Find Your Voice! Monday Oracle 15 April 2019

Hello, Lovelies!

April calls you to live from your heartspace. This month lifts you above your obstacles or helps you to blaze a trail through them. Expect magical insights and guidance to help light the path ahead. It’s time to believe in yourself and your dreams even if no-one else yet believes. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the card Sound brings us.

This week Sound calls us to stand strong in honouring our own truth and honouring our own voice. There are so many ways that we quieten that voice and so many ways we diminish our truth. Not all of that is deliberate. As a society, we are taught to be polite, to get along, to put the needs and happiness of others before our own. (You can read more about this here). But our voice matters too. Speaking and living from our heart space and living our truth helps bring us into alignment with situations, opportunities and relationships that are more suited to our ethics, values, beliefs and talents.

Of course, I urge you to be sensible. Sometimes that truth doesn’t need to be spoken aloud, because doing so might put you in a difficult or dangerous position. But even acknowledging that truth to yourself can help you to choose a different course of action, to leave a job or relationship that no longer works for you, and to begin thinking about options that will suit you better than your current situation.

Sound is also about leadership. It is about being in that place where we can lead family or friends or business or a community by being ourselves and singing our own song in a way that attracts everyone else to us.

When we speak our truth, when we’re speaking our message we attract the people who need that message or who are aligned with whatever it is we are sharing.

If you’ve got a dream, a vision for a business, or something you’d like to offer in the world Sound encourages you to work towards making that a reality this week. Trust that someone will want what you have to offer. Be a contributor – add your voice and energy and know you were given these ideas or gifts for a reason.

Most of all, seek out what makes you happy and reach for what gives you joy. Life is too short to be miserable, stuck and unable to express your true feelings and innermost self.

On December 15 we held a Channelling Night at our Brisbane Pop Up Event where I channelled my Guides Rollo, Sokli and Silith so that they could share information and insights about the year ahead, among other things.

We were inundated with requests to record the event for those people who were unable to attend on the night.

In response to that request we have now made those recordings available.

There are four files, and over 90 minutes of recording.

I rarely conduct channelling sessions outside my retreats, so this is a very special offering. Among other things Silith talked about the energies of 2018, Sokli discussed some rituals and meditations to help create a fresh start for the new year, and Rollo talked about navigating relationships and developing a sense of belonging.

These nights are always entertaining, educational and often very enlightening, and we hope you’ll find some useful information here for your year ahead. (Please note – there are a handful of swear words and more adult themes in Rollo’s recording)

These files are live recordings so there is some background noise and we have not cleaned them up with music or anything else like that. The Guide Channellings are good quality, but the introduction file does have some background noise.

Introduction to Channelling – 9 minutes. This file introduces my Guides, how I connected with them and a little bit about each of them. The quality of this file is not great, but the information is important so I’ve included it.

Sokli’s Channelling – 20 minutes. Sokli is a 200-year-old flower fairy. She talks to us about how to get out of our heads and into our whole-body wisdom. She shares some fascinating information about the various organs and places in our body and how they hold wisdom, and she has some simple rituals to help us to reconnect with and reclaim our bodies. The crystal Sokli talks in relation to the ritual is an ametrine (a combination of amethyst and citrine in the one stone).

Silith’s Channelling -30 minutes. Silith is a fairy Elder, an Ancient who is thousands of years old. She talks about the energies of 2017 and the years that have preceded this, and why this has been a difficult time for many of us. She also explains the energies of 2018, why we are here at this time on the planet, how we can best use these energies for ourselves and our own happiness, and how to use crystals to help hold and radiate energy and intention in the year ahead.

Rollo’s Channelling – 32 minutes. (With a short Native American flute intro by Mike Mee) Rollo is my gatekeeper guide, and he has had many human incarnations. In this recording he discusses relationships, how to navigate them, and our role as Elders within our communities and in the new energies. Rollo is often hilarious, but he has a deeper message, and he always counsels us to find our own innate wisdom, and to enjoy the process of being human. An uplifting and engaging conversation with some real-life insights and tips to make 2018 easier and more enjoyable for ourselves and our loved ones and communities.


Create Positive Change Program – Week 8

Congratulations! You made it to the final week of our Positive Change Program. This week’s about putting it all together, and then making a commitment to follow through on the dreams, plans and concrete steps we’ve identified in our journey to become MORE than we currently are, and to move from here to somewhere new.

