living on our adrenalin and cortisol for a ‘fight or flight’ situation. In that state our digestion slows, our body is flooded with hormones that burden our livers, inflame our bodies, suppress our libidos and play havoc with sleep patterns. In that state we convert energy to fat, storing it for the coming crisis. We exhaust our adrenals, ruin our thyroids and put ourselves into chronic fatigue, emotional depletion and a place where everything becomes monochrome. We lose our joy. We lose ourselves.

If you are genuinely in crisis, with an abnormal amount of stress due to external conditions and circumstances, I wish you well and I pray for you the strength to get through these times the best that you can.

But if your whole life looks like a crisis, and you’re tired to the bones, numb from the grind of it all – maybe it’s time to change something. Because you are no longer living, you’re existing. You’re in survival mode. And that is no way to live a life.

When we get to that place we stop making good decisions and default to auto-pilot. We become broken robots.

Here are my top tips for moving back to a place of flow and balance so that you can begin enjoying life, and health, again:

  • Simplify. Let go of some of your responsibilities so that you can free up some time in your schedule.
  • Get a health check. If you’re exhausted/struggling/unwell all the time and your life looks pretty normal demand-wise, maybe there’s something else going on.
  • Delegate. Seriously, no one can do it all themselves. Get a team together.
  • Walk away. Sometimes the only thing left to be done is to walk away from the relationship, the job, or the situation. An ending, or a failure to complete, might actually be what’s needed to turn this around.
  • Change your job.
  • Take a holiday, or some time away from it all. Camping and house sitting are great options if finances are tight.
  • Postpone some of your projects, or lengthen out the timeframes.
  • Hire someone capable to sort it/fix it/build it for you.
  • Schedule catch-up sleep and downtime into your calendar as regular events.
  • Get your finances under control. Or get help to do this. No-one can get out from under that feeling of crisis if they are always worrying about where the next dollar is coming from, or how to pay off a mountain of debt. Make a plan and work the plan.
  • Downsize. Sell stuff. Make things more manageable.
  • Do the things that are important to YOU and quit doing things to please others or gain approval.
  • Make exercise and a healthy diet a priority.
  • Choose a hobby and make time for it by stopping something you don’t enjoy, or that doesn’t fill you up.
  • Stop taking new stuff on and get the backlog completed.
  • Say no to people and events. Create some room in your life for you.

Life is not always easy. Crazy stuff happens. Crisis sometimes too. But if your world has devolved into exhaustion and all the joy has been sucked out of living, it’s time for a change. It’s time to be kind to yourself and sort this mess out!

What’s your Power Word for 2013?

home_words-660x340

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1

The New Year – most people try to jam it full of resolutions.  All the things you are going to do.  All the things you are no longer going to do.

It’s become quite vogue-ish to create lists of resolutions for the key areas of your life. A list for finances, family, health, spirituality, matters of the heart, interests and hobbies, professional and personal development.

I don’t know about you, but for me that’s a little exhausting.

And another thing…

How am I ever going to remember all of those resolutions in my ‘key’ areas?

Image from www.ginyoton.com

Image from www.ginyoton.com

This year, I’ve ditched the resolutions. Instead I’m going with a far simpler system. I’ve narrowed my resolutions down to one word.

Every time I think of that word I am reminded of my intentions for 2013. I can hold that word up and use it to evaluate almost all of my actions, so that I can determine if I am moving towards or away from the energy of this word, this quality I want more of in my life.

My personal Power Word in 2013 is HEALTH. Now let’s work out what your word is.

JOURNAL ACTIVITY

journal-writing-11Finding your Power Word for 2013 is simply a matter of exploring what’s important to you. Is there a recurrent theme in your life you’d like to put more attention to, an area you’d like to shine in, or a dream that never gets air time?

Use the following Questions to help you arrive at your own Power Word or Power Phrase ( a Power Phrase has more than one word!)

  1. What’s the one key area of your life, that if you put purpose, passion and action to, would move you to a better place by the year’s end? Only choose one area. If you actually make all the change and improvement you need before the year is finished you can give yourself a well-deserved break, or choose another word!
  2. If you had this change in your life, what would your life look like?
  3. Write a list of positive words and phrases that embody for you the quality, activities, knowledge and actions of this key area. Is there one simple word or phrase that sums up this energy for you?

list-of-positive-words

Once you have your Power Word, commit it to memory. Write it in your diary. Place it on post-it-notes around your house, make it your screen saver – in short immerse yourself in this word, and the meaning of this word for you.

Let this one word remind you about what’s important to you this year.  Let this one word help you transform your life!

What to do when you’re forced to let go…

When you decide to let go, it empowers YOU. When we make the choice to let go, we change the dynamics of our lives, and by default, the lives of those around us.

So what happens if you are at the receiving end of letting go? We’ve all been there. Someone dies. We’re fired from our job. Our lover, partner, spouse ends our relationship.  A friend closes the door and says they don’t want us in their lives any more.  A family member stops speaking to us.

