The Week Ahead – Oracle for Monday 13 February 2017

“Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.”
~ John F. Kennedy

Hello, Lovelies!

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen this Monday, and my take on the energetic outlook for the week ahead. I use any oracle or tarot cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book. ‘Growth’ is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman.

If you read my forecast for February, you’ll remember that February is all about turning inwards, and tuning in to our own wants and needs, staying true to ourselves and our goals despite our fears or what other people may tell us.

So, what gifts does Growth bring for you this week?

Growth reminds us that it takes time to work out who we are. It’s okay to be unsure. It’s also okay if it feels quite strange to begin honouring our own wishes, desires, decisions and needs after a lifetime of putting them second or hiding them off to one side.

Be aware – a side-effect of you beginning to speak up, or behaving and choosing differently is that some people might suddenly think that you’ve gone mad. Or that you need advice or therapy!

When we shift and change it can be quite confronting for the people around us who are still in the same space, and who expect that we’ll keep on being the same too. Our change creates change in the status quo for them, and change can be uncomfortable.

Growth reminds us that change and uncertainty are okay. There’s nothing wrong with you. You don’t need to be fixed because you’re not broken. You’re just evolving.

A big old tree began as a seed, which became a tiny seedling. Over time it grew and grew until it took the form you see today. But just like you it’s a work in progress. How the tree looks today is not how it will look in a year’s time or ten years time. Life is about change.

Embrace that concept of change this week. Grow. Move towards the light.

Trust your intuition and instincts. Keep growing, even if you don’t know yet what you are evolving into. It will all be okay. Embrace not knowing. Just keep growing!

Supportive crystals this week? Ametrine, White Howlite, Fluorite, Orange Calcite, Labradorite, Moonstone, Carnelian. Go with the one that feels right to you, or choose a few.

Helpful essential oils?  Young Living’s Joy or Acceptance essential oil blends, or  a combination (or singly!) of any of Rose, Rosemary, Lemon, Vetiver and Lavender. The Joy blend is fabulous if you are feeling anxious or uncertain, or a bit sad or stuck. It’s reassuring and uplifting; wonderful for gently shifting depression and self-doubt.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for a you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

The Week Ahead – Oracle for Monday 6 February 2017

perseverance chakra oracle

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”
~ Thomas A. Edison

‘Perseverance’ is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman.

If you read my forecast for February, you’ll remember that February is all about turning inwards, and tuning in to our own wants and needs, staying true to ourselves and our goals despite our fears or what other people may tell us.

So, what gifts does Perseverance bring for you this week?

This week’ s card is a huge reminder to you to stick with your plan or actions. This is especially true if you’re just starting out. This is especially true if you’re battle-weary and the road has been long and hard.

Keep going. Don’t quit.

Call on the Universe. Call on God, your Guides, your Angels. Call on Nature. Call on the earth and the sky and the wise old trees. Call in your Ancestors.

Feel the Universe in every cell of your body. You are made of stardust and cosmic energy. You are brought to life by the sun itself. Your very existence is a miracle.

Keep going. Even if progress is hard, or it seems impossible just now.

Go quiet and go within. Fill yourself up with inspiration. Remind yourself of your why. Tune in to your inner value. Feel that stardust in your bones. Stay away from your critics and haters and doubters. Minimise time with the crazymakers in your life. Go it alone if you have to.

Perseverance is all about feeling and acknowledging your doubts and fears, but continuing anyway.

Perseverance is about knowing that when you rise up, others will too. You are never alone. Although it may feel like the world has gone mad, know that other people – just like you – are rising up beside you. There is a quiet revolution happening. Change is coming.

Don’t give up on your dreams, or your wishes for the world. Hold true to your vision for your best life.

Need extra support? Don’t be afraid to seek professional help. Find a good counsellor, a coach, a physician or lawyer.

This week, do the hard thing. Persevere with your plans. Act, even though you are frightened and anxious. As you decide, as you act, magic will begin to happen. You will begin to gain traction in your life again. Stuck will turn to flow.

Breakthrough could be just around the next corner.

Supportive crystals this week? Citrine, Smoky Quartz, Clear Quartz, Ametrine, Tiger Eye and Garnet.

Helpful essential oils?  Young Living’s Believe essential oil blend, or  a combination (or singly!) of any of Peppermint, Basil, Geranium and Lavender. I have a big soft spot for the Believe oil blend. It’s one of my go-to oils and it’s in my diffuser every time I work on my Planner, on my business, while I’m writing or journalling, or when I am considering making changes in my life. It smells beautiful too – uplifting and so pretty.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for a you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

The Week Ahead – Oracle for Monday 30 January, 2017

enlightenment

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
~ Marianne Williamson

Hello, Lovelies!

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen this Monday, and my take on the energetic outlook for the week ahead. I use any oracle or tarot cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book. ‘Enlightenment’ is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman.

If you read my forecast for January, you’ll remember that this is a month for seeing yourself and your life with fresh eyes – a month for stepping out of your old story and writing a new one for the years ahead, one that expands your possibilities and that brings you meaning and joy. I’ll be posting the monthly forecast for February on Wednesday but I’ll give you a quick sneak-peak now. February is all about turning inwards, and tuning in to our own wants and needs, staying true to ourselves and our goals despite our fears or what other people may tell us.