There are tremendous energies of change around us right now, and if we actively use these energies instead of fighting against them, we’ll begin to create a life that is more aligned with who we are on the inside, and who we desire to become.

Doing this work sets us up well for 2014, and the expansiveness and opportunities that accompany the new year.

So let’s go!

Count Your Blessings!

Your Blessings Book can become a great source of comfort and inspiration.

Recording the small and simple blessings and the peak moments in our day reminds us of the positive energy already present in our lives.  As we focus on this positive feel-good energy, we attract more of these moments and blessings to us.

Reading back over these blessings reminds us of how rich our lives already are. It also shows themes – the things that you’re aware of and that are important to you, and gives you hints about what to include more of in your life.

Once again this week write down three blessings in your life every day – three simple things for which you are grateful.

Write them like this: Today I am thankful for (the blessing) because (write down a simple reason). eg: Today I am thankful for early mornings, because they are my time for meditating, writing and connecting. Early mornings set up my whole day in a positive way!

I keep a Blessings Book as a regular part of my life. Perhaps you’d like to extend this practice past the end of the course. I promise it’s worthwhile!

Affirm the Positive!

Take your rock from Week Seven and thank it. Write the Affirmation you used in your Blessings Book. You can now place the seventh rock beside your bed or somewhere where you’ll see it often.

Select the eighth and final rock from those you selected at the start of this course. This is your eighth Affirmation Stone. Carry it around with you, or place it somewhere where you can see and hold it every day.

Hold this eighth stone in your hands. Now think of who you want to be become, and what you hope to achieve through this positive change. This week we’re focusing on OUR EMERGING SELVES. We’re going to see ourselves as we wish to become and affirm that as a statement of declaration to the Universe.

When we state that we ARE something, we’re saying to the Universe ‘Hey! Line me up with all the good stuff that matches this new picture of myself’ and we begin to build a powerful belief within us. It’s all about claiming who we are and committing to that energy.

State it like this: I AM NOW ON MY WAY TO  ______.

Get excited about having this new energy in your life. As you affirm it, really see yourself doing it, having it, being it. Own that image of yourself.

Give yourself permission to become this thing.

Using your Gratitude Rock

This little rock is becoming a powerhouse of positive energy. Even simply holding it will be tuning you in to this. As you hold your stone tonight say to yourself I am richly Blessed. I have an Abundance of Good in my life.  Then hold in your mind one or more image of a thing you have been grateful for today.  It doesn’t matter if you review your Blessings from your Blessing Book, or add in something new.  Swell that positive energy up in your heart like a beautiful golden light, and give a heart-felt Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to the Universe. Visualise a tiny shower of golden light travelling from your heart into your Gratitude Rock.

Now imagine all of the other people who are taking part in this Positive Change Program with us – people from all over the world, just like you. Once again build up a strong positive energy in your heart, and then imagine shooting a stream of golden light out into the Universe to those people. Each of us benefits for the love and support we share, and we grow stronger and more open and connected.

Say Thank you.  I Bless You.  I intend for you Positive Change, Love, Miracles and Abundance. Know that as you are saying this for them, they are also saying this for you. Feel that connection and gratitude and know that there is real love and support for you here. Place your rock back beside your bed, and close your eyes, cocooned in this good energy. Know that you ARE making positive change in the world, and in your life, and helping others to do the same.

You’ve explored so much over the past seven weeks. Your journal and your Blessings Book are now filled with clues that can help you build a road map for continuing to work with the energy of change.

Your task this week is to take some real time – a minimum of thirty minutes, but you may need a few hours – and review what you have written.

  • Take a highlighter and mark any words, sentences or paragraphs that really stand out for you.
  • Look for common themes; ideas and concepts that come up more than once. Write them down so that you KNOW you’re finally paying attention to yourself and your own heart and soul wisdom.
  • Pay attention to anything that literally jumps off the page at you. Those things are usually a very good indication of a place to start.

Then look at the Action Steps you identified in Week Seven.

Based on all of this, write a new, expanded list of action steps. Some will be things you can start on straight away. Some will become part of your longer term plan. These steps create the road map that gets you from where you are now to where you want to be.