Our ability to respond, to change, to control, to continue, to hope…   it’s all taken away from us. We end up, we are sure, on the wrong side of the door. There’s no key. No one answers our knocks. Or worse, they shout for us to go away.

Whenever that happens we experience a kind of death. Whether it is a person who has passed over, or the end of something in our lives, there are phases we will go through.  Knowing that there are phases helps.  Then we can understand our emotions as a process.

The grief cycle looks like this:

In the aftermath of loss

Let yourself feel and honour what comes up for you. Be kind to yourself, and tolerant of your emotions.  Give yourself space to grieve and to heal.  Find support. Do what you can to nurture and uplift yourself. (abundant suggestions for self-nurture here) There is no denying that there will be pain. Loss is never fun. It’s not the season for that.

This sort of letting go, after the abrupt severance from the other end of the connection, is often harder at first than being the one who let go. At the point of consciously letting go, the other person has pulled back from you already. They knew what was coming.  It was their choice, and theirs alone, no matter how painful. You, at the receiving end, are gifted with  the frayed remains of something, the shock of the disconnect, the awful feeling of being DISEMPOWERED.

But wait.

We could get caught up in this sorry business here, but the longer we hold to it, the more we stay stuck in it.

Life changes.  Seasons come and go. Friendships, relationships, times in our lives – they all come to an end.  No one ever knows when a loved one will pass from our lives. The only thing we can know for certain is that change is inevitable, and that at some stage we will all die.

Allow yourself to grieve, and as you begin to emerge from grief, look for ways to continue living, ways to reconnect with family or community, ways to rediscover hope and gratitude. Know that when a loved one dies they are not lost to us, and that their love is enduring. I have seen so much of this in my work as a psychic, and it gives me incredible comfort.

And if your relationship has come to an end? If the job no longer wants you?

No matter how committed you were, no matter how much you gave, or loved, or tried…  it was no longer a good energetic fit.

Something had changed for the other person or party.  Maybe slowly, over a long time.  Maybe suddenly.  But with that knowledge, and that recognition of the lack of energetic fit, they drew back. One day they just woke up in bed with the wrong person and knew they couldn’t keep doing it  – and that person was you!

That’s so much of what the energies of 2012 are all about.  Change, dealing with change, creating change, growth. This year, especially, we will be compelled to change. The things that have no value, no integrity, no further use for us will be broken down.  Things that are unbalanced will need to come back into flow.

So if someone has closed the door on you? It means you are no longer an energetic match. One of you has changed enough that you no longer fit together. It leaves the ‘door-closer’ free to find a better match, or to stay unchanged if you are the one who is growing and evolving. Not everyone will embrace change and that’s okay.

More importantly, when a relationship ends, it leaves YOU free to connect to something that better honours you. Sometimes what feels terrible at the time turns out to be a Blessing in your life. The Universe has wisdom beyond anything we can ever understand.

So many times I have heard the story of a marriage ending, and then the person meets their life partner and soul mate. They continue to grow and evolve in ways that are healthy and positive.  They finally know contentment.

Publisher after publisher reject a novel.  Suddenly someone takes it up and it becomes a best seller. (This is reassuringly common!)

The job ends and the person takes a career change. Unexpected doors open, new directions unfold. Life opens out again. Life becomes more authentically matched to the talents and gifts of that person.

You get rejected from the University course you had your heart set on, go travelling and find a new love, a new direction, a new passion you didn’t know was in you.  You go from the misery of not ever being a Lawyer to the joy of being a Horticulturalist or a Pediatric Nurse where you KNOW it’s where you’re meant to be.

Life’s road has twists and turns.  Sometimes your companion on the road of life leaves. For a time you may need to walk solo.  But it’s a busy road.  Other walkers will be along.  Sometimes you will meet back up with the person you walked with before, and find your have both changed, both grown, and are able to come back together. Sometimes you’ll meet that person and they will be happily walking with a new companion, you’ll be walking with a new companion and you’ll breathe a sigh of relief that they are no longer in your lives. Often you’ll only discover and connect with your authentic self, and find your true direction, when you’ve walked a mile or two on your own.

We act as unknowing Angels in each other’s lives, helping each other find a path more suited to us. Sometimes we close the door.  Sometimes it is closed on us.  Life forks out in new directions.

The only thing you need to do is keep moving.  At some stage you need to pick yourself up from the floor, dust yourself off, and continue on the journey.  Who knows what adventure is around the corner?  Who knows what qualities you will find within yourself, what values you will come to hold dear? Who knows what companion might join you next?

There is a wisdom and a synchronicity within the Universe. We are loved and supported and guided at every turn. There is a season and a reason for everything, although this can be hard to see until we have walked further along the path and get to a place where we look back over our shoulder and finally understand.

Wishing you strength, courage and good cheer for the journey. Bless ♥ xx