So, what gifts does Enlightenment bring for you this week?

Enlightenment is all about our Solar Plexus chakra – our sense of who we are, our inner authority and confidence, and our dreams of who we might become. This week we begin to see what we can create for ourselves and our lives. We glimpse the person we could evolve into, we see where a new relationship might go, or what our business idea could evolve into. We are able to feel into so many current and future possibilities and directions. Old dreams and projects that never got off the ground will also resurface, begging you to try them one more time.

It’s exciting stuff, and it may also be a little overwhelming.

Know that as these possibilities come to you, so will something else…

Your fears will pay you a visit. All of the self-doubt, not-good-enough, fear of success, fear of failure, fears of every colour and size and temperament will make themselves known in direct proportion to the size of the actions you’ll need to take to get to where you want to go.

Expect those fears. Welcome them in. Listen to them for a moment if you must. Then give them a seat and tell them to stay quiet while you go about your life.

When our Solar Plexus is balanced we feel calm, energised, clear and certain about who we are and where we are going in life. It instills us with confidence, vitality and purpose. We have self-control and sovereignty in our lives.

When our Solar Plexus Chakra is unbalanced and low in energy we feel ‘less than’, our self-esteem and confidence drop, we feel flat and tired, and we may be lost and confused about what is best for us and which direction to take. We make poor choices and don’t seem to care or be able to stop ourselves even though we are aware of our patterns.

When the chakra is too energised we can become stubborn, intolerant, narrow-minded, bossy and overbearing. We become workaholics who are relentlessly driven and who take no joy from life.

Guided Meditation To Balance the Solar Plexus Chakra:

I’ve recorded a short guided meditation for you to help balance and work with the energy of your Solar Plexus Chakra. All you need to do is sit or lie comfortably and follow along with the sound of my voice:

Supportive crystals this week? Citrine, Orange Calcite, Tiger Eye, Yellow Topaz and Smoky Quartz. Other actions that support the Solar Plexus Chakra include dancing; journal writing, and exercises which stretch and move the hips and belly.

Helpful essential oils?  Young Living’s Believe essential oil blend, or  a combination (or singly!) of any of Rosemary, Bergamot, Cedarwood and Lavender.

Pushing Boundaries

“Sometimes there’s just no way to hold back the river.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

When I was younger, and just starting out on my spiritual journey, I longed for a teacher to show me the way. But there was no teacher, so I stumbled my way forward, helped by my sister and some friends, and my wonderful Guides.

Now I’m all grown up, it’s my great joy to be that teacher and mentor for others.

Today I begin a five-day Channelling Intensive Retreat in Byron Bay, with a hand-picked bunch of students. I’ll be teaching them some high level metaphysical skills, and mentoring them to use their natural psychic abilities to find clearer direction for their personal and professional lives. And I know that they are all feeling excited and terrified in equal measure.

That’s as it should be.  It’s always scary when we try something new, no matter how much we want that thing. Over the next few days I’m expecting lots of breakthroughs!

Of course, I’ve also timed our retreat to coincide with the Full Moon, which will provide us with abundant energy for change and growth.

I’m going to make sure that my students really push their boundaries, and in the process they’ll find out what I already understand – that they are capable of so much more than they ever dreamed of.

It’s a great time right now for changing direction, for reaching beyond your current perceived limits, for stepping into the energy of your dreams.

So, if I could ask you one question today, it would be this:

What do you want, more than anything?

Go on.  It’s 2012! Take a little step towards your dream this week. No grand parade, no sweeping announcements – instead breathe in, breathe out, commit and just begin.

Life is too short to live small.

Wishing you a week of tiny steps, breakthroughs and soul magic ♥ Live from the light of your heart! xx

Patience and Right Timing

The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.

~ Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy

If you read yesterday’s post, you’ll know that I am a big fan of trusting in two things: Universal Wisdom and Right Timing.

You might wonder what that has to do with patience? Everything, my friends, everything!

Why? Well, when we are asking for a sign, when we’re newly on our path, when we’re in the early stages of love, a new diet, a fledgling business or a fresh story idea we are usually good with waiting, and things unfolding in a gradual or haphazard manner. We most often have a sense of support too, and that loved-up and cosy feeling of being listened to by the Universe, God, our Guides, Angels or whomever else we feel is out there for us.

But what happens when the newness wears off?

This is usually where we start to falter.

When things are new, or the search hasn’t even really begun yet, we run on excitement, hope, anticipation and adrenalin.

But when we are well into things, or what we want hasn’t shown up yet, or we’re staring up at the bigness of the project we have just undertaken, we can wonder if we are EVER going to achieve the thing we desire. We become impatient.

Doubt creeps in. Fear too. And once you’ve cracked the door open to doubt and fear, all those lousy opportunistic emotions and limiting beliefs from our past start tapping us on the shoulder: defeat, failure, not good enough, not smart enough, not pretty enough, not worthy enough, too old, too fat, too late…

All things take time.  And I have seen too many people walk away from the thing that was actually working, just because it wasn’t unfolding within the time-frame they’d set for it.