Commit to working on your plan. Commit to having, doing and being more. And then honour that commitment by putting energy into these things.

Our lives are a work in progress. And it’s likely that as we travel we’ll change headings, happen upon new things that appeal to us, and let go of other things we’re done with. That’s okay. What’s important is that in moving forward, we’re getting ourselves out of stuckness and back into flow. And flow is where the magic happens.

Working to Create Positive Change – An 8 Week Program

We’re living in exciting times – times that are opening us up to great new possibilities and future directions. But how can we make the best of these energies of change that are upon us?

Over the next eight weeks each Monday (that’s Sunday for you folk on the other side of the world to Australia!) I’ll be giving you some simple suggestions, activities, journal exercises and meditations to help you to work with these energies and create positive change in your own lives.

Are you ready to embrace change? Or even just the idea of things being better than they are now?

Do you already have a burning desire to create a new future for yourself?

To get your Embracing Change Toolkit ready make sure you find the following before we begin next week:

  • A large journal or notebook (you can also use your computer or ipad if that works for you)
  • A small journal or notebook (ditto the computer or ipad for this one too)
  • Some pens (feel free to have some different colours to choose from!)
  • 8 little stones or crystals (any type is fine – just go with what you’re drawn to or what is to hand)
  • A Gratitude Rock. This is a stone that will fit comfortably into your hand.  It can be a crystal or an ordinary garden variety rock. Choose what feels good to you. (If you took part in my 30 Day Gratitude Challenge last year, feel free to use that stone, which will already have lots of good energy invested in it!)
  • A window of thirty minutes each week to complete your homework, plus five minutes at the beginning or end of every day.

One last thing…

Think of your future, right now. Go on! What’s your innermost desire?

Name it. Then make a wish. I dare you!

The Universe specialises in delivering the kind of magic ordered up by your heart.

And if you’re so stuck that you don’t have a clue what your innermost desire is, then just wish for clarity. Easy. 🙂

Why do you keep running from the thing you want?

It’s a simple enough question. And today I’m asking you. Why? Why do you keep running in the opposite direction to the thing you want?

If I could I would sit you down here, under the tree at my farm, or on the veranda. I would make you a cup of tea. And then I would tell you this:

Point 1 – None of this matters. Our life is here and gone in the blink of an eye. The things that seem so vitally important to us will be rendered into nothingness and dust by the processes of time. So, in the face of that, have courage. Who cares if your idea is crazy? Who cares what others might think of you? One day no-one will remember anyway…

Point 2 – I know I just said it doesn’t matter, but the truth is it matters to you. If it didn’t matter you wouldn’t be all tied up in knots over it. And the whole point of you living YOUR life is to take hold of the things that matter and shape them into a meaningful existence for yourself, one where you can look back and think ‘I did that’. Doing what matters to you makes for a satisfying life. So you need this thing; not for anyone else, not to impress, not to win prizes or have your name in lights – you need this thing to define you, to fulfill you, to forge you into the person you came here to become.

I know it’s scary. But there is something worse than the fear that keeps you running in the opposite direction. The scariest thing is getting to the end of your life without ever having tried, and then running out of time.

Maybe this thing is so important to you (in fact the most meaningful thing in your life – perhaps your very life essence… ) that you fear attempting it. If you hold this thing out in front of you it remains a possibility, but if you try it and fail the dream is gone. And then what will have meaning in your life?

Have you no faith? The Universe never whispers in our ear, our heart never holds a deep desire, unless we have within us the potential to realise that dream.

Don’t talk yourself out of it without ever having tried.


I’ve heard all the excuses.

You fear that you will be successful and then everyone will want something from you and you will lose your freedom, or be under enormous pressure to keep succeeding. If this is you, refer back to Point 1.

You believe that you’re not worthy. You believe that success belongs to others. Or maybe you’re punishing yourself by not striving for this thing.  Perhaps you’re thinking too much about others and not enough about yourself. Refer back to Point 1.

Enough already.  Refer to Point 2.

You know this thing you want is always in the back of your mind, and often in your daily thoughts.  It comes to you in quiet moments, and pops into your consciousness when you least expect it.  Busily you turn away, stuff it down, talk yourself out of it, step around it and come up with another validation for why you’re not doing it, can’t do it, and so on…

All this energy you’re using to run away would be better spent in doing the thing.

All you need to do is start.  No grand gestures, no wild positioning statements, no colossal expectations.

Stop running. Take a breath. Find a place to make a modest beginning, and just start. You don’t even need to look this thing square in the eye. That will come, in time. For now, know that turning to face your dream and engaging with some small part of it is all you ever have to do.

You are here for a reason.  In your heart-of-hearts you know that reason by name. And this world will be the poorer if you never take your place in the sun.

You’re the only one here who can do it. That’s why it’s calling your name.

Stop running.

It’s time to embrace the dream and become who you came here to be.

Sometimes the wrong road leads you in the right direction. When I look back on my life I can see that this one place, deep in the heart of Australia’s magnificent Kimberley region, was a game changer for me. It broke something open in me that I have never, ever, been able to put back in the box. I was taken in and cradled in the Kimberley’s rugged wilderness and vast encompassing ageless energy. And I emerged forever changed. Let me tell you what happened…

Years ago when I was in my twenties, for a time I called a million-acre cattle property home.  It hadn’t been my idea to go there, and I was filled with resentment at the thought.  This was a time when I was in a failing relationship, I’d been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, and my psychic abilities (which I mostly kept secret for fear of ridicule and rejection) were becoming troublesome and worrying.  I didn’t like how my life looked, and all I wanted was to be ‘normal’ and healthy.  I felt like I’d ended up in the wrong life somehow.

It took four days to drive across the country, east to west, to get to this place.  Along the way my travelling companion and I camped, sleeping rough in swags. Two nights before we arrived, I couldn’t sleep. I was edgy with anticipation, nerves and something more. Just after midnight a barn owl came and landed in the tree above me.  I looked at it.  It looked at me. And a shiver ran through me.

I felt sick with a sense of something ending, something changing, and I wanted with all my might to run away from my life. But I kept staring at that owl, and it kept staring at me.

I was being stupid. I was tired and stressed and over-emotional.  At least that’s what I told myself.

The owl was still in the tree at dawn when we packed up camp and moved on. I couldn’t get it out of my mind. That night we stayed in town.  No owls. I settled down. There was no life-changing anything; just another remote-area job I was going to.

It was a long drive in to the station the next day, over a rough dirt road with a couple of river crossings.  At the tail end of the wet season that road was still closed, except to locals.

I soon worked out why. One hundred and ten kilometres looked like it should take an hour and a half. But with the road in a perilous condition it took nearly six.

The last crossing, just before the homestead, was quite flood affected. A big yellow grader had driven down the road on the other side of the river, and the driver offered to give us a tow rope to guide our vehicle over. But with gritted teeth and some determination the old ute chugged on through, water right up to the door handles.


On the other side of the river crossing I got out of the car, exhausted, hot and filthy. The grader driver came over, a middle-aged wiry aboriginal stockman.  He extended his hand and introduced himself to my companion.

Then he came around the car to me.

I thought he would say hello.  Instead he took his bony index finger and thrust it against my breast bone, just above my heart. He poked me so hard it hurt.

“You dat ting,” he said to me. No hello, no how are you.  Instead he did it again.  He poked me hard with his bony black finger.  “You dat ting.”  He tapped me twice and said it emphatically.  Like it meant something. His eyes held mine.  I had no idea what he was saying or how to respond.

And then he ignored me.  We followed him up to the camp.

You that thing, he’d said to me. What thing? Why was he so rude?

The whole afternoon and evening the aboriginal stockman ignored me. It was like I had become invisible. That night, after dinner, all the workers sat around a camp fire.  The stockman took out his guitar and played and I sat quietly, uneasy, hanging back from the group a little.

An owl came down and sat in the low branches of a tree. No one else paid it any attention. As the evening drew to a close and everyone got up to go to bed, I found myself walking back to my room beside the stockman.

“You see dat owl?” he said to me, turning to face me, his eyes intense.

I nodded.

He showed a sudden interest.  “How many fella you see?”

“One,” I replied.

The stockman grunted and walked off.

I went to bed feeling dispirited and very alone. My dreams, when they finally came, were turbulent and haunting. I woke crying, and was sure I’d made a terrible mistake coming to this isolated place.  I ached for the sea, and all I had left behind.