Oh, we say to ourselves.  Love is NEVER coming.

Oh, this business is NEVER going to make money.

I’ll NEVER get this book published.

Or whatever other sad story you tell yourself…

And so you stop what you’re doing.  You give up.  You go home.

But what makes you so wise that you can suddenly know the workings of the Universe?

What makes you think that you can have a plan better than Divine Timing?

It’s a bit like being three months pregnant and ready to have that baby RIGHT NOW, because the nursery is painted, the freezer is full of casseroles and you have a few weeks leave up your sleeve.  Come on, baby, you think.  I’m ready!  Let’s do it!!! Only problem is, babies take longer to make than three months.

If I have any advice for you, it’s this:

❤ Relax and enjoy the journey! When we are patient, we perfect our craft.  We grow, and learn and develop all manner of new talents and insights. We gain mastery. It’s never just about the destination – and it’s always about the becoming…

❤ Trust that Universal Wisdom has a much better plan than anything you could come up with on your own, and all you need to do is keep putting one foot in front of the other, living with an open heart and an open mind.

❤ Know that things have a wonderful way of working out with Right Timing. And that timing is usually not YOUR timing.  If it hasn’t shown up yet, if it’s taking too long, there’s a reason for that. You just can’t see that from where you’re standing, and you might be closer than you think.

You ARE supported and well-loved, and there IS a magic and a wisdom to the way things unfold for us.

Your job is to be happy, to follow your heart, to live with gratitude and compassion and to be open to opportunities and miracles. You’re not in this alone, so stop acting like it and start trusting! ❤

I’ve recorded a simple Guided Meditation to help you relax into the energy of patience and trust.  All you need to do is click on the link below, and then close your eyes and listen…

Fall down seven times, stand up eight…

Australian Soldier at Gallipoli WWI. Image from awm.gov.au

This post is dedicated to the members of our Defence Forces, Emergency Services and their families, past and present, and to everyone who is facing hardship, no matter it’s nature.

There is something that many people don’t know about courage. Something most people don’t know about strength, and resilience…

We usually only find these qualities in ourselves when we’re already on our knees.

There is no need for it when things are going well. When we are in flow and life is good, the gifts at our core are hidden from view.

So you won’t know you have it in you until the day you need it.

Life is never all smoothing sailing.  The good times don’t prepare us for the bad.

But I promise you, when it gets hard, if you dig deep you’ll find that there is a place inside you you didn’t know was there.  A place of courage and grace and steely determination.  A place of valour and a drive to stand up and keep going, even when you don’t know how, even when you don’t know if standing back up is actually possible yet.

But you can’t win at life when you’re on your knees. You can’t win if you give up. Victory might be around the next corner.  Or the next.

The Japanese proverb, Fall down seven times, stand up eight... speaks to the heart of this.

Guided Meditation for Panic, Anxiety and Fear

Fear is static that prevents me from hearing myself.  ~Samuel Butler

There are times when all of us will know fear, when anxiety will slowly cripple us, when panic takes hold. I’m not talking about those moments in life that truly deserve such a heart-jolting response; a gun pointed at us, the moment before a car crash, watching our child move into danger, fleeing a flood or a fire… I’m talking about those days, weeks or months where, stretched to breaking point, (for some of you, well beyond that place) or confronted with being well outside our comfort zone, our normal coping mechanisms go haywire, and we find ourselves in the midst of a physical response that hinders rather than helps us.

Since I developed cardiomyopathy I’ve come to know this set of emotions rather well. Crazy really.  My enlarged heart needs to be calm and unruffled. But when it does something unexpected, some days I feel myself edge towards anxiety, fear or even worse, panic. It can be a scary thing when your body does things that cause sudden acute pain, or a feeling of impending death. And fear begets fear!

Just last night as I lay in bed it felt like my heart had turned to jelly and was wobbling all about on a plate in my chest – an awful flubby, slurpy, erractic heart-beat feeling. Oh, for a moment I was gripped with fear. For a moment I could feel myself slide towards panic. And of course that’s the last thing I need to be experiencing. How will I ever heal if I sit in that energy?

Fortunately I’ve been a life-long meditator, and I have tools at my disposal to help put me back into flow. So I said to myself, ‘I shall do a meditation.  If it’s not any better by the end I shall call an ambulance.  But if it’s better I’ll do more meditation and then I will go to sleep and wake up feeling better, stronger and clearer.’  And of course, that’s what happened.

So much of this wave of horrid fear, panic and anxiety is about us feeling dis-empowered, and unable to effect any control in our lives. It’s true that we may not be able to have control over things external to us, but we are always able to influence our thoughts, our emotions, even our physical reactions.

I’ve recorded a guided twelve minute meditation that takes you through the process I use for myself to find that calm centre within, to regain my strength and composure. The more your practise this meditation, the more you will come to find that you can get on top of these feelings, and return to a place of peace. Have a glass of water ready.  When you are finished, drink some of this water to help anchor the images and feelings created during your meditation.
